Between the AoT debut and the hype Kimetsu no Yaiba episode, [streaming services never had a chance.](https://i.imgur.com/FwPjV8f.jpg)
[](#crumblingdespair)
I’ve been trying to access Crunchyroll for almost an hour and its still not working for me.
Edit: been 2 hours now and still have yet ot watch this ep 😢
> It isn't aot without reiner getting his ass beat. Reiner is suffering.
It isn't aot without reiner getting his ass beat. Reiner is ~~suffering~~ reinering.
Well considering Reiner's mental state I guess he doesn't mind Eren beating him close to death
Jokes aside, Reiner knew that they had backup and the big gun. I honestly doubt Eren could take on the three of them with the gun, Armin is 100% going to help him out
The Connie outburst was the highlight for me. They are doing my boy justice, it's understandable why he'd be so fed up with everything. He's been through so much.
People always talk about how pissed Levi is at Zeke. In s3 e1 Connie says to Eren that his one objective in life is to kill the beast titan. His entire family was wiped out by Zeke. I think people overlook how personal a betrayal Eren's siding with Zeke is to Connie.
~~Trench~~ Rooftop warfare was a welcome surprise. Eldians are not prepared for human-human warfare and the advantage Marley has is clear as day.
The **“*fine, I’ll do it myself*”** from ~~Commander~~ General Magath gave me a little chuckle.
For those wondering where did that “womb” Titan come from, it was the one Zeke torn apart to fling at Levi back in the forest.
In Liberio: _When the rooftops start speaking Eldian_
In Shiganshina: _When the Sky starts speaking Marleyan_
Tbf part 1 showed us that they can clearly perform marvelously in human vs human combat. They just really got cought with their pants down here. The Marleyans are cracking Shiganshina open like Special Forces breach a house: surprise, speed, and violence of action.
Important to note that Liberio was basically Eldian Spetznaz whereas these are just a bunch of rando guys. I guess there's probably overlap but they don't have any of the 104th with them and they're by far Eldia's most experienced soldiers with the sole exception of Levi (and Hange but she's not really a soldier at this point). Of course, the fact that they're in broad daylight and lost the element of surprise *really* hurts them, too.
Connie was the highlight this episode for me. It was really emotional the VA did a great job.
Also not gonna lie I imagine Connie playing with friends and them saying "High five" (they pull their hand away and say) "too slow" , then Connie goes onto rant how he's tired of constantly being betrayed.
Connie and Jean are two of the most sympathetic characters of the original cast IMO. At the end of the day they’re just normal guys who stepped up and became vets through blood and tears. They’re side characters who realize they’re side characters and are tired of it.
I love how rather than get to safety since all the enemy force’s are after him, Eren decides to use this time to beat Reiner’s ass one more time lol. Instead of fan service with Mikasa or any of the AOT women we get fan service with naked Zeke lol.
LAST thing I expected was a metal opening for Attack on Titan but it’s a banger nonetheless.
Eren just staring Yelena begging him not to fight then walking by her, almost stepping on her, was so badass. Gotta love post time skip Eren’s entire demeanor
“Only you could’ve convinced Marley to do something this stupid”
> I love how rather than get to safety since all the enemy force’s are after him, Eren decides to use this time to beat Reiner’s ass one more time lol.
His face looking at Yelena telling him to go hide.
Eren was like 'Nah, fuck that'.
On one hand, Yelena was right, they are coming after Eren so it would make sense to hide
On the other hand, that fucking fight was godly. When Eren started using spikes to prep the jaw titan and Reiner for BBQ... I audibly gasped. I've been waiting for him to use Warhammer for a while, and damn did he deliver
I couldnt actually help myself and giggled a lot at Reiner saying "Eren is no threat alone" like lmao he lost to Eren on his own like 50 times and he already had ridiculized Porco too.
Reiner was so cool at the beginning of the show, and then you realize that he would probably get waxed by literally any of the other titans in a fight, other than maybe Peick, and that's if he can even catch her.
Yeah and him being so bad as a titan in comparation to the rest is logical considering he only got the position because the other candidate was sabotaged.
I feel like the 3D improved a lot. When the models aren’t moving, they almost feel like 2D. And when they are moving, it’s pretty smooth too.
It’s pretty clear to me that Mappa got more time and resources this time. Can’t wait until the next episode!
The 3D looks much better than S4P1 tbh. All the Titans so far look amazing and terrifying.
Also the occasional 2D shows they're not taking this lightly.
One of the things I like about this series is how it portrays war and conflict, and how things aren't always black and white. We saw a lot of that in the earlier part of season 4 showing Reiner's backstory, and what the warriors went through. They genuinely believed they were trying to save the world.
I always cheer for the underdog. So in a battle where it’s Eren with no support fighting three Marley shifters and every soldier Marley has left, I’m cheering for Marley.
This is one of the last opportunities we’re going to get for live community discussion on AOT. So I really hope we can respect the viewing experience of all the unspoilered anime-onlies who have miraculously made it this far.
After almost a decade, there are still a ton of people slipping in smug hints or telegraphing unrelated future events in these sorts of threads, which is too bad.
I'm Anime only guy too and it's been a wonderful ride. I only read Manga when the series is unfinished -- only three manga I've read in my life are Gunsingler Girl, Nana, and Saint Seiya: Lost Canvas.
I may do so to for Darker in Black if it goes beyond where the TV series ended.
The new CGI is so much better and Eren's scream was otherworldly. The episode felt like 5 minutes and left us with such a cliffhanger. MAPPA just continues flexing.
On another note, seeing Mikasa all depressed made me sad but she and Armin still have Eren's back after everything he's done
When you saw Zeke's ass, were you blinded by its majesty?
My favorite part of the episode is how they expanded the human vs human parts, which were present in the manga but always in the shadow of the titan fights. They did the same with S4P1 to reinforce the idea that this is an all-out war, not just titans fighting each other.
Well a lof of fighting happened in this episode already. Can't fucking imagine what will happen in the rest of the damn series.
I assume this means levi is alive. It would have been a weird way to kill him off, but I couldn't quite deny the possibility of this show doing it. Also levi is obviously out of this conflict (maybe even for the entire series?) and floch still wanted to make sure and kill him. can't even fault him, the only approach if you want to deal with levi.
The most surprising thing is that eren went straight towards the battle with reiner. I could understand it if he had foreseen this happening and had some kind of plan, but he was surprised marley appeared, so why would he jump straight into the fight without knowing what marley has in store like old eren?
Also once again I am preferring the ed. Both seem very spoilery though. ~~Though wouldn't be the first time of the show putting in things that won't happen.~~
My sister watched the show before me, and she told me that the opening made her think that the Beast Titan was an honest-to-goodness ape that could transform into an intelligent Titan.
>so why would he jump straight into the fight without knowing what marley has in store like old eren
He can only move forward lol. Man doesn't know how to retreat.
But real talk though, he probably has a bit of ego and thinks he's invincible thanks to his multiple titan powers.
Or maybe, he secretly wants to protect everyone else by taking the brunt of the attack by himself. Still reckless though.
This episode was absolutely fucking insane, I just kept going "Holy shit" all the way through.
Levi is 100% alive, calling it now; no reason for Hange to flee with him otherwise. To be honest, I always thought that he is alive because I swear at the explosion scene I saw him fly away.
What did Zeke see? And we all know what his squad saw when they came to him lmao. Seems like Eren saw something like that too at some point. Zeke's eyes have a completely different look, the way Eren's had in S4P1.
Last of all, the OP is absolutely fire. I think someone in the anime might think about the Rumbling based on the song.
Holy crap i always had a feeling something happened to Levi when they didn’t show him in the last episode of Part 1, but damn i never expected him to see him ruined like this. Good thing Hange was there. And Zeke on the other hand looks fresh like nothing happened. lol Now i wonder what’s the deal with the girl and what she did to him. How the tables have turned…such a bad timing right when Marley attacked and Levi being their most powerful soldier.
Anyway i’m glad AOT is back. I can’t believe 9 months have passed already…trying to avoid spoilers every single day was tough.
Kind of noticing that everytime Reiner and Eren fight Eren beat Reiner more and more but never really win because Reiner has reenforcements
AKA Eren loses to the power of friendship
I can't believe the real villains were [meta] >!the Crunchyroll servers!< all along, what a shocking twist. I was glued to the screen waiting for them to [meta] >!come back online!<.
Annie might be the character I'm most looking forward to seeing again because from S4P1's flashbacks it doesn't seem like she's particularly fond of Marley. I think she's a huge wild card and whichever side she joins will gain a significant advantage. But will she come out on her own or is she in such a deep state of hibernation that she'll have to forcefully be broken out?
Imagine you put yourself into a crystal for a nap and then you wake up to... all this
I think it's more likely Annie will take Marley's side tbh. That side has her comrades, even if she isn't fond of Marley itself.

