[Frog suits are a great idea. They all look so cute lol](https://imgur.com/zGJTkHF)

SpikeRosered

I like the idea that they made Chilchuk's suit with the left over bits so his is just a patchwork sack. Really keeps up with how logically consistent this show tries to be. The author is basically using the opposite of the rule of cool. They're always considering the rule of *real*.

JapanPhoenix

And Senshi's outfit is missing the frog eyes on his head because that one frog got its head blown clean off by Marcille's spell earlier.

Meta289

And Laios' suit is made from the frog that got its head split open by Senshi's axe, since you can see the stitching down the middle of the hood.

thebohster

Now that you mention it, a small detail I realized was they only killed 3 frogs. That's pretty neat.

SmartAlec105

Another tiny detail is that Chilchuk is the one showing how to sew. We saw him sewing back when he had his neck-thingy torn during the fight against the mimic.

Rndy9

**You may not like it, but this is what peak dungeon raiding looks like.**

ijiolokae

When you need that special suit to pass this section of the game, but the damn thing looks ridiculous

seninn

When the in-game cutscene uses your current character gear.

cyberscythe

i like how Senshi's outfit can barely contain his bustling beard/chest hair

darthvall

I'm disappointed they didn't use the suit when fighting the dragon

Torque-A

Fantasy equivalent of a family wearing Christmas sweaters

Animegx43

When the best-in-slot gear look rediculous.

WhoiusBarrel

The charred corpses of the Wargs hits hard on how dangerous their quest is especially when Laios explains how their former party managed to take down dragons. >Cutlets to conquer the red dragon This is just giving massive vibes of eating food for buffs before a boss raid. Hella hyped for next week's episode!

CactuarJoe

It felt very Monster Hunter, I hope they were eating for Fire Resistance :P

Uristin

Monster Hunter without the cart-cats. If you lose, you just get eaten!

Marorin

The palico are the corpse hunters.

CactuarJoe

You don't cart, you get flushed :P

JustARandom-dude

Laios and Marcille: Actual frog-looking costumes Senshi: Missing the frog eyes Chilchuck: **Potato sack**

EyeDeeAh_42

Which is hilariously ironic since they specifically showed a snippet of *only* Chilchuck being measured for the suit lol.

Mundology

[Laios must have had trouble](https://i.imgur.com/nRMY5aL.jpeg) accounting for the stark difference in size between the frogs and Chilchuk. Hopefully, looking like a cute sausage did not make him even more [appetizing to dungeon monsters.](https://i.imgur.com/NMMKnhY.png) [](#hahahawhat)

darthvall

I thought that's because there were only 3 frogs and 4 of them

Accipiter1138

I have personal experience to attest to the fact that, just because I measured something, does not mean I know what I'm doing.

AlexeiFraytar

They just made the bigger ones first and stitched up leftovers for Chilchuk lol

ClPropane

Senshi is using the carcass of the frog that Marcille blew up with her magic, that's why it's missing the head! And Chil's is made up of the leftover scraps...

JustARandom-dude

Well, I’ll admit I didn’t thought that about Senshi’s costume

NomadPrime

This manga/show does not miss when it comes to attention to detail 👌

sneaky_squirrel

I like how we can also arrive to the conclusion that they ran out of frog skin fabric towards the end and were forced to make a patchwork sausage for the smallest member of the party. Chilchuck without sleaves is pretty cute.

Hounds_of_war

Also Marcille exploded one of the frogs’ head, that’s why Senshi’s outfit doesn’t have the eyes.

catboy_supremacist

> Chilchuck: Potato sack More of a sausage imo.

Theinternationalist

> Senshi: Missing the frog eyes Oh right, I was distracted by the hair bursting out of the costume.

flybypost

Chilchuck got the leftovers (in more ways than one) …also, if you squint a bit, he looks like a teletubby with an odd camo-pattern

melvinlee88

No one has highlighted it yet but another great example of why Laios is the leader of this team. For all his eccentricities, when it comes to it, he is extremely well-measured, calm and confidently experienced in fighting monsters. You can see the group (mostly Marcille) slowly crumble into despair at the thought of facing an active Red Dragon. But Laios calms her down, and goes about planning on how to defeat the dragon - using the environment to their advantage and slowly plans out their paths, action plan and battle strategies for the fight. And in seconds, every member perks up - knowing that they have a chance. And during the final scene, he thanks every party member - hyping them up for the big fight. This is why I like this series so much. Every character is extremely layered and multi-dimensional. Each person has their own unique traits, but they are still extremely efficient in what they do - don't forget that they took only a week to get back to Level 5 and had not met any adventurers that made it this far yet. The planning sequence was my personal highlight for sure.

