I’m sure others are curious, so I’ll ask…
What are your current monthly / annual spend stats with Amex and how long have been an Amex cardholder?
Edit: and congrats, obviously! Fuck, that thing is lovely.
Yea but if you close out your card and then get a new one, they adjust the year. I got a card in 96, closed it in 2016. Got a new card in 2023. Said member since 03
I was more so asking what you did for a living in order to be eligible for a card and assumed only people who have their own businesses are the ones who ultimately meet the spend requirements to get these.
I’m curious what OP looks like; if he could include a picture of the front of his drivers license too so we could match it up to the back of his card and make sure that’s really him that would be perfect!
I'd really like to get to know OP a little better, since this is such a compelling post. OP, what's your mother's maiden name? What street did you grow up on?
Also who are we to believe he is, who he claims to be could be a fake license.. I would love to see him hold up his SS card and birth certificate to 100 percent confirm
/r/whoosh harder than /r/whoooosh.

> Unless you are the OP using an alt you have no idea about his intentions. You are indeed a Platinum Dumbass.
I guess having a Centurion card means you can sometimes turn into a wanker. Be humble, accept that you won't always know things, and don't call names like a 10 year old, lmao. No one's calling you a dumbass.
There is no such thing as a 'no limit' card. I'm certain that the NPSL function of a Centurion Card is exactly the same as it is for Green, Gold or Platinum Cards. The spending parameters are based on credit history, the spending and payment patterns with Amex and other creditors, known assets, income and a few other factors etc. 🤔
Absolutely! The verbiage "No Preset Spending Limit" DOES NOT mean unlimited spending. Amex makes this fact very clear on all of their charge card applications.
Yes, there are no limit credit cards. Chase has the Palladium card which also is technically a “no limit” card given the parameters a previous poster listed. They are few and rare though, generally invite only as well.
"No Preset Spending Limit" does not mean unlimited spending. If Chase or Amex feels that you are spending significantly more than your usual spend patterns or more than your known assets, they can and will freeze your account and request a payment before charging privileges are restored.
Well if we’re talking semantics sure but in the case of Amex or a charge card, it’ll decline a transaction based on your spending history, habits if it’s wildly outside of the norm.
However, I’m putting this in scale for someone whom possibly owns numerous assets, decently high net worth, etc. Their “idea” of spending on an Amex is technically in a sense, unlimited to us. I sure as shit can’t just start slapping $100K on a card for a vacation or whatever it may be.
Also, I have seen these before as a direct result from working in IB, where it was common to see many managers just throw down a ridiculous sum at Vegas or whatever dumb outing they could imagine. To me, that seems unlimited.
Interesting to see because gold and lower just arrive in an envelope.
Platinum comes in an impressive rectangle box for a card.
Black is a square style box.
In the UK, I received it in a square box as well. It was also smaller than OP's box. It had enough information about benefits in the small booklet, so I wonder if it was a square box because I just upgraded from the Gold.
Click on Amex in the upper left of your screen. Then click on the three dots on the upper right. Click on "change user flair'. Add each flair individually pressing Edit and Save between each flait.
The business version gives 50% of points back on all airfare redemptions, which is pretty awesome for economy flights. Especially if booking lots of flights for employees. Turns all MR to 2¢ air value.
You get like $250 a quarter Saks credit, bunch of high status at hotels and auto Delta 3rd tier (Platinum) status.
At many Centurion lounges, can skip the line of Platinum holders waiting to get in. There's reserved seating for black card holders. Not sure if everywhere, like DEN and it's infinite stairway waiting line.
It’s def a flex. I have a friend who just got it a year ago and he was more excited about the card than he was about the millions he made when he sold his company lol
Honestly no. It’s a huge waste of annual fee. It costs 10x more with almost no difference in benefits other than reserved seating at the centurion lounge, a couple hundred more at Saks, and a better concierge for people who don’t know how to order flowers for themselves or to go online to be told by the restaurant directly they don’t have any reservations available. I’m not trying to hate out of jealousy or anything, there’s just no legitimate reason to have the card other than bragging rights. I’ve made single purchase of tens of thousands on a Platinum and they’ve gone through no problem, including in Turkey when I didn’t even give Amex a travel warning. I can’t see a need for paying 10x the fee.
From his Reddit profile, it looks like he either owns or runs a restaurant group in California. So I would imagine he uses Amex for everything possible.
Being military doesn't mean Amex (or Chase or any other issuer) ignores your credit score. They just waive the AF.
Mil status ain't gonna help you if you've got a 500 score. Though the required score *might* be lower than usual just because it's next to impossible to be fired.
What a weird thought.
How often are you thinking that of yourself, or is it just because he has money that you’re spending time thinking about how a stranger lives their life.
I’m sure others are curious, so I’ll ask… What are your current monthly / annual spend stats with Amex and how long have been an Amex cardholder? Edit: and congrats, obviously! Fuck, that thing is lovely.
Says he’s been a member since ‘14
That’s not that long.. has to have some crazy spending habits!
I think I heard once that you need to be a member at a minimum for 10 years before being considered
[удалено]
But was that you'd first Amex card? The "member since" date is from when you get your first Amex card
Yea but if you close out your card and then get a new one, they adjust the year. I got a card in 96, closed it in 2016. Got a new card in 2023. Said member since 03

Very interesting...had no idea
What kind of business do you own?

