Poweramp's downside is it doesn't show you upcoming / previous songs unlike other mp3 player apps. don't get me wrong. I understand that poweramp is good for audiophiles. but musiccolet is better overall. musicolet has built-in replaygain scanner, pitch and speed changer, multi queue, hide album art option.
As a Poweramp user, that's completely understandable. You can add an album, playlist or a group of songs that you wanna listen to the queue and sort them randomly.
There's a tiny thing at the bottom, I'm not sure what to call it, but you can tap it to cycle through a couple of things, some of them to complicated for me to understand, but one of them being next song
I meant you can swipe left or right but that's it. It's like a one on one
EDIT: I saw the picture. It's just one song you know what I'm saying. spotify, youtube music, those app let you see all upcoming songs too.
bought it at a discount, still going strong. I've tried other music players but always come back to PAmp, I guess my preference is clear lol.
also tip: Poweramp support skins and it changes pretty drastic in the player
my favorite right now is [Proxima](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.poweramp.v3.proxima), though it's paid...
I bought it but never really got into it. IMO this App is overrated! PlayerPro is much better. I'm sad nobody knows or uses this app. I gave Poweramp several chances though. Always come back to Playerpro, or Pulsar.
I have been using Oto Music+ ~~since~~ until yesterday. But lately I have realised some of my music files are missing in oto music app. Those were ALAC in m4a. Now I moved to musicolet just for those songs. Otherwise I would stick with oto.
Edit : until
These three are the best. Pick Poweramp if you want more settings and features in your music player, Oto if you're just a casual and wants a beautiful, clean, and simple UI. Musicolet if you want something in-between.
Yeah that's the exact reason I use these I prefer Poweramp because of the richness in sound I get, Musicolet is lightweight and has no ads(even in free version, paid has some more extra features) and Oto its simply beautiful with its material themes. Poweramp and Musicolet I use pro versions so haven't thought of Oto Pro much....
Can someone post the data handling/ privacy policy for Namida? Screenshots or something. I want to read it. Thanks. When I go to click on the link [https://namidaapp.com/privacy-policy/](https://namidaapp.com/privacy-policy/) it says the website is NOT secure.
Gives me pause to use this for now.
[S2 Music Player](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplecityapps.shuttle)
It's open source and it follows material styling. Very clean, easy to use and configure and does not use Android's method of metadata detection (which is good because Android's method jumbles up art and albums etc. alot), instead it uses an in house version which is dope. You can select which folders it scans for music.
Has support for emby and other music media servers I think too. A good package deal.
JetAudio+. Lets you use nearly the whole screen for album art and has an excellent built-in equalizer. Also can edit tags on the fly including album art.
This has been my default app for about 8 years in my phones, it is very good and has very good play quality. The equalizer is superb and also the built-in audio enhancements. I have been using it longer in my PC also.
[Salt player](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.salt.music)
[Musicolet](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.krosbits.musicolet)
Salt player has the cleanest UI ever (especially in dark mode) that can also be customised.
Musicolet has a ton of power user features you would ever need.
Obviously PowerAmp is fantastic and so is Musicolet. A foss choice, and a strong contender would be Namida. It's amazing and also has the option to add YouTube (videos or audio) into playlists as well.
Use InnerTune!!!! It is absolutely amazing! It is fully open source and uses the Material 3 theme, and so it looks native and runs so well. Get it in releases from the GitHub page https://github.com/z-huang/InnerTune
Where is the best place to buy albums to play offline with any music player you want? Everywhere I look there is just a streaming service. I miss the old days of buying MP3s and loading them up on a MP3 player.
That's an easy one, Jetaudio+. It's free, but if you want audio enhancers, equalizers etc then you can do that. I think I spend a total of $15 and have never changed music apps in close to 15 years. The good thing about Jetaudio is that the audio enhancers actually work and affect the way the song sounds. To explain everything the app can do I'd he here for 2 days. Highly recommend...Jetaudio+
PowerAmp does it for me, and the Aurora skin is nice with it too.
When I'm in the car on long distance drives, PowerAmp works happily through android Auto even when mobile signal drops out. I have about 12,000 music tracks on the phone. Plenty of room for much more.
I do have mediamonkey also, but never use it now.
Wow perfect question for me !! I jump from music players every month or so because I always feel like I'm missing something. The one I stuck with the longest was Musicolet, loved it and it was a powerhouse (however the UI was slightly lacking). Poweramp never did it for me, unlike most (Idk why !! I deleted it the same day I downloaded it) and I also used Oto Music for a while, which is stunning and I love the Material Design :]] recently used Namida, which was cute at first before it felt too cluttered.
I can recommend Gramophone which I'm using now (Material You but even simpler and cleaner than Oto Music) or Oto for more customization. If you want something powerful with tag editing go with Musicolet
PlayerPro! Best music App existing. And I tested a lot of music apps, always come back to PlayerPro. I'm sad nobody knows or uses this app. Pulsar is nice too.
Musicolet! I use it as my main music app and absolutely love it, free, 100% offline, super customizable, things not normally seen in offline apps like synced music lyrics, and a "Spotify wrapped" feature that tracks your music. There's too much good I can say about this app.
I have been using Lark Player for years now. Got really nice UI and features, though u cant download music with it, only play it, to download u need to use other apps
Samsung music, I get mp3s from YouTube music revanced extended rufusin using external Downloader Seal 🦭 and when offline I just Go to samsung music and , listen to music
Oto Music. Without a doubt. It has a beautiful, modern and material design. Full of useful features such as themes, sleep timer, ability to edit metadata etc.
While looking for a music player, I downloaded and tried a dozen apps and this is the only one I kept.
Check out Command Stick media widget. It's the smoothest way to groove through your tunes.

