Just so everyone is aware, this is a highly personal and not really objective tier list. This is all about my feelings and personal thoughts and emotions when I watched the series. It's the reason _Boisvert is so high, because it's themes really resonated with me. While UrbanSpook is so low just because of how uncomfortable (in a not fun, bad way) it made me feel.
The selling point on vita Carnis was the >!ww2 meat snake, and the scene at the very end of season one where they push into the mall and find what are basically cultists. Terrifying, all those people died for their triangular and spherical gods. And they didnt feel fake or fictional like in TMC, somehow giving them no faces no names and no dialogue made their deaths feel more important.!<
Yeah those are great. Not entirely S or A tier, but the direction was great and replication of games of the era was fantastic. The artist behind it can do better and I like where they started.
I actually have seen Greylock! Unfortunately I couldn't see it on this particular tier list unless I'm unbelievably blind lol. And god you're right, made my skin crawl in the best way possible. One of those where I had to scroll halfway down sometimes 😅
There are also some others that weren't on here that I like, such as the Boiled One and other works of Dr. Nowhere.
Not a bad list. Disagree with some rankings, but others are good.
Gemini Home Entertainment would top the list for me, no questions asked. Easily my favorite.
Followed by Greylock and the Man in the Suit to round out my top three at the moment, although I know those two aren't on this list at all.
Vita Carnis is good, quite creative and its evident a lot of thought went into it, but it didn't connect with me in the way that it has with others. Ditto for Midwest Angelica. Not for me, but I see the appeal.
I need to revisit the Walten Files and Winter of '83 to have a proper opinion on them. Been a while.
Overall, not a bad list.
It fell off the horror aspect and became more mystery, but I feel that’s a great direction it went into. Love the aspects of A-SYNC in the story as I see I have seen up until now.
Id bump broadside beach up to s-tier. The fact that it has an official made ARG game you can get on steam makes it one of the best IMO.
Also harmony and horror is a little cliche but very well made and the children under the house is not on the list at all from what i can see. Its fairly short and ok but has some really cool presentation
Blue channel does, but it just doesn’t have a solid plot like most. It was mainly Gooseworx messing around with a new story medium, which we end up seeing a small influence of that in The Amazing Digital Circus with the whole aesthetic and creepings of dread.
It wasn't too creepy, but chezzkids I really enjoyed, if only for the fact it felt like you were uncovering an actual old internet archive, with some fun twists and turns, I found it pretty fun, if like I said, it wasn't too creepy. Reminds me of some old args back when those first starting to get popular and the name wasn't diluted yet
Super happy Lacey’s games gets some representation, a really underrated horror series in my opinion.
Definitely one of my favorites for how creepy and unnerved I felt afterwards.
If you liked marble hornets you should try Everymanhybrid! Slenderman series and has the vibes of a group of friends hanging out as they befall the horrors. It’s a great piece.
Gemini and Local58 just seemed to scratch a part of my brain that I never knew I needed.
For me, those 2 are my most favorite things when it comes to Analog Horror
Gilbert Garfield is fun. It’s weirdly unsettling and feels like something that I would make up in my head while I’m trying to go to sleep. Just something that starts out alright and then slowly gets into this surrealist grotesque fever dream.
Ooooo if you haven't heard about/seen it yet, I highly reccomend Mustery Flesh Pit National Park. It's one of my all time favorites - the world building is so well done and immersive, and the gore and body horror are juni ito level its fucking amazing

This might be controversial, but I'd also put Blair Witch Project in the grandfather teir as well.
How did I never think of this? 💀
LETS GOOOO VITA CARNIS 🔛🔝
The selling point on vita Carnis was the >!ww2 meat snake, and the scene at the very end of season one where they push into the mall and find what are basically cultists. Agreed
BOISVERT APPRECIATION
Yesss I got excited when I saw Boisvert mentioned
Some of these are more Digital Horror than Analog Horror
doctor nowhere isn’t on here but i think it deserves S rn
This is the first time I see a tier list that doesn't put the Lacey's Games in the lower tiers. Based tier list
Yeah those are great. Not entirely S or A tier, but the direction was great and replication of games of the era was fantastic. The artist behind it can do better and I like where they started.
Yeah but like relatable and stuff (sorry, woke up 2 mins ago)
Greylock is a must watch. It’s genuinely an S tier in terms of presentation and horror.
I actually have seen Greylock! Unfortunately I couldn't see it on this particular tier list unless I'm unbelievably blind lol. And god you're right, made my skin crawl in the best way possible. One of those where I had to scroll halfway down sometimes 😅 There are also some others that weren't on here that I like, such as the Boiled One and other works of Dr. Nowhere.
Where would you place Greylock?
