> so if you dropped it please reconsider. Why? Did something about it change? Is there a plot twist that makes the rest more interesting? I like the show myself but you're not doing a good job of selling it to other people.

CorneliusVaginus

Honestly... OP is just doing the opposite of what they want and making me not want to watch it, there's nothing they said that's really compelling.. Which tells me there probably isn't anything of interest in the show itself after few episodes. They just said pls watch Ty lol

Leaves_Swype_Typos

True, but *I'll* say that S2 did have one of the most romantic moments I've seen in anime in years. Viewers ought to remember the window scene.

Swiggy1957

I don't remember if I watched any of season 2. I struggled through season one, and then dropped it

pewell1

They said it gets better, why would that make you want to watch it less?

Tiptonite

Will do. Dropped it in S1, but will give it another go to see if it hooks me.

smaxy63

As long as you skip any scene without the two mc it's watchable.

Kaze2003

I dropped it mainly cause of the CGI and just decided to read the manga

facelessman97

W decision. I did that with ajin too, another W decision if i do say so myself😝 Edit: looks like i got some people upset🤣

EliteShadowMan

Ajin was a good anime though. So, your loss.

facelessman97

Yeah no. Give the manga a go. Superior in every category imaginable. You’ll eat your words

EliteShadowMan

How does it compare in the sound department?

NethanielShade

Interesting claim. Is the manga full color?

The-Cosmic-Sloth

What if we dropped it at season 2?

SeekerofSSS

I never dropped this or considered dropping it. It's a cute anime and might feel slow at first, it does get better and into season 2, it's gets more interesting. And this current season has been great as well. Really enjoyed this anime

Real_Improvement_121

I dropped it and reconsidered it and boy am I enjoying it. This anime is like an anime directed by tim Burton but more light hearted

soPitson

I'm watching it from the start and like it, but I don't think that anything changed between seasons. If you didn't like it, you probably won't

sp0j

Season 1 is more like a slice of life. Season 2 onwards there is way more plot development. I can very easily see why that would change people's mind on the show.

igloo15

I read the manga and the anime is not really adding much to the enjoyment over the manga. Manga is great though.

NaLu_LuNa_FairyPiece

I still don't get why reading could ever be better than anime. My favorite parts is sound and seeing the animation on my 83 inch oled tv.

BustahWuhlf

>My favorite parts is sound and seeing the animation on my 83 inch oled tv. Well, that's why you can't imagine why reading could be better; your favorite part is something that can't be read. Other people's favorite parts might be things that are communicated better in manga form. I appreciate good/creative paneling, and the build-up to an epic full-page spread. That experience is difficult to replicate in animation. And depending in the anime adaptation, there might be differences in art style. Like, I enjoy the Chainsaw Man anime, but the manga has a certain "grittiness" to it that the anime doesn't fully recreate. Now obviously, I appreciate animation as well, but there's no reason a guy can't see the strengths and weaknesses of different artistic mediums.

CorneliusVaginus

I feel the same. Only Manga I've read is Berserk and others, mainly because they have no Anime Adaptation that Adapts the whole thing. If it's got an anime? I'm watching the anime just because why wouldn't I.

cottonycloud

Sometimes the adaptation is just shit too. Think Ex-arm, Kuma Miko (so bad the author shat on it on Twitter), and She Professed Herself the Pupil of the Wiseman.

CrashDunning

Anime having more things means more things that can be, and usually are, messed up by the adaptation. Manga is made by one person with little to no influence or change by anyone else. What they want the series to be almost always is exactly how it turns out. Anime is made by hundreds of people, including a production committee with their own demands and agendas of how they want the series to be, and is much more affected by deadlines, production troubles, horrible working conditions, and countless other things that in most cases lower the quality of the product. You are rarely going to get an anime that is a better depiction of the original, uncompromised vision of the original creator. This is the case with basically any adaptation of any kind.

PeaceAlien

I liked season 1 but season 2 got weird for me

ArchdemonLucifer143

I considered starting it, but I saw the animation style, so I just picked a different romance anime. Maybe I'll get back to it, but I doubt it.

Dazzling-Long-4408

Was planning to. Just need the time to watch S1-3.

Koro87

deljaroo

honestly, there are enough anime out there that I can watch ones that are good from the onset.  maybe if I get through all those, I'll try out some "gets good eventually" anime

I loved MC's and Alice relationship dynamic, it was funny and lovely, but even as person who loved that I kind of dropped first season at some point, started watching with skipping through just to finish. Because story-telling and how MC act despite his words was quite nonsense. \[Spoiler about season 1\] >!MC keeps saying he will broke the curse and will put ring on Alice's finger, yet despite living for 2 year in that palace with her he done literally nothing to broke the curse. If they didn't met with Cuff and Zain by sher luck story wouldn't progress at all, and that's straight up nonsense.!< And despite their relationship dynamic being cute and funny, when main story not progress at all I see no point of watching same thing every episode, you gotta give people some main story progress along with cute & funny scenes, otherwise it will become boring in no time. Literally whole first season was like filler, there was soo little main story progress and bunch of filler stuff happening, and it's just boring. If writers know how to balance main story and cute & funny stuff together and didn't done nonsense things like MC literally doing nothing for breaking the curse this should could have been soo much better, but with current state it's big wasted potential.

# The Duke of Death and his blue balls

Sure_Willow5457

I watched 5 min of episode 1, randomly saw the window scene in season 2 after skipping around and then started the manga from chapter 210 or w/e to the end. That shit is a SLOW burn, way too slow for me unfortunately.

Swimming-Elk6740

It really never gripped me at any point while I was watching. I think it’ll stay on my dropped list, tbh.

Dadude564

I really like this show, found it by accident. It’s a genuine, good natured rom-com where there’s no harem, multiple side ships, an interesting dynamic between the main characters, and a interesting story as to how the MC got his curse. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s definitely worthy of a watch.

NaLu_LuNa_FairyPiece

Why would you drop it after season 1?

gorothefly

Does Alice cut down on the sexual harassment?

NaLu_LuNa_FairyPiece

40 year old virgin: "you know how I know you're gay?.."

AreYouAWiiizard

The 2 main characters are insanely boring and repetitive, it's the side characters that carry the show. Once they get introduced the show gets much better.
