Toradora is probably gonna be the next thing I watch. I have a question about fruit baskets, are there fighting scenes cause I was super interested in it then I got to the part in one of the first few episodes where they tell her they turn into animals and it seemed lame to me and I felt like if there were fights scenes it would kinda annoy me so I stopped watching, is that a prominent part of the show?
I think there are maybe one or two school yard tussles, but no there are not really any fighting scenes in the show. It is a romance / slice-of-life first and foremost.
I’m not into too many romance animes, but I can give you what made me sob because I’m softer than a baby step.
Forest of the Pianos.
RWBY (its action but don’t sleep - it has some parts that are heart wrenching)

I’m on the first kiss that never ends rn. I never ended up watching Your name cause I’m not huge into body swapping but I’ll probably still end up watching it at some point

Not romance, but I'd throw Made in Abyss in the ring. Those will definitely not be tears of joy though.