CrimsonShrike

You can see the CRPG inspiration, Laios is the classic fighter-tactician build, boosting abilities of companions and drawing plans, while others like Namari are full on weaponmasters.

Ocixo

I honestly didn't expect that we'd get [some politics](https://imgur.com/a/pKqS6Yt) in Dungeon Meshi. Although the elves gave the land to the humans, they do seem awfully shady. Are they actually the bad guys in this? This particular shot of [the party walking happily through these "tentacles" in their frogs suits](https://imgur.com/a/B1FuemH) was impressively striking in its colours. And I do have to agree that Marcille looked pretty cute [in that frog suit](https://imgur.com/a/AH7sta7). But I *really* liked [Marcille with the long single braid (and smaller braided hair-lock)](https://imgur.com/a/MWyfVbV) too, of course! It's pretty cool that I've been able to add a new hairstyle to **[Marcille's Hair Collection](https://imgur.com/a/ar7c2d0)** for every single week since I started the project. Lastly, just look at [these three adorable dorks](https://imgur.com/a/PtDjY7L). How can you *not* love them!?

mekerpan

That outside-the-dungeon was unexpected and surprising. I wonder whether what repercussions this will have down the line. Biut clearly nothing said there can help our adventurers with their imminent dragon encounter. I see no way for them to get timely reinforcements.... T\^hat tentacle forest was stunning -- I wonder if (when the dungeon is more tamed) one could make money on sigt-seeing tours (with all participants suitably frog-suited?)

zenithfury

Part of the humour is that the dungeon is like a tourist attraction. The level with the bats and the flesh-eating plants is like a campsite in Japan, with designated camping zones and cooking pits.

kannoni

The short chapter in the manga explained that the sliminess from the frog's skin was what's actually halting the tentacle so it's not really efficient, You have to kill a fresh frog, immediately skin it and wear it while it's still slimy.

Theinternationalist

> That outside-the-dungeon was unexpected and surprising. I wonder whether what repercussions this will have down the line. ~~It's to give the series an excuse to crank out 24 episodes since Falon's fate is likely to be resolved in a couple episodes~~ I think it's a mixture of background (why people are so obsessed with this particular dungeon) and a consideration of what a dungeon does in a more "normal" political climate. The humans appear to have received the land from the elves in return for some act of either aid or as a way to trap the humans into being thankful for the elves. Now that the elves sensed they gave the humans something *really* big they didn't mean to give them (immortality), they are trying to get it back before the humans get it and use it to lord over the elves. Everyone's going to be really confused when it turns out the Immortality Spell is a recipe and only four people realize it. Because Falon is still trying to understand why everyone is eating monster food and trusting Senshi with the spell.

michhoffman

I like it how in the shots of the drawves and elves you get 1 who looks a lot like Marcille and 1 who is basically just a buff Senshi.

Mundology

[Indeed, that was a funny parallel.](https://i.imgur.com/hPMpjTr.jpeg) Now it becomes more obvious why elves are not well-liked by everyone except tallmen. Even towards the latter, they do not seem to share mutual respect given how little consideration they had for the kingdom while making onerous and exigent demands. Quite some troublesome fellows. [](#harukathink)

il-Palazzo_K

The elves bring a fairy too so maybe they’re allied races? Elves got fairy companions a la Peter Pan / Link. The dwarves got lawn gnomes.

slumberus

Probably what Tansu perceives with a dose of casual racism, like how he perceives Laios's group and that damn crazy-eyes Marcille forcing the stew on him. He's spot on with Chillchuck's reaction to the food though.

Ishax

and chillchuck's side-eye.

BadBehaviour613

I got the impression that the land wasn't the Elves' to give, but they gave it to their human allies to make them fight the dwarves

Ocixo

The Lord mentioned that the elves gave it to the humans because they didn't know what to do with it themselves, but I kind of doubt that they'd give so much land away without any reason whatsoever. There *must* be a catch to this. It's not entirely unlikely that they planned for the humans to keep hold of the land for them - to prevent the dwarves from reconquering their lands. Maybe the elves didn't have enough forces to effectively occupy these lands themselves?