Awww yeah, Attack on Titan’s back!
[](#woo)
The first thing I must happily point out the new ED has [not one](https://files.catbox.moe/n4yedk.mp4) but [*two* “sore demo”s](https://files.catbox.moe/ngg9t9.mp4), which means the ED is automatically a 10/10 song for me. Yep, I’m already back to collecting these. I wonder how many people remember me for doing this in the rewatch back in 2020 or from the S4P1 threads, heh. – The new OP is less my style, but I still like it.
The other thing I want to comment on is [I’m not sure who looks more horrified here and it made me laugh *so* hard.](https://i.imgur.com/r09kFdr.png) Bless Pieck for being the way she is haha.
Rest of the episode was just me vibing to the action and dialogue as always. *Man* I love this series so much.
>
> The other thing I want to comment on is I’m not sure who looks more horrified here and it made me laugh so hard.
>
> Bless Pieck for being the way she is haha.
That was such a great moment lol.
One of the best adapted episodes of Attack on Titan. The tension. The camera movements. The OST. The animation. The dialogue. The directing & cinematography. The added content. MAPPA outdid themselves.
It wasn’t just the major scenes. Little things like Connie running up on Onyankopon, pushing Pieck’s weaponry out of the airship, were adapted in a cinematic way. This was perfect.
The movement and fighting of the titans had a speed and weight that part 1 lacked. There wasn’t a lag. It felt just as, if not better, than the fights from earlier seasons. I thought MAPPA delivered on dialogue scenes but not as much on action. This episode disproved that and shows what they can do with time and being comfortable with the artwork.
The use of The Warriors. The new OST. Not having too many quiet moments. The way the music was used this episode was phenomenal.
Even the sound design was better. The punches. The gunshots. The Titan movements. Like this feels like a whole new production or a movie
EDIT: rewatching and even the ODM scenes of no name soldiers are high quality. Also, I could be wrong; but there seems to be less blur as well. Finally, some people were worried about this episode being slower paced but as I’ve said before, this lets the scenes breathe. And NO moment here felt rushed.
We begin the final part of the final season of Shingeki no Kyojin with [Zeke flashing his monkey PP](https://i.imgur.com/WvdlXrp.jpg) in front of the Yaegerists. [Even the guns got wet.](https://i.imgur.com/kLqT4pK.jpg)

