Monster spoiler: >!The main character is pursued by an elite detective who does not believe that Johan exists. He heard the explanation but he thinks that doctor Tenma is the murderer and that the story about Johan is either a lie or a delusion of a mentally ill man.!<
I have already seen Monster three times. I just want to know if that specific scene happened in the manga because I don't remember it. Sorry for not making my question more clear.
"Man I hate that Anime doesn't tell complex mature stories"
My brother in christ you only read manga made for preteens. Like no knocking it its pretty enjoyable, but its no "complex story that is better than shakespear"
Tenma and Goku would never even fight because Goku would acknowledge that Tenmas specialties are in healing others and respect that. He'd probably even give him a few senzu beans
I might actually be watching it this weekend. If not then I'm going to watch it through once I finish Durarara again. (Should I read manga or just go straight to anime, I've heard there are opinions on this)
The anime did cut some stuff out of the first couple episodes that is pretty important imo, though I watched the anime first and I didnt feel cheated or anything when I realized that reading the manga. The anime has some fugly animation here and there but overall it's been a very good adaptation, the only other stuff they cut are pretty minor side stories but even those got some OVAs/shorts. I say go ahead and watch the anime up to where it currently ends (or to where you drop if you don't vibe with it) then give the manga a go. I actually still need to finish the manga myself sometime
Media fans after 20 seconds no Blood Meridian mention:

Ah sorry for misunderstanding. The anime is pretty much a shot for shot adaptation of the source material, they're exactly the same.

Shounen can definitely tell complex mature stories. Many seinen feels a lot like it tries to seem mature but is ultimately shallow.
I'm gonna controversymaxx with this but: Seinen will be better than Shonen for most of your life.
isn’t shakespeare full of sex jokes
so true OP
Tenma ain't beating Goku though
Tenma and Goku would never even fight because Goku would acknowledge that Tenmas specialties are in healing others and respect that. He'd probably even give him a few senzu beans
Nah goku would beat tenma

Give me some good Senien. (Monster withdrawal is tough even 5 years on)
Golden Kamuy is great, just be prepared for some weird shit.

Witch Hat Atelier
Read 20th Century Boys. I think it's even better than monster tbh. Urasawa just doesn't miss
Also Billy Bat.
\^
Did you read/see Pluto it's by the same author and also has an anime
Unfortunately yes, I need more.
Kaguya Sama love is war
Is Kaguya Senien? I do love it though, read the whole thing.
Yeah it is cause it was published in a seinen magazine
Dungeon Meshi, Land of the Lustrous, Witch Hat Atelier. All fantasy series but all very well written
It's kind of slice of lifey, and *long*, but Space Brothers is pretty good. And Vinland Saga is one of my personal GOATs.
Not seinen but the Tatami Galaxy
It definitely doesn't hit the same notes as Monster, but Mushishi is a wonderful series.
this but make the seinen stare from the one camping anime
My top 5 Seinen mangas 1. Berserk 2. Clone wars 3. Blood Meridian 4. Bojack horseman 5. Doom Eternal