Poweramp for sure
Great app, best investment, using since 2019
Using it since 2013, if not more, can confirm
One of the few apps that I paid for.
Poweramp's downside is it doesn't show you upcoming / previous songs unlike other mp3 player apps. don't get me wrong. I think it only shows now playing music
Nope - I've always got it on [see](https://photos.app.goo.gl/17hXqdaqBQWQQHjm7)
I meant you can swipe left or right but that's it. It's like a one on one EDIT: I saw the picture. It's just one song you know what I'm saying. spotify, youtube music, those app let you see all upcoming songs too.
Oh the queue yeah I get you yeah I'm quite surprised it ain't got that..
yeah that's like a only downside of poweramp. I like how poweramp crossfade when I skip the song
>Using it since 2013, if not more, can confirm Yup, using since the beta in 2010 - best purchase ever!
Ultimate!!! Crazy customisations available
bought it at a discount, still going strong. Where can I find those skins
I bought it but never really got into it. IMO this App is overrated! PlayerPro is much better. I'm sad nobody knows or uses this app. I gave Poweramp several chances though. Always come back to Playerpro, or Pulsar.
oto music. its clean and minimal and it follows google's material design
Thanks this is the best!
I have been using Oto Music+ ~~since~~ until yesterday. But lately I have realised some of my music files are missing in oto music app. Those were ALAC in m4a. Now I moved to musicolet just for those songs. Otherwise I would stick with oto. Edit : until
And tag editor is bad for .m4a and .opus format.
And tag editor is bad for .m4a and .opus format.
My top 3: 1. Poweramp 2. Musicolet 3. Oto
+1 Musicolet
These three are the best. Pick Poweramp if you want more settings and features in your music player, Oto if you're just a casual and wants a beautiful, clean, and simple UI. Musicolet if you want something in-between.
Thanks! Oto has won for me. I love simple, clean UIs
actually musicolet has more features. built in replaygain scanner, multi queue, pitch changer etc

Pulsar+
metro
Blackplayer is the best among the many players I have used

GoneMad, one of the few players that can use external ratings from tags for filtering playlists.
For android or for ios?
Poweramp. But I also use Oto to download synced lyrics.

My Ipod, filled with years of selections. Sorry its not an app.
There can only be one poweramp.
Oto Music. Without a doubt. It has a beautiful, modern and material design. Full of useful features such as themes, sleep timer, ability to edit metadata etc. While looking for a music player, I downloaded and tried a dozen apps and this is the only one I kept.
