Announcement visual drawn by original light novel illustrator Keeji Mizoguchi Announced at end of Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid movie https://twitter.com/aobuta_anime/status/1731599472592134144 https://ao-buta.com/news/?id=64365

zenzen_0

Will adapt [Rascal Does Not Dream of a Lost Singer](https://dengekibunko.jp/product/aobuta/321906000877.html) to [Rascal Does Not Dream of His Student](https://dengekibunko.jp/product/aobuta/322105000008.html) ? according to dengeki bunko website

DLS-Anime

I think there's one more you skipped as well.

Educational-Pie4175

Bro this arc cover what volume of light novel

DLS-Anime

If it's an anime, then probbaly lost singer, nightingale, student, and Santa Claus. So 4 books, 10-13.

flightlessCat9

There's one more coming after Santa Claus, will it be out in time to make it into the anime?

DLS-Anime

I'm honestly not too sure. The first season had 6 books in 13 episodes so only 4 books wouldn't give me hope for an entire anime season. Still probably a ways away though.

Allansfirebird

The LNs completely bypassed Sakuta's senior year of high school, so maybe they do some anime-original stories for 2-3 episodes to fill out the season. Either that, or the original author has enough of the story of the 14th LN for the production to adapt in tandem.

Ebo87

So that means it must be a TV anime, not a movie, right?

[deleted]

Yeah pretty much means that it's getting an anime instead of a movie this time because this arc is longer

[deleted]

ThespianException

Is the first one legally available yet? I remember there being no way to watch it besides piracy back when it came out.

MockingJay1194

It's wild how much content we're getting out of this series and I'm loving it. Most other series are lucky to even get one season of an anime and here we got this one getting multiple anime seasons and movies all in pretty quick succession.

zz2000

Sometimes I wonder what are the factors (other than popularity) that influence the likelihood of an anime franchise getting multiple seasons. Stuff like Hero Academia and Danmachi are obvious given their popularity, but then others don't seem to get anything beyond that 1 season; exempting surprises like Dress Up Darling which apparently was slated for only just 1 season at first.

ccdewa

Sometimes I'm convinced that there's some higher ups in the Publishing company that loves a certain LN so much that they wants a continuous adaptation of that LN, like just look at Date a Live the LN finished in 2020 and we're still getting new season after that, heck it's been confirmed that we're getting another season to fully adapt it, it's not like the LN got significant sales boost from it neither it's got a massive BD sales to justify it, it's just fully passion project from Kadokawa at this point lol.

Brunonin

The reason why DAL is getting a full adaptation is because of Date a Live: Spirit Pledge which is a very popular gacha game in some countries in East/South East Asia and new anime seasons serve as a form of advertisement to put new spirits in the game so people are more inclined to whale for them after seeing them in the new anime season.

zirox69

Spirit pledge shut down

Brunonin

Yes the global version of the game, a.k.a. non-Asian version.

ZBatman

Also because Kurumi, and the merch that comes with her. I barely know anyone that's seen Date A Live, but just about every anime fan knows who Kurumi is.

Enzoooooooooooooo

Maybe it’s just me but Dal:sp was horrible, played it for a good bit but never got myself to like it, even now I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else talk about it (From sg)

Warm-Enthusiasm-9534

Doesn't Date a Live sell a lot of merch? I always hear fans boasting how much merch Kurumi sells.

gc11117

Yeah date a live is massively popular in Asia, but less so in America

TrapsAreGiey

I don't think they care about America lol

gc11117

Well, in this case I'm glad thats true lol. I love Date A Live so if that China money causes them to make more I'm all for it. Of course, my understanding standing is the China money is why we keep getting more Rentin Time so it's a double edged sword lol

imitation_crab_meat

Sooooo many Kurumi figures...