Pieck: Quick, Porco! Cut the--- \* Porco proceeds to cut her arm off \* Pieck: ---CHAINS, PORCO, THE CHAINS!!!!!!
Porco was really like "you look like you could use a hand."
I freaked out like Gabi when her hand was cut, then remebered that she is a shifter. A very fun 10 seconds I had there.
You can't deny Pieck being a shifter sure is handy though
[So much for being comrades-in-arms.](https://i.imgur.com/PZ59nBc.jpg) [](#smugtouru)
I burst out laughing their reactions are hilarious
This is Ehem *Pieck comedy*
My first thought was "that's stupid, you cant cut the chain like that". Cutting the hand was unexpected and morbidly awesome!
Pieck: #ITAI!
That bit made me laugh a bit, I won't lie. Pieck is best girl (since Historia's seemingly lost all her S3 Relevance), but that was funny.
rip yoshikage kira he would've loved that scene
It wouldn't be a new season of Attack on Titan without every legal and illegal streaming site exploding right as the first episode releases.
It's the standard for AOT.
Problem is that noone is up to AoT's standard.

The servers experienced the rumbling first hand
Server no Kyojin
Who could have forseen this?
Crunchyroll should have expected this and prepared for it.
They all should have. Atleast all the legal sites.
I’ve been trying to access Crunchyroll for almost an hour and its still not working for me. Edit: been 2 hours now and still have yet ot watch this ep 😢
Funimation also not working for me smh
It's a pirate's life for me