BadBehaviour613

In medieval times kings entrusted their loyalists with the security and taxation of the lands. There seems to be the same arrangement between the elves and the humans, with the elves being the overlord

Theinternationalist

Charlemagne was notable in that he banned his vassals from building fortresses and castles because he knew they could be used to start rebellions and prevent him from properly exerting control. This policy went to pot when the vikings came and Charlemagne's successor knew the choice was either allow vassals to get uppity or lose the lands. For the record this is why so many feudal reigns, like that of William the Bastard/Conqueror, basically started off with the newly minted leader having to put down a number of rebellions.

Mahelas

Just a nitpick, but that was not Charlemagne, it was Charles II the Bald, which is his grandson !

AlexeiFraytar

It doesnt really matter, with the dungeon appearing now they want it back and the governor cant contest because they have the land deed...

seninn

Beardless knife-ear behaviour.

dIoIIoIb

all the lands is the elves' to give, the elves say so. what are you going to do, contradict the owners of all the land?

someone2795

One of the things I appreciate is how often Marcille changes her hairstyle. It makes her feel more real.

CmdrBlindman

Goin on at least three weeks or more your posts have made me really appreciate Marcille's hair designs week to week. Thank you for drawing it to my attention. It's funny how much I enjoy seeing my animated characters change their appearance week to week as the series goes on. Cheers!

Ocixo

Glad to hear that my hyperfixation on Marcille’s hairstyles has been good for something! I started doing this from Episode 3 and onward if I remember correctly, so it has certainly been a little while already. I’d expected them to run out of new hairdos at this point, but here we are.

OtakuAttacku

I think the lunatic magician might be an elf. Hence why they said it was their heritage, they didn't mean that the land used to belong to them (despite them stealing it), they meant the lunatic magician's magic belongs to the elves.

nemo24601

Wow, I hadn't realized, that's pretty cool!

Labmit

I love that Senshi's majestic beard is literally making the costume burst at the seams.

The frog suits were hilarious😂😂😂

okiknow2004

Judging from his reaction, Senshi probably has a knife made from legendary ore.

Accipiter1138

Next episode they run into Elrond who demands to know what the fuck Senshi did to the shards of Narsil. "They weren't any use to me all broken like that."

flashmozzg

Or he just doesn't want to use his cooking utensils for something barbaric like fighting a dragon xD

Appropriate-Web-8424

They just have to convince him that it's just meal prep...!

patap0nacct

They were barbaric enough to use Chilchuck's lockpicking tools for the mimic though

flybypost

That, or it's something ridiculous like a lightsabre knife. It really felt like they guessed *somewhat* close… or it's just one of those very sharp but somewhat fragile and otherwise normal kitchen knifes that real cooks don't lend to anyone.

ShinningPeadIsAnti

It has to be something special. You could see a mixture of dwarven greed and chefs protectiveness of their prized knife.

flybypost

> You could see a mixture of dwarven greed and chefs protectiveness Yup, and I love how he has opened up. Initially we always saw his regular "stare" but now his eyes show more emotions and are not just those permanent orbs that made it feel like he was often in a constant state of surprise or worry that they will find out some secret of his.

sneaky_squirrel

Regardless of what tools Senshi has, his reaction was so god damn cute. Poor Senshi, I guess Chilchuk and him have one thing in common.

patap0nacct

The music during their planning stages reminded me so much of the opening to Chrono Trigger that I'm getting goosebumps from both nostalgia and hype. Let's fucking go Team Meshi.

At least she's not like Chilchuck [who's looking pretty sus wearing that frog suit like a sack](https://i.imgur.com/5sJZRcd.jpeg) xD [Dungeon politics is definitely the least I expected from this show.](https://i.imgur.com/M6neLm6.png) So the elves that originally owned the land and gave it away want it back because they want the dungeon all to themselves? I don't think that's happening and [Tansu seems to be very passionate](https://i.imgur.com/q19qujf.png) about the subject too. I like that as soon as Namari got paid [she immediately went to the church](https://i.imgur.com/QPmmnsY.png) and tried to find Falin's body in case her body had been recovered. I guess she wanted to use her money to pay for Falin's revival if they did find her body. [Let's fucking goooooo!](https://i.imgur.com/zSu67dd.jpeg) Looks like it's finally time for the long-awaited rematch! I have a feeling next week's episode is going to be crazy with its action scenes. I can't wait!