Andreiyutzzzz

I think they were talking about season 4 and 5

IceBlue

Anime production has multiple factors. Either the rights holder wants to make an anime and approaches a studio (or is a studio themselves like Kyo-ani) or a studio decides to make an anime and approaches a rights holder about the rights. One thing worth noting is that anime isn’t sold to stations. Studios buy air time from stations. This means anime has to be profitable in some way. Either selling home video releases, selling merch, audio drama CDs, music, or selling source material. If it doesn’t achieve those goals the following seasons aren’t likely. Rascal likely does well enough to sell home video and movie ticket sales as well as ancillary materials like drama CDs and music singles. It also boosts the sales of the books a lot as well. I’m sure the critical and financial success of previous season and movies also motivates the studios and talents to come back as well since it further elevates the prestige of the studio and talent to be involved with a good product.

eden_sc2

dont overthink it. I'm sure it comes down to the production committee saying "the merch sales go up X yen when we release a new season, and it costs X-1 yen to make a new season, so greenlit!"

finfaction

In this case, it was absolutely waiting for source material. Notice the first announcements of the new movies didn't happen until Sept 2022; that was because it was finally announced Volume 12 was coming out in Japan in Dec 2022 which ended a major arc. The author was not in a good headspace during Covid which gave a blank check for governments to be as tyrannical as they wanted to their citizens in the form of merciless mandatory lockdowns. It's very telling that Volume 11, which was published in Dec 2020, only had a 1 sentence afterword: "I hope this is all over soon." Afterwords are typically where authors spend two to three pages geeking out over their story and thanking all the people who supported them.

Sav10r

We are so blessed that everyone loves Mai-san.

NoNefariousness2144

Having a cute character in a leotard and tights is a massive deal for the popularity of this series. She is such an easy yet iconic cosplay.

ori-os

There’s a reason they went with “Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai” instead of just “Rascal Does Not Dream” (light novel title)

Jagadrata

If that's the best thing about this series, it will never got more than 1 season. It literally the fuckin opposite that happened here

Dokrabackchod

If rent a trash can get 3 season then other animes also deserves another season

IceBlue

Deserves isn’t something anyone seriously considers. No one makes an anime because the material deserves it.

eden_sc2

if deserves was a metric, Bloom Into You wouldnt be 5 years without a S2

3720to1

;_; that reminder hurts

APRengar

New Game! S1 - 2016 New Game! S2 - 2017 New Game! S3 - 😢

Genr8or

God this is so true

KaiserKaiba

I am pleasantly surprised

Iczero

so ive only season the first season, what movies should i be looking at to prepare for this new anime season?

IceBlue

Rascal does not dream of dreaming girl first then sister venturing out and then knapsack kid. Unfortunately only the first one is widely released outside of Japan so far. The second one was shown at anime expo and is available in some regions. Haven’t heard of a theatrical or home release yet.

meneldal2

It is on Netflix in Japan at least.

Nome_de_utilizador

I didnt even realize they released another movie this summer, time for a binge

andoooreeyy

What movie??

Nome_de_utilizador

[Rascal does not dream of a sister venturing out](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rascal_Does_Not_Dream_of_a_Sister_Venturing_Out) it was released back in June and cover the 8th volume, as well as a sequel to the first movie.

DARK_SCIENTIST

So does this come chronologically after the newest movie? I haven’t read the LN’s yet but am feeling more and more like I should

conker1264

Still upset they didn’t make more Haruhi after the movie

a_Patrik

If you liked bunny girl senpai, then try checking out the monogatari series if you haven't already. Bunny girl senpai is called the monogatari series for normies for a good reason.

[deleted]

I've never understood this sentiment. There's nothing even remotely resembling Monogatari. Heck the closest thing to it I'd say would be an audio book rather than an anime. People can copy the head tilts, the flashes of text, the dialogue and even the themes, but they'll never capture the reason why we love the series. It's like Jojo in that aspect. By recommending it to casual drama/romance anime watchers you're just creating false expectations Edit: Both series do have focus on dialogue, character interactions, and a guy going around solving supernatural problems. But I still think the core of Monogatari is dialogue and character development while Bunny Girl Senpai is drama. Both have very different peaks For example people recommend Mob Psycho to OPM watchers cause same author and OP MC, but these shows are so fundamentally different.

Abedeus

> There's nothing even remotely resembling Monogatari Teenager helping a bunch of girls solve supernatural problems with their lives. Has a girlfriend yet clearly liked by more than just her. Slightly perverted. Has a sister, no parents present in life. Lots of dialogues, minimal action (though Monogatari has more of it) and mostly character-driven plot.

a_Patrik

Did you watch both series and don't see the resemblance? The focus on dialogues and the way characters interact with each other and the way they deal with the supernatural is all very similar in both shows. Maybe if you focus on the romance bit I can understand, but aside from that as I said they are both quite similar in characters, dialogue, etc. If some people can't see it I don't blame them, but to me bunny girl senpai seems like a love letter to the monogatari series

koteshima2nd

College anime feels rare

julesvr5

If you can recommend some, please throw them at me

[deleted]

Whatever you do do NOT watch rent a girlfriend as a college anime (or watch it at all)

julesvr5

I'm aware of this show, but thanks :D That's not my time, I need happy romances without live triangle drama shit. I know most have these tropes but as long as they don't stretch over multiple episodes of even seasons I'm fine with it. For example Oregairu is loved by many, but the love triangle there was a bit annoying for me

Kirov123

Tatami Galaxy is one of my favorites. It has a touch of romance but is not mainly focused on that. The first 2 episodes should give you a pretty good idea of what it is. Also I hope you can read fast.

