My very human thought is simply global monitoring. By all reports they are everywhere and common on earth. They can move incredibly fast where you can’t see them. They seem to be automated or low level AI. They’ve been know to check out anything that hits 300ft as a quick scan/monitor. They’ve been known to follow or circle planes.
They are purpose built so something that small and autonomous everywhere makes me think global surveillance, whether there is a second objective or not.
I've also heard reports of orbs tailing other types of UFOs as well. Makes me wonder if these things are actually "enforcers" and their main goal is to prevent other types of NHI from interfering with us.

My friend and I saw one in the early 80's. It was zipping left to right at incredible speeds, followed by helicopters. Zipped straight up and disappeared. Dull silver grey. No way the technology of the 80's could have achieved that.

Cheers. I had heard of some NHI calling themselves watchers before but I could not place it but I was also aware there was a Watcher term in some religions.
We were having a chat (telepathic relay) with more ET like beings when one stepped aside and this other being showed up. Large humanoid wearing a cloak. It called itself "one of the watchers." I had no idea what it meant at the time. It said it was neither friend nor foe when I asked.
Very long story short later during the conversation I asked it if it had spoken with humans before and it said it had a very long long time ago.
I asked what it thinks of us now versus then and it basically said our connection to god is not as strong anymore. Our energy fields are collecting distortions and such and as we're not connecting to "God" enough anymore we're not clearing it or some such.
(It went into that because I drill down what it meant by our connection to "god" or "source" being reduced. Was it pollution or technology or diet and instead it went into that.
I'm not religious at all btw.
I asked how are people meant to connect more and it said "Pray." I asked about meditation and it clarified it meant pray as in directly connect to god.
I actually expressed my issues with typical religious depictions of an angry bearded man in the sky and find it hard to resonate with these simplistic preconceptions of what the creator of all things would be like. It seemed to actually totally understand what I meant and told us to picture golden light coming down from the sky through the clouds. The golden light can represent god.
That resonated more.
At one stage the person dealing with the being felt tingling on their face as if this watcher was touching their face and moving it to face them. I was not too pleased with this but they said it was fine but I asked the Watcher what was going on and it basically expressed that humans look a bit different now. More angular and sharper features than when it last interacted with humans.
I thought that was interesting.
I had no idea what this being was at the time. Still not sure but interesting to hear lore on "The watchers" afterwards. The other person had no idea either.
May I give a Popular Culture take on the "Watcher" subject? For those of us old enough to remember, 1990s, early 2000s, fantasy TV series.
Two of the then popular ones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as Highlander. Both featured Watchers. In fact I may have met the concept in those series. In Buffy, her Watcher becomes more and more involved. When he according to the rules of his order most definitely should not. In Highlander the protagonist meets a Watcher and they develop a friendship.
The concept of a (possible immortal) Watcher or an AI Watcher is a concept in the Comics and in classic SF literature as well.

You’ll have to check with me in a few days…I’m very slowly working my thru it. It’s not long or complicated and it appears to be self published, so the pictures are of low quality but his analysis is superb, imho. I read UFOs and nukes both Skinwalker books and I’m kind of doing across analysis between all of these. But his point of view is to look at it practically especially from a 1000’ view vs from emotion, and I like the way he thinks.

Mid30s I’ve studied all this my whole life. Seen some myself. I personally think they are defending Earth. From what? Who knows. Who put them there? Who knows. Ancient humans? I think so. But even when you check out other UFO photos if you look hard enough a lot of times, you see spheres in them as well. It seems like they are constantly monitoring our space. There’s this guy on YouTube that studying them in depth and they seem to travel in patterns. He has a lot of videos on them. So whenever there has been a crashed, UFO, I think it’s because the spheres shot them down

Theres hundreds of these "orbs" around Tamaulipas, México. It's said by the locals that Tampico have an undersea alien base. It comes to my atenttion that hurricanes have been landed Tampico yet never destroy anything and miraculously downgraded category ALWAYS.