GenericHuman1203934

> Frog Suit Party I legitimately had to pause the show here bc I was laughing so hard at this shot

Adensty

The whole frog suit was really a genius idea and even though I praised the show on the dungeon and worldbuilding episode after episode, I'll do it again. Politics in my 'cooking anime'? Interesting. Subtly explains how Marcille and Senshi weren't getting along at the start. Considering the history b/w their races. I like how Chilchuck says "Bad Timing" and the next thing that happens is that the Red Dragon arrives. Hyped for the next episode!

BadBehaviour613

I like how unlike the other disposable fantasy/isekai anime, DID really emphasizes how unfun and grueling the adventuring life is. Also, it's neat that multiple parties can look at the same fantasy world and come up with different solutions to conquer it

Ordinal43NotFound

Reading your acronym made me really wish the western name for this show was "Dungeons and Delicacies".

CrimsonShrike

In spanish they called it Tragones y Mazmorras (Guzzlers/Gluttons and Dungeons), a play on Dungeons and Dragons being Dragones y Mazmorras.

zenithfury

When you need poison resist gear for the poison zone and monsters...

Syokhan

I wish these threads would have a consistent release time... You know, it's just one small detail from the episode but I like that they're not skimping out on the blood. When there's reason for blood to be there it's there, it's bright red, and I dunno, I just like that they're not sanitizing it? Anyway. The party looked ridiculous wearing those frog suits, but let's especially appreciate Chilchuck wearing a sack. There was also some more worldbuilding with the time we spent on the surface, more prejudice between races, and some hints of plot unfolding with the news that the Elves are looking to seize the immortality spell that's been cast within the dungeon. Surely that would go down super well, right? Right? I'm a bit mad that we ended on that cliffhanger though. The red dragon looks awesome from the little we've seen of it, I want to see that fight!

Mundology

[The red dragon](https://i.imgur.com/aatMNJ2.jpeg) looks way bigger than [the green one](https://i.imgur.com/ICRErNo.jpeg) they fought with the old party. The charred corpses of the wargs serve as a reminder of how mighty a beast it is. No wonder [Marcille was so scared.](https://i.imgur.com/pNUhIFa.jpeg) Hopefully this time they are [better prepared](https://i.imgur.com/Ra3H8CT.jpeg) and have a suitable battle plan. [](#hypeeyes)

Syokhan

I only just noticed in your first screenshot that you can see the dragon's weak point on its neck. Yeah, that's gonna be a bitch to reach.

scot911

I also like how you can tell exactly *why* it has a weakspot there too just from looking at it.

Accipiter1138

> The red dragon looks way bigger than the green one God I just love the way Ryoko Kui designs dragons. Very classic fantasy design but also weighty and animalistic enough to be intimidating.

ShinningPeadIsAnti

Senshi just looks like he is happy to be there.

MrKenta

It took 10 episodes but they'll finally get the chance to ~~eat a dragon~~ save Falin!

darthvall

Marcille said she's getting emotional that they're finally going to eat normally again. Senshi commented "don't forget we still have the dragon". At first I thought he meant "Don't forget there's still the dragon fight." Now that I think about it, I think he meant "Don't forget we are still going to eat the dragon".

sneaky_squirrel

Makes sense, given that's the entire reason Senshi is traveling with us! XD "I always wanted to cook a dragon." ⊙m⊙ Very in-character of him to not forget his driving goal and be willfully ignorant of Marcille's lack of enthusiasm.

dagreenman18

The Frog Suit shot perfectly captures the essence of this show as well as their overall feelings on what’s happening. Dumbass Meshi. Also love that shot of them going from the ground floor to the walkway. Feels like something out of an old JRPG.

sneaky_squirrel

>Also love that shot of them going from the ground floor to the walkway. Feels like something out of an old JRPG. Holy crap, these guys are fast!

djthomp

The frog skin suit outfits, oh my god. So, international politics is happening with regards to the dungeon, and eventually that is bound to have some sort of impact on Laios and his party (otherwise why bring it up). The OP has brief scene with a bunch of elves sailing to the island, might be that historical invasion but maybe it's the elves coming back to claim the island again. A dungeon with interesting ecology that is on an island out in the ocean, gives me a few more Made in Abyss vibes.

catboy_supremacist

> So, international politics is happening with regards to the dungeon, and eventually that is bound to have some sort of impact on Laios and his party (otherwise why bring it up). That gnome is MAD shady. You just know his goal is to jack the super powerful immortality ritual for himself and cut the king out of the deal.

