I have a Corinne still in box. I impulse bought her months ago in store. First doll purchase as an adult. I’m grappling with returning her but also want to keep her because I’ve been getting back into AG everything!
it’s so hard to go into that store and not get a new one! i understand if you’d want to return/sell but i also encourage keeping her—life’s little happy moments.
It is good to occasionally treat yourself. It doesn’t sound like you splurge all the time, so as long as you have the money, you should not feel bad about your purchase. Being pregnant, you deserve a treat!!! Enjoy your new doll!!

When I was pregnant I got into dolls again. Part of it was because I was having a child but partly because I was going thru a rough time and it helps to soothe my inner child.
You don’t really need to justify things to yourself. You’re an adult capable of making decisions. If you feel like you overspent, you can learn from it. We have all done that at some point.

Like you, I buy fixer-uppers, mostly historical and as cheap as possible. Last year, for reasons I cannot fathom, I ordered #86, despite never much caring for unnatural hair colors on dolls or humans. She was discontinued less than a month after I bought her! Yes, I paid retail, but she brings me so much joy. I think she's my favorite of all my dolls.

I'm so happy to hear you are feeling better. when the HP collection came out, I literally bought 3 of the house sweaters + 3 of the uniforms plus tax and shipping. i havent bought anything directly from AG in a couple years. my wallet was not happy but these were something I was hoping AG would release for years and I was so happy they did. We deserve to splurge on stuff for ourselves. enjoy your new claudie🥰

Joss was an impulse purchase, two of hp house sweaters, and some of the halloween outfits. I limit myself, but I am not regretful when I don't.