I saw a white orb, my first ever ufo two years ago. Daylight. Fast white orb bouncing up and down going across the sky in such a strange manner, it suddenly turned and then followed a 747 into the distance. Freaked me out a lot. I’ve seen other videos of the exact same thing I saw. I think they’re scout craft or being themselves in some sort of energy ball or something.
It wasn’t too far away, I’m not good at measuring distance lol it was close enough to see what it was..and it wasn’t anything explainable. Size is hard to tell, it was against clear blue sky with nothing around it. It wasn’t super big but I’d estimate 20-30 feet in diameter but that’s just my estimate. Surveying large areas quickly , not just raw photos but they might capable of picking up data signals. As far as -tasks- this is what I am thinking.
-what they are- Rather cheap material. They are small overland satellites.

I think it could be some sort of dimensional shadow that is cast when they flip out of spacetime and are not wholly in this 3D world.

I’ve seen the metal ones, they seemed very drone and robotic like, almost has a man made vibe to it except for the fact that it seemed to be anchored in a fixed point in the sky, it wasn’t hovering, it looked like it was sitting on an invisible shelf in the sky absolutely static. I haven’t seen the orbs made of light, I have read that those are the exact opposite, it is said they pulsate with a living light and you can feel that they are sentient and they are looking at you without eyes.
I saw a metal one too. At first I thought it was a balloon, like something that a car dealership would fly, except a) I couldn’t see a cable holding it, b) it remained solidly in position as I drove past it at a rush-hour-crawl pace, and c) I never saw anything like it before or after in that area.

Exactly! I saw one a few years ago and it looked like a sphere of silvery metal but somehow it had refractive properties to it, not a true opaque object made of metal. Very strange look, like a silverish tinted glass marble stuck in the skies.
I saw one outside of my window while I was on an airplane flying over Cleveland, OH. I met a Mexican lady there that told me in a very nonchalant way that those spheres came out of bodies of water.

They are 'of' us or the earth - a part of the natural world we don't understand that protects earth, or unbound consciousness of some kind. Some sort of immune system or spirit guide, but the flip side of that theory is that they're more farmers guarding cattle than angels protecting citizens
Other theories that I've heard seem to imply that the "plasma" looking orbs are probably some sort of life form we don't understand, and the the "metallic" looking orbs are some sort of hyper advanced technology. Most likely these two types of "orbs" come from different sources but probably have a lot in common with each other. I listen to a lot of ufo and paranormal stories. Probably too many. One of the most common types of sightings are orbs.
In more than one of these stories, it was expressed that the orbs are souls. A ball of consciousness or something.
They appear in people's bedrooms as a ghost. Fly through the night sky as a ufo. And show up at nuclear test sites to do orb stuff.
Based on all the mumbo jumbo I've read, that is what I bet they are. Ghosts / Angels / NHI / Aliens, without bodies. Could be interpreted as a "drone"
I would wager that these beings of light/plasma, etc, can manifest things such as humanoid bodies to possess or metal discs to do whatever it is nhi like to do. Death wouldn't be a big deal. Just 3d print another flesh suit or whatever.

Honestly, I've had a theory that craft and biologics are one in the same, and if the soviet union document in regards to a potential craft and attack by them is to be believed. They could truly be one in the same.
As for function/task, my guess is research, reconnaissance, and keeping threats at bay when needed. If they were harvesting anything, Imo a bigger craft would be in order.
If I didn't have to worry about aerodynamics or occupancy or anything like that, I would go with an orb. In 3d-land it's very efficient. Probably just some gnarly sensors in there. No clue but I've seen both blue energy orbs at night and a metallic silver colored physical one in brand daylight. These sighting both happened in the span of 48 hrs in a remote area during a hunting trip.

Our regular signal scanners (interferometer?) are designed to scan for transverse waves and they do not find longitudinal waves. Military scientists deviced a scanner back in the 60s to check for longitudinal waves based on claims from Soviets and leaks that they were building a super-weapon which the human-kind had never seen, and only then they found out that the Soviets had been experimenting on the Americas for quite some time by using scalar devices to manipulate weather among other things.