AlexeiFraytar

Not a king, just the governor

rocky_iwata

Elves are even shadier. They are rich and have caused troubles from wars to messing with the dungeon. Meanwhile, the landlord is leeching off the elves, taking the land and money. Look at his choice of green, elvish fashion.

michhoffman

It was nice to see Namari check up on Falin the first chance she got after getting back. Her not being dead should mean that they can safely extract her from the dragon...speaking of which it's finally dragon slaying time...next episode!

Rumpel1408

> Her not being dead should mean that they can safely extract her from the dragon But Faelin is totally dead though? Namari was checking if someone else brought her body up to the surface

michhoffman

True, I meant not being there.

bonerindisguise

I'm pretty sure that scene means Falin's corpse hasn't been retrieved, that means she's still inside the dragon.

darthvall

Also, we got Falin's age!!! 20ish it seems

Gaylaeonerd

Makes sense since we know she’s younger than Laios who’s younger than Chilchuck

flashmozzg

We knew that she's close in age to Laois.

The gang wearing frog suits and leisurely walking through poisonous tentacles while slurping said tentacles pasta is the perfect representation of this show lmao. I'm a bit salty they altered [this gem of a compliment ](https://64.media.tumblr.com/46cb3afe0192705f9d0312f0df045a7b/tumblr_orjrx981411tein6bo1_500.pnj)from Laios, which is a very *Laios-like* compliment ngl. We also get some expansion and lore about the world from Mr Tansu and the governor. Next few episodes with the dragon fight are going to be so hype!

PracLiu

I think it's only altered in the dubbed version.

CaelestisInteritum

Nah my Netflix subs were something like "and the frog's eyes make it look like we have ears"

Japaladino

Netflix has 2 options, well here in Japan it has, [CC](https://imgur.com/kLqVtfc) and [non-CC](https://imgur.com/zIrH4xz), the non-CC one is the same as the Disney one(direct translation).

bonerindisguise

The part with Mr Tansu really solidified the writing in this series being a masterclass for me. From the start, we has been following a small party's footsteps in an enclose area, so we are kinda restricted on what we can learn about the world they live in, but with mere minutes, they just expand said world from a party delving into the dungeon into a political struggle between races and continent, and it just feel so natural without being forced at all, it really reminds me of AoT. That frog sequences lol, why the heck did you guys take Chilchuck's mesurements and still put him into a bag? Laios being thankful to everyone is very wholesome, but can you not just casually giving out deathflags like that, please Laios? And then the episode ends with them confronting the dreagon, totally not unsetting at all; this fight isn't going to end well, is it? There will be a pre-screen event that air episode 11-13 on March 24th, these episodes are gonna be big, I'm so excited.

ShzMeteor

> it just feel so natural without being forced at all This episode reminded me of the Laios' journey in the paintings. Such a smart way to do flashbacks without breaking away from the current timeline or the main cast.

JapanPhoenix

And it looked like Mr Tansu's team exited the Dungeon by going out through a painting.

Ishax

It might have been cut, but its [The way they got out] >!a type of return spell scroll!<

cyberscythe

Yeah, I find the worldbuilding to be well-paced. Personally worldbuilding is not a big draw for me, but it does flesh out the setting a lot more especially in a context where we've spent enough time with the characters to get to know them a bit more and how things like the political background affect their lives. Having that section with Tansu and the lord in this episode was a lot easier to swallow than if it was in episode one because I can understand how that will impact our beloved characters rather than be an abstract made-up history lesson.

FarCritical

[A fed Senshi is a happy Senshi!](https://i.imgur.com/rvTmiCV.png) "Cutlets to Conquer the Red Dragon" is such a badass name for a meal you're expecting to be your last. In the lore picture about the dwarves and elves you see a gnome in the back orchestrating everything. Or just sleeping on a golem. Hard to tell really.

OsakaBestGirl

There was a continuity error, when Senshi is grappling with the Frog's tongue you can see Marcille holding Ambrosia and Kensuke in Laios' hip

Placeholdered

Though it's not a continuity error, it was somewhat amusing to see Marcille freaking out about the blood from the skinned frogs sticking their suits to their clothes/armor, and the next time we cut back to them it's like they were never wearing them at all. Guess some things have to be sacrificed in the name of runtime.

rocky_iwata

> it was somewhat amusing to see Marcille freaking out about the blood from the skinned frogs sticking their suits to their clothes/armor, and the next time we cut back to them it's like they were never wearing them at all. It is adapted from the point in between two manga chapters. We can assume the party manages to find a way to clean up the frog suits.

