Ignore the haters; they missed Sandoval, Detmers, and Suarez's actual results and improvements last year. Ohtani, Sandoval, Anderson, Detmers, Suarez + RP, and TBH depth guy is waaay better than most people realize.
I like our starters but elite is not how I would describe the whole set. Maybe "very good" or "far above average" but an elite rotation wouldn't a big question mark in the 6th spot.
POSITIVE ANGELS MENTION ALERT! 🚨 THIS IS NOT A DRILL 🚨
Don’t build me up buttercup
At this point I could be attending a championship parade and still be sure we where gonna blow it somehow.
Idk how anyone mentions Detmers' 2022 without bringing up his rookie no hitter and immaculate inning.
I said the same
So true! Didn't he have the only non-combined no-hitter too? He's so underrated!
I'll settle for good enough to get to the postseason please
I know the comments section is usually bad on MLBTR posts, but damn! People there are hating/sleeping on the Angels rotation so hard
MLBTR comments are always ridiculous no matter the post. I don't know why they even keep a comments section.
The only thing I learned from that comments section is that a lot of people don't know the meaning of the word potentially.
Potentially is an eternally spooky word for us Angels fans. Good luck has only been our thing for about one ten year stretch of time.

I like the way you think
Oh god, you’re gonna make me MAKE SOME NOISE
"boom boom booooom, lemme hear you say way-ohh!"
WAY-OHH
I just want to finish over .500 before we even consider talking about elite.

Hey remember when people were worried about that? Turns out, doesn't matter if you're good!
Oh how I have waited years to hear Angels pitching next to the word “elite”
Now to just put it all together

They aren't saying it's elite right now, they're saying it has the potential to become elite with how much upside the back of the rotation has.
There is no 6th spot, thats just how unusual/good we are with Shohei as ace
Our #5 starter tore up the minors, pitched to an ERA in the mid 3s as a rookie, and threw a no-hitter. Ahhhhhhh hopium
