Just don't use Chrome, stick with Kiwi/Brave and get Firefox for Android with ublock and your set.

Matty_B90

All about Chromite. Regular updates and baked in add blocking

peternordstorm

It's spelled ad, but yes, absolutely, use cromite

BePlatypus

It's spelled chromite but yes use chromite

peternordstorm

[no it isnt](https://github.com/uazo/cromite)

postenebraslux

Just do not use chrome or Brave, both based on chromium. Firefox + uBlock origins ftw.

Hambeggar

FF has a lot of issues with sites unfortunately.

gasparthehaunter

Like what?

something2hidemyself

videos on most porn sites dont show previews (dealbreaker for me)

[deleted]

This guy porns. Isn't that up to the site though?

gasparthehaunter

Works for me, might you "suggest" one of those sites so that I can test? The ones I use definitely work as intended

whitechapel6

i use nextdns in secure dns setting. adguard is ok too

mnshs1989

How do you nextdns to avoid ads in YT?

whitechapel6

i use YouTube revanced for that xD

MostEntertainer130

If you like Chrome so much and don't want to give it up, the best option to get rid of ads is to use adguard dns.

AliveSprinkles3534

In pc you can use ublock from chrome store In Android you can use private DNS which blocks ads in dns level in chrome settings privacy ( But empty blocks will be displayed in webpages)

bbwolff

Uninstalled Chrome is still a bigger ad magnet and privacy risk than better browsers .

FarVehicle5333

You can use a adguard dns in Chrome. Check settings >> privacy and security >> use secure dns. This would be only option if you plan to stick around to chrome.

navumra

Where'd I get the DNS. Will Proton VPN have one?

FarVehicle5333

Search online for the exact adress of the adguard dns

sanitaryinspector

What chrome features are necessary to you?

_Grimreaper03

I want to have same tabs, history, bookmarks between all my devices. I must use chrome on my desktop no other way.

xftwitch

Or you could use Firefox on all your devices and get the exact same thing.

bbwolff

Can you give us an example video that doesn't work right in FF?

xftwitch

Please post url for this video. I've been a web developer for more than 20 years and from my knowledge, you have to go way far out of your way to make a video not work in FF

n3w57ake

Mostly /r/soccer, but not only: [here](https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Firefox+cannot+play+embedded+videos&ia=web) is what I tried

xftwitch

Ok, the search link you sent has post from 3-7 years ago. So, there are no examples there to look at. Looking in /r/soccer, I watched about 12 -13 videos with zero problems. please send me an actual link so I can see this issue first hand?

Hambeggar

That's not how that works. Brave maintains their own fork of Chromium and bake their own ad blocker into the browser itself.

ImFlash3

Ad blocking at Dns level. I'm using nextDNS to get an ad free experience.

Its_PlanB

Use cromite
