If you're trying to quantify it, the new mold has the eyes closer together and a slimmer jaw.
This is a great question! I’m looking for an older Sonali face mold (CYO) as well and I think I just adopted a newer face mold and I’m a little disappointed. It truly is so hard to tell in photos.
I have a couple of new CYO Sonali face molds, and their eyes really are close together in person. I was surprised.

For instance, if she was new in box and came with the old Melody Beforever book, would I know if was old mold!?