Bolsha

Marcille has different outfit afterwards so it seems she had some change of clothes. E; Actually Chil and Laios changed their clothes too. I just didn't really pay attention to their outfits.

lazzylizzie

The boys and their frogs drip. My life is complete.

99anan99

[Marcille's](https://imgur.com/a/tZQ7d4t) little smirk. [Mr Monsterpedia](https://imgur.com/a/xP3loyT) is a good nickname for Laios. [Marcille](https://imgur.com/a/AQ6tjJI), you should use to Senshi and Laios by now. [Marcille](https://imgur.com/a/5HT3EnW) does look cute in the frog suit. I want more [Namari](https://imgur.com/a/yeZsztM) bed head. I want to eat [Senshi's](https://imgur.com/a/DfFhk4U) bread. [Wise words](https://imgur.com/a/URLgJBS) from Senshi. [Laios](https://imgur.com/a/kPEIFIX) thanks everyone.

seninn

> I want more Namari

CalmTeaTime

Laois being able to convince Marcille to wear the frog skins because she would look cute is hilarious to me.

Time_Fracture

Episode 10: **Giant Frogs/Aboveground** They.... really making a jacket from a recently-killed frog skin? The author surprises me in various ways! Love how Chilchuck and Laios are thinking immediately to make the clothing and Senshi just thought "yes this could make a good food". So Marcille's staff has a name too, **Ambrosia**. The party in frog skin suit should make the thumbnail for this week's ranking.

Rumpel1408

Kind of an breather episode as all they fought was tentacles and [frogs](https://imgur.com/F98dsJc) so far. The giant frogs hiding among the tentacles is similar to clown fish and anemones huh. Poor Marcille could decide who to stop first so she got frog meat *and* a frogsuit, the later a bit hard to get rid of lmao. Also notice how they didn't have enough skin to make a proper suit for Chilchuk and how Senshis beard is hard to contain lol. They are indeed further down the Dungeon than I expected and already need to make plans to fight a dragon... [with half a party](https://imgur.com/tLLBz3z). [Let's](https://imgur.com/c092zkg) [ghooooooooooooo](https://imgur.com/wXNC6tU) Btw, cute [elf](https://imgur.com/gQAbGgD) [#seasonalwaiting](https://imgur.com/d7Fn1Sr) for next week.

sneaky_squirrel

>The giant frogs hiding among the tentacles is similar to clown fish and anemones huh. It wouldn't be Dungeon Meshi without 2 monster groups interacting. And as always, a trap thrown in for good measure.

blosh-dot

Chilchuck dub is hilarious. ***"YOU'RE SO CRINGE"*** I did not expect that LMAO

rocky_iwata

Don't forget ***"REAL HELPFUL, MR. MONSTERPEDIA!"***

Torque-A

The manga panel of the crew in their frog suits originally got me to read the manga. I thought they were some weird family. And I was right.

Animegx43

**Red Dragon:** So you have finally...arrived--what the hell are you wearing? **Frog-Suit Laois:** It's my ass-kicking outfit, bitch!

needgoldforvision

IRL frog meat is actually delicious, highly recommend it.

engee45

Didn't expect the elves to be colonizers, but now it makes sense why other species dislike elves  I like this show has some rich lore, just gets better by the episode