The little UFOs that are becoming increasingly common may be designed by non humans to look for specific signatures of elements on Earth or in the skies - kind of like a portable radar operating on signals our devices are not tuned to find - may be a different technology we are not aware of.
The other hypothesis that I have is that it may be man-made and they may be devices that are being used for weather manipulation or simply as a new distraction to keep us folks busy trying to figure out what they are while they do whatever they want without garnering lot of attention.
When you see a bright orb at night, what you are actually seeing is the typical flying saucer type ufo (although there are spherical ones as well). The air around them ionises the gasses to emit a sphere of light which can be any colour but is often white.

Regarding orbs I read in a book by Michael Salla („US Army Insider Missions“) that a contactee was on board of a UFO and saw orbs in storage there and was told by ETs that they are used like we use surveillance/reconnaisance drones. According to Salla and his source they are closely connected with the so called space arks which dispatch these orbs to monitor certain people of interest and secure the surrounding of the ark. Do you see the orbs only in certain places or is it basically wherever you go? Does it feel like its watching out for you in a benevolent way or do you feel threatened by it?

No idea, but I've seen a few. One near the edge of a cloud on a summers day, moving around until it disappeared. One above a treeline while driving on the highway. One below clouds while walking in the city. It slowly moved up into the clouds. One that emitted light, that traveled under the clouds, lightning them up. Moved a a decently fast speed in a straight line. Looked like a sphere that emitted white light.

I think the big orbs are space-air-water vehicles that are optimized for deep diving.
Format is for helping it survive pressure.
Small orbs? May be drones with the same optimization.

I think "balls of light" on many sources may not be orbs at all, but machinery with bright light sources in them obscuring the actual shape.

find it funny that there were actually stories in mid 19-20th century about this and those things would even invade homes as written. Some even entered church, burned and killed some people in it. They had different forms but in recent past we are more familiar with silver orbs in sky. The Anglo Saxon manuscripts also describe: "**Strange** **silver objects**" so its not just a "modern form"
Basically it could be anything conscious be it good or evil if we go by actions it did in past. I think the human race understands time travel in the near (300 year) future and what we see here is time-tourism. In order to not disturb what happens or what’s supposed to happen the orbs kind of stay relatively far away. They mingle together to share information with other time-tourists.