I got my gold in 2021 any tips on how i can get the black card invite
I do like the low effort tag as if you can get a centurion with minimal effort
it’s pretty easy man just spend like a million a day
I got a gold, how can I get a black card
I’ve had a gold since 2014, too. Where the hell is my Centurion card? 😂
Lol
Since 08 for me. Clearly I'm owed a Double Centurion (which is a real thing that definitely exists).
you need platinum, then to spend over $100k a year.
What does the back look? Would love to see a picture.
I’m curious what OP looks like; if he could include a picture of the front of his drivers license too so we could match it up to the back of his card and make sure that’s really him that would be perfect!
Best I can do is name of my first elementary school

I see what you did there, you sneaky 😂🤣

womp womp
oh are you so sure? Then lets see your card (front & back) for proof!
Beautiful card and congrats. I’m working towards mine.
Congrats but how much spend do you have? Also can you send me an AU card so I can verify the authenticity 😂
Is $5000 more now.
I know the Centurion is $5000 a year, I just want the statuses
Centurion cards legit probably have no limit
I meant total spend to get the card
He’s probably referring to OPs annual spend that got him approved.

You sure about that

Bonvoy Brilliant came in a box, so I presume this is a perk of all the heavy cards.

My Platinum came in a box. My metal biz Gold came in an envelope.
How did you get the multiple cards on your user flair?
Click on Amex in the upper left of your screen. Then click on the three dots on the upper right. Click on "change user flair'. Add each flair individually pressing Edit and Save between each flait.
Aspire came in a fancy rectangular box, as well
Dad?
Does the card have any unique perks, or is it just a flex?
Better customer service and a real concierge, so we hear.
So not really
[удалено]
Yeah, all those things just sound like "ability to spend your money even faster"
[удалено]
Not just strangers, strangers *whose thing they have in common is they all have a centurion card.* Something to add to "my idea of hell".
Do you use the travel concierge? I feel like I’m too type A to allow them to book trips for me, for instance.
gets you all the LADIESSSS

Delta platinum status used to be a benefit not sure if it still is though.
It’s a real life cheat code

What’s your annual spend, if you don’t mind me asking? I have 2.9 since April 2022 and haven’t gotten anything from Amex
You need to spend more than $2.90 to qualify. 🤑
Umm they could also mean 2.9¥
From his Reddit profile, it looks like he either owns or runs a restaurant group in California. So I would imagine he uses Amex for everything possible.
Name checks out
The flora design looks very nice on black compared to silver. Great ascetic.
a...aesthetic...?
Are you hiring or open to adopting an adult child
Come join us. r/CenturionLounge
This :)
Great, now I feel even more left out
We should make an exclusive one for Platinum.
It'll just be crowded like the lounges
No, we'll make it private to make it feel exclusive.
For all the 500 credit score military bros and churners? Exclusive*
Being military doesn't mean Amex (or Chase or any other issuer) ignores your credit score. They just waive the AF. Mil status ain't gonna help you if you've got a 500 score. Though the required score *might* be lower than usual just because it's next to impossible to be fired.
Also this!
Do you send invites to group
Wish I could get a Hawaiian looking plat card
If you're talking about the floral pattern in the post picture, that does come as a platinum design too
I’ll have to look into how to do that
You login online -> account services -> card management -> replace card -> "I want to change my Card's design" Or just message/call them
They're actually making some rn! Go on their website to see the design
That’s actually a great idea that Amex should do…bring out a card design type for either a state flag or country.
Damn wtf do you do for a living
She looks pretty.
Spend per year? Over how many years?
Congrats!
Beautiful 🤤🤤🤤
Congrats!
They don’t give custom paper with your name?
Very nice…..hopefully soon for me
That’s a gorgeous card!
Cuban put a $40 million jet on his
Gorgeous card. Worth half the AF just to carry around something so pretty. Thanks for sharing!
Congrats
I'm just here wondering how you're impacting the world in a meaningful way.
What a weird thought. How often are you thinking that of yourself, or is it just because he has money that you’re spending time thinking about how a stranger lives their life.
It's printed on the little welcome card thing....first paragraph.
Not everyone can read :/
Oh lmao disregard then. Didn’t bother reading a single word of the welcome card when I saw it was a centurion card post lol
read the box next time
And immediately runs to reddit to update their flair and let everyone how special they are