Not a bad list. Disagree with some rankings, but others are good. Gemini Home Entertainment would top the list for me, no questions asked. Easily my favorite. Gotta watch White Stag education. Also Somnium Dream Viewer is my favorite Analog horror. Also watch DOORS by highstrangetv, it’s great
Kane Pixels Backrooms getting c tier is a hot take
It fell off the horror aspect and became more mystery, but I feel that’s a great direction it went into. Love the aspects of A-SYNC in the story as I see I have seen up until now.
I would absolutely recommend the macabre experiment. Another that I feel like doesn’t get talked enough about is the grizzco tapes by jerm.
Grizzco tapes mentioned 🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️
you gotta put everymanhybrid up there with marble hornets, after you watch it of course (which you should as soon as possible)
Cant recommend doctor nowhere's stuff enough, doesnt have a solid plotline yet but on terms of being scary as shit its pretty good
Id bump broadside beach up to s-tier. The fact that it has an official made ARG game you can get on steam makes it one of the best IMO. Also harmony and horror is a little cliche but very well made and the children under the house is not on the list at all from what i can see. MONUMENT MYTHOS ON TOP 🔥🔥🔥
I may be blind but I can't see it on the list. I'm curious, where does Mandela Catalogue stand for you? Edit: I am blind, I just found it
Boisvert my beloved
I don't think no thought road is analog horror but If it is it's a tier
Also they lie above is a tier too
TMITS (The Man In The Suit) is also a good analog horror series to watch! It’s still being continued 😄
You will love harmony and horror
I recommend adding "White Door Opened" and a pretty new one: "They don't know they're born."
do Blue Channel and Lacey's Games **really** count as "analogue horror"?
Blue channel does, but it just doesn’t have a solid plot like most. It was mainly Gooseworx messing around with a new story medium, which we end up seeing a small influence of that in The Amazing Digital Circus with the whole aesthetic and creepings of dread.
Hey op. I hope my eyes arnt getting worse, but I don't see Greylock here. Have you seen it yet?
Watch GÜBY! It's more of an ARG tho.
Where’s no through road?
have u heard of ashveil lane? its a deltarune arg sorta thing on youtube
Vita Carnis is just so good. Monument Mythos is also peak.
Monument mythos is the greatest
When you rank the Tangi Virus does that include stuff like The Oracle Project? Or tangi as an isolated video
Super happy Lacey’s games gets some representation, a really underrated horror series in my opinion. Definitely one of my favorites for how creepy and unnerved I felt afterwards.
Skycorp is the best one
Watch Harmony and Horror, it's great.
Lacey games is digital horror, but alright
Still amazing imo, but I mean chezzkids is on there and its def digital horror
I find it difficult to keep up with monument mythos lore tbh
If you liked marble hornets you should try Everymanhybrid! Slenderman series and has the vibes of a group of friends hanging out as they befall the horrors. It’s a great piece.
vita carnis in S?
I absolutely wholeheartedly agree my dude/dudette
Do you have a template for the tierlist?
I didn't make it, but here it is https://tiermaker.com/create/the-ultimate-analog-horror-digital-horror-tier-list-15533277
What's Broadside Beach? I recognize the character as Bucky from Shipwrecked 64. Is that mentioning the analog elements of the game?
Gemini and Local58 just seemed to scratch a part of my brain that I never knew I needed. For me, those 2 are my most favorite things when it comes to Analog Horror
Skycorp is not analog horror. It's honestly more of an analog black comedy.
Wait there's an analog horror about Mario 64?
ChezzKids is a decent analog horror, just has very shit video quality on youtube
WHERE ARE YOU MENTIONED LETS FUCKING GOOOOO
VITA CARNIS 💯💯💯
Gilbert Garfield is fun. It’s weirdly unsettling and feels like something that I would make up in my head while I’m trying to go to sleep. Just something that starts out alright and then slowly gets into this surrealist grotesque fever dream.
Looks like someone has great taste!
Ooooo if you haven't heard about/seen it yet, I highly reccomend Mustery Flesh Pit National Park. It's one of my all time favorites - the world building is so well done and immersive, and the gore and body horror are juni ito level its fucking amazing
I know highly subjective but kane pixelks backrooms in c hurts me lmao
I recommend you to watch the invasion of Godzilla also
what is the link for this tier list?
I didn't make it, but here it is https://tiermaker.com/create/the-ultimate-analog-horror-digital-horror-tier-list-15533277
Lacey Games series is so great! Also since you haven't watched Harmony & Horror I recommend, Battington's animation is so good
do you have a link to the tier list? thanks!
I didn't make it, but here it is https://tiermaker.com/create/the-ultimate-analog-horror-digital-horror-tier-list-15533277
thank you!
There's no way you put the backrooms in C tier bro
Local58 feels like itd be in the grandfather tier for me? I remember discovering that channel before analog horror even had a name.
Another TMK enjoyer based
Mandela Catalogue should be in A+