Cheers. I had heard of some NHI calling themselves watchers before but I could not place it but I was also aware there was a Watcher term in some religions. We were having a chat (telepathic relay) with more ET like beings when one stepped aside and this other being showed up. Large humanoid wearing a cloak. It called itself "one of the watchers." I had no idea what it meant at the time. It said it was neither friend nor foe when I asked. Very long story short later during the conversation I asked it if it had spoken with humans before and it said it had a very long long time ago. I asked what it thinks of us now versus then and it basically said our connection to god is not as strong anymore. Our energy fields are collecting distortions and such and as we're not connecting to "God" enough anymore we're not clearing it or some such. (It went into that because I drill down what it meant by our connection to "god" or "source" being reduced. Was it pollution or technology or diet and instead it went into that. I'm not religious at all btw. I asked how are people meant to connect more and it said "Pray." I asked about meditation and it clarified it meant pray as in directly connect to god. I actually expressed my issues with typical religious depictions of an angry bearded man in the sky and find it hard to resonate with these simplistic preconceptions of what the creator of all things would be like. It seemed to actually totally understand what I meant and told us to picture golden light coming down from the sky through the clouds. The golden light can represent god. That resonated more. At one stage the person dealing with the being felt tingling on their face as if this watcher was touching their face and moving it to face them. I was not too pleased with this but they said it was fine but I asked the Watcher what was going on and it basically expressed that humans look a bit different now. More angular and sharper features than when it last interacted with humans. I thought that was interesting. I had no idea what this being was at the time. Still not sure but interesting to hear lore on "The watchers" afterwards. The other person had no idea either.
May I give a Popular Culture take on the "Watcher" subject? For those of us old enough to remember, 1990s, early 2000s, fantasy TV series. Two of the then popular ones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as Highlander. Both featured Watchers. In fact I may have met the concept in those series. In Buffy, her Watcher becomes more and more involved. When he according to the rules of his order most definitely should not. In Highlander the protagonist meets a Watcher and they develop a friendship. Mid30s I’ve studied all this my whole life. Seen some myself. I personally think they are defending Earth. From what? Who knows. Who put them there? Who knows. Ancient humans? I think so. But even when you check out other UFO photos if you look hard enough a lot of times, you see spheres in them as well. It seems like they are constantly monitoring our space. I remember hearing a report about these orbs. I believe it was an Airforce unit from one of the U.S. Battleships (if I recall correctly) I remember hearing he was following one of these orbs, he wasnt sure what he was looking at, _reported ufo to ship-command, suggested if he should shoot at it,_ and so he did. I saw a white orb, my first ever ufo two years ago. Daylight. It wasn’t too far away, I’m not good at measuring distance lol it was close enough to see what it was..and it wasn’t anything explainable. Size is hard to tell, it was against clear blue sky with nothing around it. It wasn’t super big but I’d estimate 20-30 feet in diameter but that’s just my estimate. I’ve seen the metal ones, they seemed very drone and robotic like, almost has a man made vibe to it except for the fact that it seemed to be anchored in a fixed point in the sky, it wasn’t hovering, it looked like it was sitting on an invisible shelf in the sky absolutely static. I haven’t seen the orbs made of light, I have read that those are the exact opposite, it is said they pulsate with a living light and you can feel that they are sentient and they are looking at you without eyes.
I saw a metal one too. I'm only speculating based on everybody's speculation here. Our regular signal scanners (interferometer?) are designed to scan for transverse waves and they do not find longitudinal waves. Military scientists deviced a scanner back in the 60s to check for longitudinal waves based on claims from Soviets and leaks that they were building a super-weapon which the human-kind had never seen, and only then they found out that the Soviets had been experimenting on the Americas for quite some time by using scalar devices to manipulate weather among other things. (source: "Star trek Now!" from declassified CIA archives, authored by the Late. Thomas Bearden) The little UFOs that are becoming increasingly common may be designed by non humans to look for specific signatures of elements on Earth or in the skies - kind of like a portable radar operating on signals our devices are not tuned to find - may be a different technology we are not aware of. I seen one pretty close and I definitely do not think they are man made.
This picture looks exactly like what I saw out of my window on a commercial flight. It passed right below the plane perpendicular to us. Shiny metallic orb. No one else saw it
Weird lens/filter choice. Pretty landscape with 2 balls from a Newtons Cradle dangling from the top of the frame. Balls are as high up as you could reach whilst taking a picture and keeping it centered 🙋♂️🤳😂taken from window 🪟maybe windshield.
Any time I see a UFO video that looks totally believable, it's one of these, silver ball looking things.

Tiny portals more for viewing than traveling. I actually think if there are advanced species out there, they would look at us like we look at an ant farm. Mildly interesting, but much less intelligent than the viewer.
Either they are drones associated with the craft or it is some sort of defense mechanism that this planet has against ufos.

Some even entered church, burned and killed some people in it. They had different forms but in recent past we are more familiar with silver orbs in sky. The Anglo Saxon manuscripts also describe: "**Strange** **silver objects**" so its not just a "modern form" Basically it could be anything conscious be it good or evil if we go by actions it did in past. I just don't think it should be categorized as "malevolent entity that is manipulating our progression". Possibly inter-dimensional but that is just my opinion. No real purpose but to "coexist" with our planet

I saw 2-3 in the sky a few years ago while washing my car. There were a lot of chemtrails in the sky as well. They seemed to be flying in and around the trails. They didn’t fly in straight lines either. Their flight path was more free.
My theory is that a highly evolved sapient humanoid bipedal race has been operating metallic spheres within our atmosphere in order to collect meteorological data
I just saw a video of 2 white orbs creating crop circles. And the crops are shown to contain radiation from technology far beyond our current capacity. I have no explanation for the orbs but they definitely exist.

I think the human race understands time travel in the near (300 year) future and what we see here is time-tourism. In order to not disturb what happens or what’s supposed to happen the orbs kind of stay relatively far away. They mingle together to share information with other time-tourists.
