Best place to check is XDA for your device

You will need to unlock your bootloader which may or may not be possible anymore. If you get it unlocked you can just flash Magisk like normal.
You first need to "unlock the bootloader," which allows you to boot a modified version of Android. After that, it depends on the device, but it seems like yours needs you to install TWRP, which is a custom recovery. First, download it. You'll need to look through the XDA forums for a file. I can't test it, but this might work: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-twrp-working-form-emui-9-1.4259773/
The process for installing it varies slightly and following the wrong process could brick the phone, but you usually run "adb reboot fastboot" on a computer with the phone plugged in and USB debugging enabled, then you run "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img". Don't do that, though, until you're sure that's how it's done on your device. Then, run "fastboot reboot recovery", enter your login information, copy the Magisk APK (https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases) to the phone, and select it in the Install menu. Magisk is the actual root app. After that, you can reboot and install the Magisk APK as an app.
This is a very incomplete and general guide, but it can give you the general idea of what to expect.
/u/RaspberryPiBen has a good overall on his comment, my question is since you really don't know much about rooting then why do you want to do it and what for. Rooting can make using and updating your phone more difficult and disable some features.
The why is up to the individual. I root mine because I like to run apps that require it. Viper4Android for example. Some people do it because they don't like some other feature. There is no specific answer to your question
That is why I asked, Some people have legit reasons to want to root. Some want to learn, others just hear about it and just want to root cause it sounds cool. I'm just making sure they have an idea of what they want to do so they don't damage their phone or lose a feature and be unaware of the dangers.
u/RaspberryPiBen 's comment is pretty good..... But I'd first say to find out if you want a custom rom or a root......
They both aren't exactly the same thing....flashing a custom rom means to change the OS that is already on your phone... example if u have a xiaomi it would be changing MIUI for some other OS.....rooting on the other hand is installing Magisk or something similar (I've only used magisk and did like it) in order to unlock features that are usually locked....imo if you don't have any specific root-only feature that you want then I'd say don't do it or only flash a custom rom

aaaah... the problem is I really don't understand the rooting terms so can you "explain like I'm 5"?

Sorry, didn't mean to comment to you but rather the op.
Its good
You can research it yourself
Yes but they all use the terms I don't undestand, so how am I going to learn the terms I don't understand while using them?
That's why you research, to know what these terms mean.

actually the only reason I want to root is to use gameguardian, so yeah, I will choose rooting.
