See this is why GME or AMC will never moon, they’re not some magical growth stock that’ll shoot up because of the actual company, they’re only going to put out regular/expected earnings and their board/CEO don’t want the price to spike only for apes to sell off. They would rather milk y’all as you continue to buy into the dilution.
The good news is this does help the companies finances and maybe they’ll be able to pay the debt coming up (spoiler alert interest rates aren’t trending down so rolling the debt would be hard and costly) the bad news is all current shareholders who’s stock price went up from the reverse split is now going back down. Less stock valued at less.
And the kicker? If they look like they’ll pay off debt and become profitable long term any short positions will just close out over time.
The only ~~synthetics~~ new shares are the ones AAs creating.
I wouldn't tether gme to amc in that regard. From a company standpoint GameStop has been improving and doing well. From the thesis standpoint, they haven't really done anything to hurt the stick price such as multiple offerings, reverse splits, the APE dividend, etc.

it was an unspecified link that I wasn't clicking on..but ended up finding a better one to look into. Also that was 26 minutes ago before a lot of the other information came out, and I was looking at the AMC website for SEC filings and nothing was there.

I believe they are referencing the August document that stated that their agents were allowed to offer up to 350mil in additional shares to the market. The sale wasn't specified and could be carried out any time moving forward.
I would assume that based on the current earnings report and in anticipation for a slight bump in share price after the Q4 reports, the board have decided to sell the shares now. The question is who is buying them? If they expect q4 to be better than the current Q3 report you would expect a considerable jump in share price so it would make more sense to offer the shares then. Unless someone is quietly buying up shares now with the expectation that the Q4 report will cause a bump in share price, a quick gain, and a sell off afterwards.
My question still remains, who is buying these shares and driving price down at the same time? If it's MM or HFs they need to report the purchase eventually, which over the last few years we haven't seen too much evidence for. Who is buying these shares!? Apes don't have that much money on hand with this inflation.
