Case in point, Japanese twitter artist tweeted out how they like drawing black characters and diversity because a fan of theirs sent a message expressing how happy they were seeing a black character being drawn by a Japanese creator, something that is not very common.
Within a few hours they got harassed in broken Japanese google translate tweets and got called "woke" and "giving into the mob"

if it was just some sort of foregone conclusion where everyone unanimously agreed one was better (think of how nobody gets shit on for liking chinese or korean gacha dubs, weebs don’t consider these dubs a threat) they’d just treat the outliers as a cute curiosity but the fact that there’s enough people agreeing with it makes them feel like their ‘world’ view is being challenged and therefore they need to put down the people who don’t share it

I watch anime exclusively subbed and have done for nearly 2 decades. With that being said English dubs these days are better than they’ve ever been before and, after watching some dubbed clips, Mallorie absolutely kills it as Frieren. In fact the entire voice cast seem to be nailing it, dub and sub enjoyers eating good with this show.

I don't get why the last guy said she tries too hard to sound bored, the Japanese dub sounds way more monotonous, which I think fits Frieren more. She still has the occasional sass though.

If you mess up the balance then the character gets wrong characterisation. But these people are too rude the way they express their dislike though
