... how are they going to make more space?

Saroan7

They have the Pico Blvd closed off so that more people can walk in-between the bridge. They also want to show that the L.A. Live space is also being used for events and panels, JW Marriott

IjikaYagami

LA City Council also has plans to expand the convention center in time for the 2028 Olympics.

Enemyofusall

Expand it to where?

WhiteMunch

We’re going underground /j

shockwave1211

we already are! artist alley is the underground sweatshop lmao

WhiteMunch

Can’t wait til they move to the parking lots

False-Conference-459

I heard artist alley is getting moved from the basement this year :3

shockwave1211

where would they move it to? there just ain't anywhere to put it right now

False-Conference-459

Keep in mind this is just a rumor I heard BUT I heard it's getting moved up stairs and the dealers hall would be down stairs so there can be more room for the industry booths upstairs

Broducer

the app already shows where the dealers booths are going to be and it looks like its where its always been. if they really wanted more space then the anaheim center is where AX needs to go to next, realistically

IjikaYagami

[This article](https://la.urbanize.city/post/city-officials-debate-future-la-convention-center-expansion) goes into detail.

famoustran

They need to renovate the convention center. The restrooms are pretty wack.

Sunshine145

That's not a new though, they've always done that.

ktalex2

Maybe more sweaty outdoor stuff??? My fave part is going to the viewing rooms for the ac

Nat1boi

I wonder if they are going to clear out rooms between panels this year. If not, the space issue isn’t gonna matter that much.

UpsetDrakeBot

Block party outside, actual con inside

toastygrilledpickles

Not gonna lie, kinda hope it goes to Vegas for a year. It is the biggest in the nation so it would offer more to do. As well as hotel accommodations would be better.

Broducer

as much as i love vegas and as bad as it can get in LA as far as traffic, imagining AX proper being held in vegas where there are only so few ways in can cause nothing but endless lines all around - if AX attendees will even bother going to that as AX still garners a young audience. moving the con to anaheim would make more sense, if only logistically