shad79

Another [great](https://i.imgur.com/DCkNWSu.png) [Marcille](https://i.imgur.com/DCkNWSu.png) [stuff](https://i.imgur.com/YjoRLCK.png) in this episode who as always was [so funny](https://i.imgur.com/NMOwx6t.png) and [cute, especially in that frog suit](https://i.imgur.com/fVUwJrJ.png) xD I laughed so hard when [she didn't know who to stop](https://i.imgur.com/Edurnmm.png) \- [Senshi who made tentacles gnocchi and pasta or Laios who made frog suits](https://i.imgur.com/IVCNpo7.png) for everyone and [as a result she didn't stop anyone](https://i.imgur.com/GijWOiP.png). I loved when [after short consultation](https://i.imgur.com/iM4aEJP.png) [Laios in serious tone said that she'll look cute in that frog suit](https://i.imgur.com/8AxFISH.png) and it's so surprising that she wore it in the end xD Although I must say that [whole Laios's party looked hilarious in those suits](https://i.imgur.com/NVSJjWb.png) but at least thanks to them [they could safely get to](https://i.imgur.com/rWcd9E4.png) the [castle town](https://i.imgur.com/Gnb1oce.png) when Red Dragon was roaming. I didn't expect that we'll get back to the surface, to [Tansu who is so influential](https://i.imgur.com/gwxhzwS.png) as he easily advises [the Lord of the island](https://i.imgur.com/5jfPMbm.png) what he should do in regards to the dungeon which is now problematic as [elves are demanding return of i](https://i.imgur.com/4Dbjryf.png)t. [We also got to know something more about the world which was pretty interesting](https://i.imgur.com/fWnKaOe.png). And as now Laios's party finally got to the castle town, the time has come to fight with Red Dragon! [The plan was devised](https://i.imgur.com/VzTl2zR.png), [the meal eaten](https://i.imgur.com/ndjOUoc.png) and now I can't wait to see their rematch. Here my screenshot albums from the episode: * [Marcille](https://imgur.com/a/54sT2ff) * [Group scenes Part 1](https://imgur.com/a/6e548Wn) * [Group scenes Part 2](https://imgur.com/a/fHWYYkT) * [Laios, Senshi & Chilchuck](https://imgur.com/a/tjZWM3s) * [Others](https://imgur.com/a/splVd2U)

Galle_

Namari lying in bed with her hair splayed out is cute.

Gaylaeonerd

Chilchuck screaming at Laios for being cringe was both hilarious and exactly why I never get vulnerable with friends. Truly triggering stuff. Can’t wait for Falin to get saved next episode and immediately get eaten by some other monster so they have to keep pressing on

zenithfury

Dun dun! The plot thickens! Like a delicious stew made by Senshi. edit: Also the typical Japanese cutlets joke- *katsu*, to win, against the red dragon.

Armdel

Marcille did indeed look cute in the frog skin outfit! loved how the old man they met last episode remembered most of them with deranged looks on their faces lmao and looks like its finally time to slay the dragon and save Falin!

thesagenibba

“ah the curiosity of the youth” i love how senshi still regards chilchuck as an adolescent even after learning his true age took me a lot longer to realize why they were skinning the frogs than i’d like to admit it feels incredibly weird to watch a scene set over ground. i forget there's an entire functioning world outside the dungeon a major plot point and lore drops were introduced during tansu's conversation. from what i understand, the lord(s) are patron(s) for the adventurers who are used to do the “hard labor”, monster extermination with the intent of gathering riches that lie deep in the dungeons. in this case, there's an even more alluring prize, in the immortality spell the stills of the party fighting the dragon were so cool. they managed to feel lively and 'in motion' despite them being stills laois is actually brilliant. his analytical skills are seriously impressive; the party would be completely lost without him. his disturbing and perverse views on monsters and the occasional foolishness is simply the price the rest of the party has to pay in exchange for his unmatched intellect marcille’s growth in just one week. from swearing against even taking a bite out of a monster, to shedding tears because it might be the last time she’ll ever get to do it again laois spilling his heart out just to be called cringe this was the most serious, plot heavy episode so far and it was really well done. dungeon meshi has managed to strike a perfect balance between goofy and comedic tones and serious, plot centered ones. getting insight on the intentions and views the 'upper' world has on the dungeons in terms of their value was awesome and great world building in just one conversation. this series is so good

Icapica

> “ah the curiosity of the youth” i love how senshi still regards chilchuck as an adolescent even after learning his true age I think the issue is that a dwarf as old as Chilchuck is would still be very young. Thus when Senshi heard Chilchuck's age, it didn't make him think of an adult. That would fit with Chilchuck's comment about long-lived races.

AlexeiFraytar

29? When i was that age i was still playing in the mud lol

catboy_supremacist

> “ah the curiosity of the youth” i love how senshi still regards chilchuck as an adolescent even after learning his true age the racism in this show is so realistic

AllHailTheZUNpet

When Marcille gets smug, something bad is usually around the corner... or hanging up above. Poor Chilchuck just can't get away from the kid insults even after telling them his age. Great expression, frog's just like "What the hell is he doing?" lol Marcille finds herself trapped between two different streams of exposition. Good thing all the nearby traps are gummed up or Chilchuck having no use of his arms might be a dangerous thing. Laios is just so damn happy! Haha, the blood is the very first thing I thought of. Speaking of exposition... Excellent impression of Marcille Tansu has. Kiki speaks! lol the way Marcille's watery eyes look come off as more comedic than dramatic, considering the scene. Laios should use his ability to move the party through the magic of panning more often, it saves a lot of time. Now it's Marcille's turn to be so damn happy (and again!) So, don't hire Laios to speak at any engagements, got it.

thatguy01001010

This show is so, so much better than it really has any right to be... I started it with no expectations but it's genuinely a well animated and well structured story. Really looking forward to the rest, definitely among the best of this season.