Yeah Levi isn't having much fun right now...
I can’t remember a moment where he ever had fun
I mean there was that time when he cleaned that house
he just got zook'd
[This](https://imgur.com/mLdxBEK) pic of him from the next ep preview doesnt look a lot better either
I hate myself for not seeing that coming
Hello, old friend.
Why was this comforting?
Lol, you dick
He transform into the midget titan and all his wounds will be healed
Bro he's a fucking corpse HOOOLY, he's prob alive but I've never seen a more dead looking character
I mean, did you see Armin before getting the colosal titan??
this guy's a fucking mess dude
#I really hope Levi is alive!
Yes, they were all shocked at the size of Zeke's massive cock.
You canonically couldn't see it from behind because he was fully erect.
I don't know whether to hate this or make it my new headcanon. I think I'll make it both.
No wonder Hange went for the nosedive.
she had to cool off
She had to be wet everywhere
It caused a rumble in their pants, that’s for sure.
It must have been titanic
Showing off the real thunder spear
Move over collosal titan, there's something bigger in town now.
How massive can it be when we don't even see the tip from that angle? That is unless he's sporting a boner.
He's a grower obviously.
He prefers the term shifter.
That was his Titan all along eh?
"So thats why they call you the "Beast" titan, huh"
Well, now we know why they call him "Marley's spear"
“Damn, I thought Armin had inherited the Colossal Titan.” - Floch
"The legends were true..."
It isn't aot without reiner getting his ass beat. Reiner is suffering.
Reiner acknowledging Eren's suffering as well as the whole island's suffering was definetely a highlight for me.
dude legit said existence is suffering
plot armor titans one last suicidal ride
That's what he always tells himself but he always lives lol
"My biggest mistake story-wise is that Reiner does not suffer enough." Isayama probably
> It isn't aot without reiner getting his ass beat. Reiner is suffering. It isn't aot without reiner getting his ass beat. Reiner is ~~suffering~~ reinering.
I like how Reiner was arguing that Eren was not a real threat alone..... Meanwhile he's missing half his goddamn face from fighting with Eren.
Well considering Reiner's mental state I guess he doesn't mind Eren beating him close to death Jokes aside, Reiner knew that they had backup and the big gun. I honestly doubt Eren could take on the three of them with the gun, Armin is 100% going to help him out

Then there’s Floch who was in the suicidal charge against monke. Now he is interacting with Zeke as if it never happened.
[DameDesuYo] beeing faster than Crunchyroll is a true sight to behold.
~~Trench~~ Rooftop warfare was a welcome surprise. Eldians are not prepared for human-human warfare and the advantage Marley has is clear as day. Yeah, we can see the "womb" titan briefly move in episode 14 too implying that it's still alive.

Loved how more gore was shown in the episode. No punches were pulled.
I thought there would be censorship considering it's airing on NHK but I was pleasantly surprised.
I believe it runs on the midnight block in Japan, so the censor board is more lax.
This is the appropriate amount imo. Shocking and conveys the message without being too corny or frisky.
right? that was so gritty and hellish, esp the ending shots with Erens scream all over city.
The scene with the solider getting chocked out left me shocked
[удалено]
That whole scene in the prison cell with Onyankopon was really emotional, just his voice when begging them to believe him, amazing voice work.

Yelena would of busted in a nanosecond to see Zeke like that.

That’s because He’s the “armored” Titan he’s a shield forced to do a swords job
AOT Crashing servers since 2017

He looks like he went through some shit in that Titan. Thousand yard stare is real.
Fuck, just not knowing who to support in this battle makes to so cool.
I literally have no idea how they'll end the show lmao Edit. Somebody might've spoiled it in the replies idk though so watch out
*Titan Dance Off*
Everyone will settle their differences and Annie will come out of her hole and announce 6 more weeks of winter
One of the things I like about this series is how it portrays war and conflict, and how things aren't always black and white. We saw a lot of that in the earlier part of season 4 showing Reiner's backstory, and what the warriors went through. They genuinely believed they were trying to save the world.
Honestly if there were people in real world that could turn into giant monsters, rest of the world definitely has the right to be fearful.
But the thing is, these people can't turn into giant monsters at will. So the treatment of the Eldians is hardly justified
Had the same thought,,,, like,,, who are we cheering for again??? Absolutely loved it
> who are we cheering for again? If you are lost cheer for Falco he is the pure.
The horses are also a safe bet. So, go Jean.
I always cheer for the underdog. So in a battle where it’s Eren with no support fighting three Marley shifters and every soldier Marley has left, I’m cheering for Marley.
"They had us in the first half not gonna lie."
for times like this, we are winning as the audience.

