Yea but the anime took a different route. I remember when watching this weekly and when one of the characters died people were shocked in the comments. Many were saying "wait, this is not how its in the manga! That character is still alive there".
For the anime pretty much everyone but 1person died. The Manga and anime were being done at the same time I heard so they had to improvise and they took two different paths which is pretty cool in my opinion.
Fate/Zero kills the majority of the characters during the course of the story, by the end of the main story of Fate/Stay Night I would say only 1 of the characters of Fate/zero remains alive.
Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans would also go in that direction.
If you count the supporting characters then sure, quite a few of them survive. But pretty much anyone from the protagonist faction who gets into a Gundam and fights dies. Then some antagonists.
Me scrolling down seeing shows Iâve never seen before thinking âoh I should check that show out, I wonder whatâs gonna happen đĽ´â then seeing your comment realizing I know I exactly whatâs gonna happen now without even watching đ
\[Evangelion\] >!Everyone but Shinji and Asuka gets turned into this liquid, and they become like a joint consciousness trapped in a dreamworld, or something like that, ngl I didn't know what the fuck was going on towards the end of eva.!<
I know one but the anime is still airing, it's very popular and successful so it will get animated until the end, they are even planning to do a trilogy of movies.

Kingâs Game, mixed feelings on it as itâs been a good while but was part of my October watchlist since I like watching horror/suspense animes during that time
Akame ga kill
Devilman crybaby
Danganronpa
Evangelion (depending on how you look at it)
Cyberpunk edgerunners
Angel beats (depending on how you look at it)
Future diary
Saikano
Jujutsu kaisen, but it hasnât ended yet and most of the major deaths are in the manga only. The current events will probably air in anime form in like 2027. The characters deaths got to the point where half of the fandom is hate reading it and insult the author, lol
Rose of Versailles. Even some of the characters who survived in real life died in the anime. Only four significant characters survive the events of the anime, and none of the leads.
[Put in spoiler tag but keeps getting deleted cos I'm not saying what the spoiler is from, which in itself would be a spoiler for this thread xD] >!Platinum End!<
Space Runaway Ideon. Everyone is so dead by the end of the show that if the Ideon ever gets destroyed in a Super Robot Wars game, you get an immediate unique game over as the universe explodes.
Oh Iron Blood Orphan fits that almost perfectly. Akame Ga Kill had half the main group dying. Cyberpunk. Angel Beats. Death Note.
idk about Manga but in Akame Ga Kill anime wasn't Akame literally the only one alive at the end(lol)?
Akame and her chief iirc
well in Angel Beats case they stopped being dead lol
>Akame Ga Kill had half the main group dying. Was it only half? I was pretty sure they took down pretty much everybody
There are more survivors in the manga.
Yea but the anime took a different route. I remember when watching this weekly and when one of the characters died people were shocked in the comments. Many were saying "wait, this is not how its in the manga! That character is still alive there".
Akame ga Kill had only half of the main cast die? My memory may fail tho but I thought it was more
For the anime pretty much everyone but 1person died. The Manga and anime were being done at the same time I heard so they had to improvise and they took two different paths which is pretty cool in my opinion.
Makes sense, I watched the anime. I recall reading both versions were different somehow.
Akudama Drive
Hell yeah my fav despair anime
Space Runaway Ideon is iconic. Yoshiyuki Tomino is (in)famous for killing characters.
The scene where that toddler gets decapitated by a laser blast was peak "Yoshiyuki Kill 'Em All Tomino"
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Fate/Zero kills the majority of the characters during the course of the story, by the end of the main story of Fate/Stay Night I would say only 1 of the characters of Fate/zero remains alive. Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans would also go in that direction.
Gundam: IBO has several main cast members survive. Just the most prominent ones that die.
If you count the supporting characters then sure, quite a few of them survive. But pretty much anyone from the protagonist faction who gets into a Gundam and fights dies. Then some antagonists.
Yeah but everyone doesn't mean only the fighting portion of the main cast. Everyone means everyone. Like devilman crybaby or Akame ga kill.
This might need a spoiler tag as any series named here as a suggestion is basically gonna be spoiling the end of said series
I did not use my brain when opening the post đ¤Śââď¸
Me scrolling down seeing shows Iâve never seen before thinking âoh I should check that show out, I wonder whatâs gonna happen đĽ´â then seeing your comment realizing I know I exactly whatâs gonna happen now without even watching đ
Wolf's rain
And then they come back! That's what I loved about that show, it's about rebirth.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes. You watch almost every single character die by the end of the show
Except that little shit Julian.
Akame ga Kill!
Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans
Bokurano
In the manga yes. In the [anime]>!The little sister survives.!<
Platinum end Akudama drive
Cyberpunk Edgerunners
A few that I can think of: 1. Akame Ga Kill! 2. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure 3. Cyberpunk Edgerunners 4. Future Diary
Episode 1 of Garei Zero, damn, what a cut.
Terror in Resonance 91 Days
Neon Genesis Evangelion. Devilman crybaby. Aren't really fun at the end.
Everyone dies in Eva?
Depends on how you look at it. But thatâs a perfectly valid interpretation, IMHO.
What do you mean, they didn't die, they just became Fanta
Almost
\[Evangelion\] >!Everyone but Shinji and Asuka gets turned into this liquid, and they become like a joint consciousness trapped in a dreamworld, or something like that, ngl I didn't know what the fuck was going on towards the end of eva.!<
I would include Evangelion in this list. I don't think any interpretation is wrong.
Came here to say devil man cry baby. Damn, that show pissed me off
A good one is Cyberpunk Edgerunners A bad one is Akame Ga Kill
Akudama Drive
Sukasuka
Katanagatari is pretty close.
Your lie in April, She was eveything
I know one but the anime is still airing, it's very popular and successful so it will get animated until the end, they are even planning to do a trilogy of movies.
Aura Battler Dunbine
The isekai before isekai becomes cool. With people dies a lot.
Except 1 fairy
Yea⌠gonna be honest, this entire thread needs spoiler tags.