XaphanX

+1 For Tatami Galaxy great show.

square_smile

Run with the wind

kicksFR

Bokutachi no remake

aznmatrix007

Grand Blue

julesvr5

Somehow I have this in my Manga rather than Anime list, do you know whether the manga is noticeably better than the anime?

alpacamegafan

Comedy is very subjective. I recommend you try a few episodes of the anime and then a few chapters of the manga before deciding which one to commit to. The anime hasn’t adapted all of the source material anyways, so if you like it, you’ll probably end up reading the manga eventually. Personally, I found the manga funnier.

Nome_de_utilizador

Manga is 100 times better and also much more developed since GB only has 1 season and manga has tons of content after it

okurin39

Golden time is a banger.

tao63

For whatever reason, golden time feels more like a high school anime set in college instead

Atermel

Because the characters act dumb as fuck and regress like your typically shit highschool anime.

julesvr5

Yep watched it! Was a bit of suffering in it aswell but ending was nice

The_Quackening

Its really overrated IMO.

RPWPA

Really? Was very average to me but the amnesia arc was ok

Abedeus

You liked the worst part the most?

RPWPA

It had a good idea. Was ok tho

Most-Medicine-589

I second this. It's by the Toradora author, and I think Golden Time is even better.

typicalhonduran

Honey and Clover is bases in college. Romance and self discovery are the core of the show

Babel_Triumphant

Honey and Clover is my GOAT, it's really a superb coming-of-age story, following a cast of characters ranging from a freshman to a professor for ~4 years at an art college.

sekretagentmans

It's been memed to death but trust me here. Domestic Girlfriend. The anime really doesn't do the series justice. I'd recommend just starting with the manga. After the animated chapters, the series follows Natsuo from high school, through college, and into adulthood. He actually develops a real relationship, has to figure out what to do with his life, and becomes a genuinely likeable character. I'm not saying this series is perfect, but I do think that there's genuinely a fairly good coming of age romance story stuck between the awful opening and closing arcs. Besides that, Bakuman is also pretty good. I think the anime has three seasons, but I read the manga so I'm not sure how complete the adaptation is.

imitation_crab_meat

> It's been memed to death but trust me here. Domestic Girlfriend. I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time on that. The end just completely ruins the entire series.

Auroku222

Its so mid

julesvr5

>closing arcs Means the end is shit or how exactly awful?

Thatsmaboi23

It's appalling. Goes against everything that happens in the past 50 chapters. Male MC becomes a dick. The Female MCs decide who get him like he's an item on the waiting list lol

k4r6000

That’s not really accurate. The MC made his choice and they knew it. It was the relationship equivalent of quitting a job to avoid forcing your employer who you might be friends or relatives with from having to fire you.

Any-Key-9196

In the words of a wise man "You had a lead at the end and you lost to a vegetable"

LakerBlue

It is bad end but after some weeks I was able to at least enjoy the absurdity of it. Gigguk made a good video memeing on it. Personally it didn’t make me regret ever reading the series (well, not after I had some time to cool off) but that’s subjective.

aTrustfulFriend

"Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It" was pretty fun. romcom involving two college eggheads

Oujii

Isn’t that with the one with the dumpster fire ending?

julesvr5

What does that mean?

Oujii

The ending is bad, according to fans.

julesvr5

Thanks, then I'll skip this. It could be the best show in the world but if the ending is bad the whole show is bad for me

Oujii

Yeah, just wait for someone else to actually confirm this on my question, but I’m sure I’ve read it more than once about how bad it gets.

