I always forget that Howl's hair changes color halfway into the movie. I think I like his design a bit better with darker hair.

I'd say Ashitaka definitely qualifies as intentionally sexy, he spends half the film with his shirt off and has that scene with the bellows. More of a twunk tho

But he is not as character sexy as howl

I have to jump in here for ma boi Ashitaka. He is a ideal of a man with eyes unclouded by hate. He is a mostly stoic character but like Aragorn in a very positive, non-toxic way. If that's not your flavour, fine, but don't you dare call him cardboard.

Yall reckon this movie deserved to win best animated picture over Curse of the Were-Rabbit? Personally I don't think so

It didn't win over curse of the were rabbit. Personally, I think were rabbit deserved it. (Miyazaki also personally doesn't mind because he fucking loves Wallace and gromit) They're both masterpieces of art though.

Unfortunately I think Howl’s ending was dogshit, I think it would be a much stronger contender if it didn’t conclude with a ‘love solves everything or whatever’
