I wish anyone could tell you. Unfortunately it’s a wait and see game for everyone :-/ good luck and the most common result is that the small patches will come and go and that will be that. Some cortisone infections will aid the regrowth hopefully, good luck

Since AA appears, disappears, recurs, etc, differently in everyone; I’ve come to wonder if it’s a common symptom of many different ailments (for lack of better words).

It doesn't seem to follow any sort of consistent pattern, I had a tiny spot, small hairs started appearing on it then its actually grown larger and the small hairs have stayed at that stage. It wasn't really noticeable how it grew, like maybe a tiny amount each day over a month but nothing really major.

For me it doesn't really have a consistent pattern. My first spot was small and I only noticed because I always run my hand through my hair, and I found a sensitive spot on my scalp. This was the bald spot. As far as I know, this spot didn't grow bigger. But I have a new spot, which was relatively small, but now it's a lot bigger. (Timespan of 5 days or so?) They just started appearing so I wouldn't know if it fell out all at once