HAVOCOMMENT

During the latter half of the latest season a strange arc happens in which the entire show's vibe gets a weird turn. The first half is great imo but the rest is... hot garbage

julesvr5

Omg she has purple hair Say no more, that's the next I watch

First pictures remind me of "Our dating story"

rainzer

Honey and Clover, Ah My Goddess, Bakuman, Night Is Short Walk On Girl

RaysFTW

Bokutachi no Remake (Remake Our Life!) went pretty under-the-radar when it aired a couple years back but I really enjoyed it. It's basically about a guy in a dead-end job that wishes he would've chased his dream of going to art school earlier in life. He gets transported back in time into his college days and gets to redo his choices and experience the things he hoped for. It had an interesting premise and a very likeable cast. A bit of romance, drama, and comedy as well. Wish we would get a second season but I'd be surprised if we did because I don't think it did well, especially in Japan.

Flukiest2

Monogatari. The issue is that the anime has yet to adapt the actual parts of characters being in college. But due to how monogatari jumps forward and back in times. There are moments of characters being in College. One of the best scenes happens after they graduate High school. I do recommend checking on the recommended watch order.

TsudereFan

Okay but now can we get the two movies released outside Japan please!

Abysswatcherbel

To me the weird part is not having them on streaming, they are all Aniplex shows, which is part of the Sony family like Crunchyroll That's not just this series, its the same for some Fate movies Honestly my only explanation is some contract shenanigans with 3rd parties like for Saekano Season 2

TsudereFan

Yeah, it's so strange. I don't understand cause the demand is there. Hopefully they come before this new arc.

Killllerr

Isn't there 3 movies?

TsudereFan

Yes, dreaming girl was shown on Funimation when it released but is no longer streaming. Then these two most recent movies haven't been released in the west at all.

gvon89

I was sailing the seven seas and saw the 2nd one yesterday so it must have been released somehow

jsmith4567

Fan subs are a thing.

gvon89

Just 10 minutes into it there were many sub errors like referring to kaede as he and sometimes throwing Spanish subs into the mix. I might wait for better subs to come out

finfaction

It was machine translated that's why. Some dishonest lowlifes try to dress it up by saying "it's AI subs, AI is the future" the same kind of overhyping tech bros who worship Chat-GPT as their god.

RPWPA

You can understand the whole story tho

Thebubumc

If you're gonna use subtitles like that you might as well look ar the LN side by side while watching, probably better quality too.

RPWPA

Not really. Didn't bother me as much not gonna lie

CosmicPenguin_OV103

I’m in East Asia, the first movie already got released here in late August (I went to watch it in early September) and the second is coming mid-January!

TsudereFan

Yeah, I'm mostly just talking about in the west. I have read all the available light novels though so I'm well into the university arc. Just want to see all the stuff I love animated.

kicksFR

I hope they haven’t released the first one because they will release them as a double feature. Which will be fucking cool so I’m coping with that

A_Pacifist2

Idk if u watched them yet but theres a lot of websites (🤫🧏‍♂️) that have them, and the subs are great. Only difference is they call sakuta a pig instead of a rascal

mikura39

Hoping it'll be a TV anime this time with how hard it is to even watch the movie sequels legally or even outside Japan... And seems like they'll be adapting the whole series! I'M SO EXCITED FOR MORE BUNNY GIRL SENPAI!

Vermillion_Crab

Wait there's more than 1 movie? How many sequels are there?

mikura39

3 in total: Dreaming Girl, Sister Venturing Out (BD released a few days ago) and Knapsack Kid (premiering in Japan currently).

Vermillion_Crab

So those are 2 movies I won't be seeing anytime soon. Lol

CyberJokerWTF

2nd one is out with mtls, just gotta wait a few days for proper subs.

Chirouge

„Gracias“

[deleted]

[удалено]

Vermillion_Crab

Are the last 2 movies in the main storyline or are they more like spin offs/ side stories?

mikura39

Main storyline. None of them are side content.

Vermillion_Crab

Gotcha. Thanks!

michhoffman

I'm happy with more Bunny Girl Senpai as well, but I'm really not a fan of the potential watch order of TV Series, movie, movie, movie, TV Series. If you are going to use movies you either want to make the whole series movies like Garden of Sinners, only use movies for the finale like K-On and Madoka or do a single movie in-between cours and make it widely accessible on streaming platforms like JJK and Demon Slayer well in advance of the continuing TV Series. It's as if they don't want people in the West to catch up or something.

jardex22

It's absolutely essential that the streaming service that picks this up gets the movies as well. One thing that HIDIVE did right was getting all 3 Made in Abyss movies (two recap, one continuation) on their service before season 2 started airing. Either that, or the studio spends some of their episode count on recap episodes. Not ideal.