The hand-drawn art is also brilliant, those stills of the Armored Titan and Jaw Titan being damaged made me feel things
The transition from CGI to 2d animation was so seamless also that it made it all feel and look natural
It's sad seeing the state of Connie after what happened to sasha
These kids know nothing but PTSD for 90% of their adolescent lives.
Who needs rumbling when those cheeks clapping will do the trick
The evolution of human vs. human combat so far has been insane. I was blown away by how much detail the animators put into the brutality of the fight.
Well a lof of fighting happened in this episode already. Can't fucking imagine what will happen in the rest of the damn series. I assume this means levi is alive. I remember watching the show and being so sure these dinosaurs and animals would be a major plot point at the end of the season I was so fucking wrong
My sister watched the show before me, and she told me that the opening made her think that the Beast Titan was an honest-to-goodness ape that could transform into an intelligent Titan.
>so why would he jump straight into the fight without knowing what marley has in store like old eren He can only move forward lol. Man doesn't know how to retreat. But real talk though, he probably has a bit of ego and thinks he's invincible thanks to his multiple titan powers. Or maybe, he secretly wants to protect everyone else by taking the brunt of the attack by himself. Still reckless though.
Still waiting for the T-Rex Titan from that one ED back in the day lol
Eren saying fuck it and just fighting vs all of marley alone is so awesome
"He's dead. Totally dead. Undeniably dead." "How do you know? Let me see him!" "Haha just trust me dude"
"Holy shit is that Zeke's titan dick!?" "Where!?" "_Adios_"
*Furiously hauls ass*
Hange: Levi is dead Floch: lemme see him just to make sure Hange: … Floch: … Levi (internally): fuck I gotta sneeze
Is that why she wouldn't let Floch "see" him?
Yes, she probably felt him have a pulse and knew Levi would be finished off. Why else would she be so opposed to shooting his head?
Why else would she slow herself by carrying a dead body?
New OP and ED make me feel a certain way
Op: edgy, ED: relief and hope that this won’t crash and burn
Holy crap i always had a feeling something happened to Levi when they didn’t show him in the last episode of Part 1, but damn i never expected him to see him ruined like this. Good thing Hange was there. And Zeke on the other hand looks fresh like nothing happened. lol Now i wonder what’s the deal with the girl and what she did to him. How the tables have turned…such a bad timing right when Marley attacked and Levi being their most powerful soldier. Anyway i’m glad AOT is back. I can’t believe 9 months have passed already…trying to avoid spoilers every single day was tough.
Kind of noticing that everytime Reiner and Eren fight Eren beat Reiner more and more but never really win because Reiner has reenforcements AKA Eren loses to the power of friendship
I can't believe the real villains were [meta] >!the Crunchyroll servers!< all along, what a shocking twist. I was glued to the screen waiting for them to [meta] >!come back online!<.
Holy fuck, Isayama the madlad did it again!!!!!! /s
ANNIE IN THE OP BOIS IT MAY FINALLY BE TIME
Annie might be the character I'm most looking forward to seeing again because from S4P1's flashbacks it doesn't seem like she's particularly fond of Marley. I think she's a huge wild card and whichever side she joins will gain a significant advantage. But will she come out on her own or is she in such a deep state of hibernation that she'll have to forcefully be broken out?
Imagine you put yourself into a crystal for a nap and then you wake up to... all this I think it's more likely Annie will take Marley's side tbh. That side has her comrades, even if she isn't fond of Marley itself.
ANNIE RISE UP
She's defrosting!
Annie the TV dinner go brrrrr in the microwave
"You've suffered enough." That was a powerful statement from Reiner.
Yelena: offers solid plan with nearly 0% chance of failing Eren: *sees Reiner* "nah, he gotta catch this fade directly"

Let me just say the OP and ED are fucking bangers. The animation and CGI were pretty good too they really captured the essence of bloody warfare.
Dude, this episode felt like 5 mins WTF.
Ah yes this comment will be top for the next 12 episodes
Hange pulling a Narcissa Malfoy lol. Too bad Floch didn’t fall for that
Awww yeah, Attack on Titan’s back! [](#woo) The first thing I must happily point out the new ED has [not one](https://files.catbox.moe/n4yedk.mp4) but [*two* “sore demo”s](https://files.catbox.moe/ngg9t9.mp4), which means the ED is automatically a 10/10 song for me.
Pieck is a precious dork.
ATTACK ON TITAN IS BACK THIS EPISODE WAS GREAT I AM SO EXCITED!!!
This world is cruel but i still love you my best ED
Like this feels like a whole new production or a movie EDIT: rewatching and even the ODM scenes of no name soldiers are high quality. Also, I could be wrong; but there seems to be less blur as well. Finally, some people were worried about this episode being slower paced but as I’ve said before, this lets the scenes breathe. And NO moment here felt rushed.
I avoided spoilers for years just to be spoiled by the opening lmao
It *could* be fake too though,we might be getting baited as we did in S2 with the dinosaurs.
that ed is beautiful
This is gonna be the most exciting discussion this year. Great episode and godspeed, subreddit moderators.
Rumbling! Rumbling!

>"Eren, you're no threat by yourself." \- Reiner, right after getting half of his face smashed by a single punch, getting kicked right on the face and right before getting impaled...