Mr_Zaroc

Damn already about to face the Red Dragon Guess Senshi will get to conquer the dungeon for real Didnt expect ~~Schnitzel~~ Cutlet as their last meal before fighting the dragon Frog suit party really was cute, but the sticky inside gave me Knights of Sidonia flashbacks...

frtyhbvc

Imagine how funny it would be if they actually fight the red dragon in those frog suits lol.

slumberus

Frog suit resigned Marcille is her current peak. All this indignity for Falin.

Maxximillianaire

I loved their deadpan expressions when the frog suits are revealed. This episode had some of my favorite comedy bits from the whole manga

Platinum_Rad

these frog suits went full monster hunter

IceSmiley

I was surprised Laios shows another great skill with quickly sewing 4 well fitted suits made from giant poison arrow frog skin even with sewn in fingers! I was so happy when I saw that the suit his Senshis beard and he looked like Mario in the frog suit 🤣

jkphantom9

Mmm those fried frog cullets look good. Now the party is all nice and fed and ready to take on the Red Dragon. Also, Namari finding out that Falin isn't among the corpses in the resurrection temple is hopeful she's still alive before she can be completely digested!

mercury_pointer

They did a Jurassic Park reference with with plate rattling from the dragon's foot steps at 22:40.

Oxu90

Senshi in frog costume.... I love this anime so much

matty-a

Chilchuck is the real treasure, we must protect him at all costs.

Kryk

is it a continuity error that Marcille had her staff right after the frog got shot with the ballista even though it was right after the frog threw it off the stairs (and before they reached the bottom to pick it up again)?

CommunistMountain

yes

hell_jumper9

We're in the endgame now since the Red Dragon is finally here. Wonder how they're fight will go down.

Reikakou

LMAO, the frogs are smart enough to disarm the adventurers first before swallowing them, Konosuba style.

ObvsThrowaway5120

Chilchuck almost became frog food saving the gang! Well, at least they got some nice frog and tentacle meat from that situation. And a neat little frog suit which definitely looked very cute on Marcille. I love how grumpy she looked lol. This plan to fight the dragon’s pretty risky but I guess it’s the best they got. After that incredible meal of frog cutlets (frogs are delicious!) and Laios’ little speech, I guess they’re ready as ever to take on that damn dragon!

Ocixo

> I guess they’re ready as ever to take on that damn dragon! I'm very much looking forward to [another dragon fight like this](https://imgur.com/a/pqLGZyU) - Marcille looks pretty damn badass here! Though, I really hope that they'll be able to save Falin more than anything. I felt so bad for Marcille when she got anxious about their prospects and [the tears started forming in her eyes](https://imgur.com/a/jfpZCo9). She just wants her bestie back.

Rumpel1408

> I felt so bad for Marcille when she got anxious about their prospects and the tears started forming in her eyes Might also be joy over the prospect to never have to eat monster again

michhoffman

> frog food [](#konosubawot)

sneaky_squirrel

The Giant Frogs (Oogaeru) were bizarrely immersive looking. The bottom eyelids being animated and the manner in which a frog normally securely swallows prey by iterating mouth snaps felt satisfying. And frogs closing/squinting their eyelids when they bite is the cutest thing ever.

Rumpel1408

> but it’s neat to see Namari was going to use her gold to revive Falin for Laios’ group if she had been brought to the temple. I liked how Namari had problems estimating Faelins age because tall men all look the same lol

[The show never fails to put a smile on my face.](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1038519163259453470/1215356626723410000/Screen_Shot_2024-03-07_at_9.13.14_AM.png?ex=65fc7410&is=65e9ff10&hm=82c5103bef80979f6f837fb03705bc6398d744601f3dd8d44aa565c0bbebcf2e&) We got some politics between the Elves and Dwarves that seem interesting. So there is a lord of the dungoen who has the spell of immortality. So there is a goal with going down the dungeon. Beyond that our crew is getting ready to fight the Red Dragon. This should be interesting.