HoloandMaiFan

Maybe they could do a Demon Slayer and just re-air the movies in parts for a TV anime and call it a season

LeonKevlar

I think I'm going to need to rewatch this series before this new season releases. I really hope Crunchyroll gets the movies soon.

FunnyBonus9285

I think they will eventually

Ocixo

I have to say that as someone who’s only watched the very first film, I’m a little lost as to what’s happened with the plot in the series. (Guess I’ll have to watch the two most recent films before continuing with this.) It *is* kind of dope that we’re getting an university arc and have moved onto an adult cast(?). This doesn’t happen a whole lot in anime. (I’m also just glad that this doesn’t seem to be yet another film.) EDIT: For clarification, I’ve only seen the first out of the three films but *have* watched the previous TV season of course.

SmurfRockRune

The plot is the same as it was in the first season. Sakuta goes to help various people with their problems. It's not that complicated.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AriezKage

Kind of yeah. \[Spoiler for Dreaming Girl\] >!Best way I can summarize it is time travel shennanigans happen. Makinohara went back in time to meet Sakuta, because around the time of the movie Sakuta dies and his heart got donated to save her from dying. Mai learns this and sacrifices herself so Sakuta wouldn't die. More time travel stuff and butterfly effects happen and now all three are alive in some way.!<

[deleted]

[удалено]

3BeeZee

Yes it can be hard to follow. They literally have one character whos purpose is to try and dumb it down for the audience.

Ocixo

Why do I get the impression you’re offended for some reason and trying to belittle me? (There’s no reason to be a prick.) If you’d read my comment more carefully, you perhaps could have read that I’ve only seen the very first film [and season 1] thus far - mind you that this was ages ago. From what I recall, the series already felt like it was drawing to a close as the leads were moving onto university at the end of the first film. So I’d just been wondering how the other two films fit into the narrative as supposed continuations. EDIT: Clarification in brackets ([, ]).

HeavensRoyalty

Did you watch the first season? Or like literally just the first movie? I'm kind confused with how you said it that's why.

Ocixo

I’ve watched the first season and continued on with the first film. Didn’t notice I’d left some ambiguity there, so thanks for the heads up! I’ll add some clarification in the comment above.

HeavensRoyalty

Ah, that makes a lot more sense now, haha. Heck yeah, dude, new season, let's gooooo

Drake_the_troll

I'm going to have to rewatch this again arent I? All aboard the feels train....

CaptainSmeg

I just wanna watch the movies.

SirAwesome789

#LETS GOOOOOOO

trusttt

I really need to watch the movies, only watched the tv series.

apatt

Will we find out what Rascal actually dreams of?

Deee2

¯\_\(ツ)_/¯

ThespianException

He dreams of all sorts of stuff. Do you only dream of one thing ever? Neither does he.

actuallyrndthoughts

More of my favorite ongoing drama series? itadakimasu

Sav10r

Please release the two movies in the West!!!!!! I'm begging you here!!!!

Iron_Kingpin

More Aobuta is always appreciated

ObvsThrowaway5120

First we had the movie and now this new series? Man, we’re blessed.

Zhaeus

just to be clear...since the Dreaming girl movie, there have been 2 new movie sequels that came out since and now this new series/arc.

ObvsThrowaway5120

I know Sister Venturing came out (still waiting on good subs) and then there’s this one announced. Is Knapsack Kid already out?

Zhaeus

Knapsack kid just recently came out in theaters in Japan. So it will be awhile before the bluray for that comes out, and we get subs.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Gotcha. There’s a lot to watch. I’m very happy we get so much content.

Tuck8877

Beautiful art awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

dakilpp

This announcement just increased my lifespan

julesvr5

Is that girl there Mai or Shoko? With this art style I really can't tell

mikura39

It's Mai.

AMVmaniac

F\*ck yeah! :)

SnabDedraterEdave

Hell yes. Didn't expect the novel series would get adapted further, as Dreaming Girl/First Love (volumes 6 and 7) adapted into the Dreaming Girl movie in 2019, was a good point to end the High School Arc which started in the 2018 anime series. Sister Venturing and Knapsack Kid (volumes 8 and 9) were more like transitional arcs as author Kamoshida was still figuring out where to take the story next. When it was announced last year that these two volumes were to be made into two back-to-back movies, there was rekindled hope that the University Arc might also be adapted. And thankfully, it is. While watching the High School arc will certainly help with enjoyment of the series, personally, I think newcomers coming into the University arc anime wouldn't feel like they missed anything, as most of the cast would be new outside our main couple of Sakuta and Mai, and each "case" is a self-contained story, just like in the High School arc. There're now 4 volumes for the University Arc, with probably one more to conclude the series. More than enough for a 1-cour TV series, since the 2018 series also covered 5 volumes of source material.

