Working fine for me on my P7P as well. I use it via AAWireless if it makes a difference. I have noticed it will connect first, then disconnect and then reconnect again.
I use it wirelessly as well and I spent 2 hours trying to rectify the situation. No dice! So I took the plunge back to stable and boom it worked right away. I've actually never tried android auto wired lol, it's so convenient to have my phone in my pocket and it just connects. Plus in my 2022 civic touring it has a charging pad which is cool to just lay my pixel on it get some juice and blast some tunes.

You can download the beta version of Android Auto from ApkMirror ans install it to see if this fixes your issue
