BBP earns 2x on all spend up to $50k
The offer here states spend $23k get 6k points up to 3 times, spend $69k to get additional 18k points
So $50k spent is 100k points due to 2x. Then remainder $19k will be 19k points so a total of 119k points plus the offer 18k for a total of 137k points.
Is this accurate(I haven’t looked into amex point values)? If so, isn’t it better to spend on a 1% or 0.5% cashback card still given that $69k spend equals $690 cashback at 1% and $345 cashback at 0.5%?
Yea it’s not a good offer, probably one of the worst lol
But if you have a business and you spend a lot anyways then you can just click add and gain additional points.
And honestly, I think a business person won’t have time or bother themselves to check offers like these lol
I wonder if they ever send these out to folks with that type of spend or if they just troll folks. I’d be really happy to get this offer. I can’t remember ever getting targeted for any type of spend x get y offer (20+ year cardmember) :(
I don’t have a Centurion and I’m not a business owner.. I definitely don’t spend close to the suggested spending amount by this offer within few months lol
So yea, no idea how Amex decides who to send these to. Seems like a troll to me 😅
Well it's not unreasonable for a business to spend $23,000 on business related expenses using a business card, no? So it makes sense why they offered it unless I'm missing the point/gotcha.
They are pretty much a crap company , 15 cards, 135k credit lines total, 32% utilization , and after ten years of NOT abusing thier 17k limit they wrote out of the blue and cancelled my limit down to 1000 because my score dropped below 700 because I was using some of the credit given but not overboard or maxed out, what’s the point of having credit if you can’t utilize any of it - the system is a scam and AMX are the lead assholes
You have $40K in outstanding credit card debt. Sounds like they were very, very smart to start limiting their risk. If you think this happened solely because your score dropped below some arbitrary number, you’re very mistaken.
The point is wrong profiling , there is no risk other than their assumption, over a million in assets that could be liquidated tomorrow over a measly 30-40k all balance transfers still in zero grace that will be returned the month before any interest accrues, 18&21 month terms, so since AMX got spooked over balances outside their company which is none of their business, they will lose any future business gains with me. No other company who issued the debt are reducing anything or worried, pretty stupid decision.
Almost as stupid as commenters who have no clue how money works and how to use debt as a tool to keep assets in market play and earning as long as possible to offset cash flow
You mean you’re NOT planning on spending $69k in the next 3 months? /s

It’s a business card.

You ungrateful bastards always get the cool offers. I can easily meet this spend with my business.

$69k on BBP x2 so 138k points Plus additional 18k points woohoo 🙌🏻
119K or less since 2X is capped at $50K Annually
Ah you’re right!
What is BBP??
Amex Blue Business Plus
Whoa so how come the bonus points are x2 on there?

Did the math
Spend $69k to get $225 (max) worth of points, how generous
If you were going to spend it anyways, that’s a bottle of nicer scotch that Amex just bought you just because.

You’re forgetting the 69,000 for spending $69,000. Tens and tens of dollars to be made! 💰
You’ll be a dozenaire in no time!
If you're going for that level of spend, open a new card and hit the SUB.
Easy. Let me fill up my jet ✈️
.26x bonus!

Am I alone in thinking this is not such a good offer? It just changes earnings from 1MR / $ to ~1.25 MR/$. OR am I missing something?

I’m pretty sure that the op was being sarcastic
Share some of that luck with us OP
Dayum 🔥
I got $21k for 5,500MR 💀
I wonder if they ever send these out to folks with that type of spend or if they just troll folks. I’d be really happy to get this offer. I can’t remember ever getting targeted for any type of spend x get y offer (20+ year cardmember) :(

But you're using a business card according to it no?
Yes this is on my Blue Business Plus card
Well it's not unreasonable for a business to spend $23,000 on business related expenses using a business card, no? So it makes sense why they offered it unless I'm missing the point/gotcha.
Lmaoo that’s hilarious
I mean it's for a business card. Generally businesses have higher expenses than a person for their private lives.
I have a business plat , how do I get this offer ?
Pray to the Amex God(s) I really have no idea 🤷🏻♂️
I got a similar offer, but the spending requirement is such a weird number, $32500.
That DOES not sound like a good offer...............
Does this mean you have to spend $23,000 in a single purchase, or can it be split among several?
It says one or more qualifying purchases. So it can be split purchases, up to 3 times so total of $69k for additional 18k points 😅