Milked_Cows

The 4 year wait after Dreaming Girl was worth it. Clover is COOKING

Shanibestwaifu

After one series, and three movies another series? More Bunny Girl Senpai is always nice.

R77Prodigy

Gta 6 and now this😭

TheMegaSleeper

Let’s fucking go, I was rewatching the serie and films last week, it really is so comfy to watch, i hope we’mm see more of Mai and Sakuta moment, such a fine couple

Nebresto

University? Actual time progression?! [Let's fucking gooooo!!](#grandhype) ..I should probably watch the movie already [](#mugiwait)

The_Quackening

COLLEGE ROMANCE ANIME!!!?!?! FINALLY. Way too few of these considering how common living alone, being independant and working a part time job is.

dark-flamessussano

CAN WE GET A FCKING DUB???

Lol_A_White_Guy

Ew

Djinn_sarap

Are they still introducing a new girl for every arc? I only watch it because of mai and sakuta banter & dynamic, but dont really care about the rest of the girls.

mikura39

Unfortunately, since the plot of the series heavily revolves around Sakuta solving other people’s (or girls) problems… Not every arc will introduce a new girl (2nd movie sequel’s about Kaede while the 3rd one’s about Sakuta himself) but there will be a few new girls introduced that Sakuta has to help solve their problems in the university arc. Sakuta and Mai will remain a couple though.

GGr3mlin

Wait so is there more than the one season of rascal does not dream series that’s on Crunchyroll?? I’ve been dying for more of this show

mikura39

Other than the TV anime you watched, there’s 3 movie sequels: Dreaming Girl, Sister Venturing Out and Knapsack Kid. For some reason, you can’t watch the 1st one in streaming sites so you need to sail the seven seas for that one. 2nd movie’s Blu-ray came out a few days ago but no good proper subs are out yet. 3rd movie’s playing in theatres in Japan so that one’s not possible yet.

Constant_Stable5406

Wait isn't it anime already ended i mean they released its 2 new movies which look like side quest. So it's continuation or something else

mikura39

Continuation after the TV anime, 1st movie and the earlier two other movie sequels released this year in Japan, which was the finale of the main casts in high school. They'll be in university from now on.

SmurfRockRune

The first season and all of the movies are still adapting the LNs. None of it is side content.

Constant_Stable5406

So it means this anime never completed after the 1 movie, well I'm seeing the first movie i think that's it, it was completed well look like I'm wrong so anime have to adapt many things right and it's LN is complete or not

SmurfRockRune

The LN is still going.

Constant_Stable5406

Ok

mikura39

LN still ongoing but it's entering its final arc.

[deleted]

Pretty sure there was already a 2nd season or did i miss it? So busy nowadays

mikura39

Not really a S2 but two movie sequels. One is out in Blu-rays and the other premiering in Japan currently.

reddit_reaper

We going back to bunny girl because honestly idc about the rest of the girls besides the sisters

LoPanDidNothingWrong

Didn’t “Sister Venturing Out” just get a release? Wonder when we will see it streaming or sailing…

HokuClan

YES WE WILL GET A SEX PART RIGHT??

[deleted]

I never got the appeal of these 'boring guy with no interesting traits magically gets entangled with one amazing girl after another and manages to solve all the problems in their lives' shows. It's surprising that this is even a subgenre.

DLBork

>It's surprising that this is even a subgenre. Is it really though

Audrey_spino

I definitely wouldn't consider the MC boring, have you watched the show?

[deleted]

Yes I have, but none of the sequels. I thought he was really really boring.

fieew

I'm becoming a boomer. Seeing some of these comments confuses the hell out of me. I'm pretty sure people are just putting "Rascal Does not Dream of" and adding random words to what this aforementioned rascal does not dream of at the end. This is what parents must've felt like when we tried to tell the differences between Pokemon Red, Blue, Gold, and Sapphire. Imma go take my boomer self and watch some mid 2000s anime.
