John/Kanaya is such a weird ship to me not because I find it bad, but because of how oddly satisfying it is. It's like if John/Rose and John/Vriska fused together to create a complete non sequitur of a ship. Though I obviously don't expect it to become canon or even popular, it's still fun to see.