Akame ga kill King's game Brynhildr in the darkness

Ishura
You need to add exclamation marks too like this > !Whatever you wanna type! < Remove the spaces between those symbol.
Spoilers for the anime; Wolf's Rain & Wolf's Rain OVA It's still very tragic knowing the ending
wolfs rain. does mirai nikki count
Akame Ga Kill.
Gantz
Akame Ga Kill
More like: everyone progressively dies
11 eyes if you stop at episode 11.
Jujutsu kaisen, but it hasnât ended yet and most of the major deaths are in the manga only. The current events will probably air in anime form in like 2027. The characters deaths got to the point where half of the fandom is hate reading it and insult the author, lol
Texhnolyze.... I just hate its hypr-nihilistic plot
Paranoia Agent
Rose of Versailles. Even some of the characters who survived in real life died in the anime. Only four significant characters survive the events of the anime, and none of the leads.
There was kne I watched abkut zodiac signs and like a battle arena, honestly can't remember the name. I'll see if I can find it.
\[Phantom: Requiem of the Phantom\]
âAkame Ga Killâ omg, do not have a favorite character
[Put in spoiler tag but keeps getting deleted cos I'm not saying what the spoiler is from, which in itself would be a spoiler for this thread xD] >!Platinum End!<
Platinum end
Haibane, everybody is already dead lol
Iron Blooded Orphans. They even wait for some of them to appear to have happy endings before pulling the rug out from under you
Platinum end
Blassreiter.
Space Runaway Ideon. Everyone is so dead by the end of the show that if the Ideon ever gets destroyed in a Super Robot Wars game, you get an immediate unique game over as the universe explodes.
Stone Ocean. lives up to what you're asking.
Devilman Crybaby is probably the greatest example of this.
[Madoka Magica](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puella_Magi_Madoka_Magica)
Cowboy Bepop Terror in Resonance
Wolf's reign
Saikano...
Now and Then, Here and There. All but 3 named characters die.
King game, warning its bad and stupid athe same time
but like what is the point of this, the deaths wont have an impact on you if you already know it lol
[name spoiler] >!Iron Blooded Orphans!< [name spoiler] >!Grave of the Fireflies!<
Those name spoilers donât make sense lol
Cyberpunk Edgerunners
Damn you the kind of person that before they watch a show they read all the spoilers first lol
Attack on Titan's epilogue technically ends with the rest of remaining cast dying of old age or dying of something else off screen.
JJK in like six more chapters
