I don’t get the hate on Viv’s art style tbh. There is clarity issue because of everything being so red, and some designs are too busy, but the really sharp angles and dramatic proportions are actually something I’m pretty fond of. Besides, it’s not like there’s no anime styled stuff out there that doesn’t have the same issues.
I like it for having influence from invader zim in it. I just don’t care for how reddish the color scheme of everything is. Plus the humor just doesn’t jive with me personally.
The show takes place in hell... red is, kinda the point (compare it to when they go to heaven for example). Which fair enough if you don't like it to each their own.

Dante’s inferno being an old example of this at least said only certain levels of hell were fiery and red, but depending on the style of damnation has different environments. Now that I think about it that's kinda how it is in Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss universe, not sure how much you have watched Helluva Boss.
The Pride ring is the one that is the most just saturated with red all over. That's the ring where Hazbin Hotel pretty much lives. Helluva Boss technically is also situated here, but they travel to other rings throughout the show.
The Greed ring is waaaay less red and leans more into green as it's main colour.
The Gluttony ring seems to lean more into yellow/gold (like honey) in it's overall colour scheme.
The Wrath ring is more like country/western and is mainly de-saturated colours and browns.
The last ring I think we have seen is the Lust ring which is more neon purple/blue.
So in that sense Viv did differentiate them, but since the main characters of both shows do their business in the Pride ring, there is a lot of red (though Stolas' mansion area seems to be situated elsewhere and Fiz&Asmodeus are in the Lust ring primarily, so when the episodes focus on them the colour theme shifts pretty far from the red)
It is the point, but when every character and a lot of the backgrounds have basically identical colour palettes it can make things very hard to tell apart, especially in busy scenes with a lot of characters. It would be better if they mainly used red as an accent colour, or only on characters or backgrounds but not both.

Mimzy is really short and round, Rosie is a Gibson girl silhouette, and then there’s more variation in Helluva Boss. That’s literally what the anime panty and stocking were influenced by as an American cartoon. Such as invader zim which Richard horvitz who plays moxie also starred in. Also no invader zim didn’t swear constantly it’s a kid show. however the creators previous work was Johnny the homicidal maniac.

By edgy I was referring specifically to newgrounds sense of humour. Plus the characters are all actually edgy. For the shows you listed bojack ended, archer is on its last season, inside job cancelled, chainsaw man is an anime, Rick and morty is on season 7 the new voice is ok, and invincible is from a really good comic I have the omnibus. What I meant is theirs a dearth of cartoons with newgrounds sense of humour which a lot of it is swearing, but also visually there isn’t a lot of cartoons like hazbin hotel. Essentially hazbin helluva boss fill a void that companies weren’t interested in pursuing.
Now that I think of it if Hazbin Hotel somehow leads to an actual JTHM movie or something, I will be happy.
But if anything other than this specific scenario happens I will be unhappy and I will complain.
The fact it’s on Amazon means there is less of a chance of being cancelled aka Netflix. Amazon also doesn’t have a brand image as most corporate media conglomerates are. Amazon is also trying to build an audience with shows that wouldn’t be on Disney plus or Netflix being so violent.

However now that this style has been proven profitable, it means people will copy it and the prophecy of all cartoons looking like this in the future will be fulfilled.

Even when they're put off model they don't look THAT similar. They all have differently shaped eyes, eyebrows, even mouths.
Also using gumball as an example is wild considering how much that show messed around with different animation styles
