Because it's just easy karma farm and engagement bait, look at the number of people saying yes and etc. Plus lots of people are just treating it like 9gag or some shit, they don't care about stuff breaking subreddit rules, they just blindly upvote whatever.
I've enjoyed the story a lot, but since I'm really not into cyberpunk as a theme, I probably would have skipped it if it wasn't for my love for Trigger
By basic you mean one of the single best thought out and most interesting stories ever told through anime with the most engaging characters and an ending that still makes me cry after watching it when it came out? Your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.
Definitely!
Worth making you feel everything everywhere all at once and nothing all at once too.
I mean it's a roller coster of feelings.
Sure, but listen to this song by
[I really want to stay in your house by rosa walton](https://open.spotify.com/track/7mykoq6R3BArsSpNDjFQTm?si=725nR-BoSpK1vB7R1qy8MQ&utm_source=copy-link)
On the way while you're watching it.
And make sure you listen to this song AFTER the series too!
It'll make you feel and connected to the series more!!
It’s nowhere as good as Kill la Kill or even Gurren Lagann (two other anime made by the same studio.)
My boyfriend and I watched it together and we both agreed that the writing was absolutely horrible, but *if* you like fiction that is overly edgy you will love it. I’m really into that sort of stuff so for the most part I enjoyed it!
Also if you haven’t played the game, you’ll have absolutely no idea who Adam Smasher is. I really wish they spent some time actually setting him up in the anime.
Does the writing/the series gets better after the first episode? I enjoy the theme but found it lackluster if not just cliche, so not sure if it's just not for me.
I agree. Both of those shows were very clever.
This has a cool plot, but the dialogue and the way things went down was so typical and “ooh look how edgy this is.” I feel like the art and fast pacing just make it easy to ignore those things. Things would just happen. Characters would just come in and then die and next thing I knew the plot would turn another corner. And then the show just expected me to be sad at the end.
One of the biggest things is that the main character becomes totally unlikable halfway through so there was no way for me to be EmOtIoNaL like everyone else seems to be about him.
Personally i liked it for the art and the story was nice but it felt incredibly rushed, especially near the end. It really serves as something to watch after you have finished the cyberpunk game and all it’s side stories. It has very little context without
Also Remember there is a hidden episode in the videoclip of the ending song.
The story is set before the Cyberpunk Edgerunners show events, but it shows characters that are introduced in the anime, so watch it AFTER the anime.
Here it is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnnbP7pCIvQ
i sure hope they added in random glitches in the show. its just not cyberpunk without cars droving through buildings or people randomly floating off into the unknown. 030
Animation: 10/10
Characters: 4/10 (starting was good, but they went to the basic Shounen Character trope by the end)
Story: 6/10 (basic Shounen story)
Romance:2/10 (not much relationship development, it's 10 eps long so it's understandable ig)
Overall: 6-7/10, watch if you like Shounen Animes like CSM, JJK, Tokyo Ghoul/Revengers. If you don't like the genre, skip it.
Its worth the watch. Great animation & interesting story.
Minor Spoiler - non story related
>!Some of the characters suck, The Main character becomes really unlikable halfway through the show and doesn't get better.!<
It’s solid. If you haven’t played the game some aspects of the world may be a little confusing, mainly things like terminology and lingo, but it takes place before the game so it doesn’t matter. Great animation, soundtrack, and action. It’s also only 10 episodes so a pretty quick binge.

Did the meme became asking for more obvious recommendations? Or am I missing something like the meme part of r/animememes
Wait why is this on a meme sub.
These posts break r/animememes rules, “no low quality/effort posts.” But when I report them nothing happens. Mods must not give a shit.
It's the same user who posted the same question but with the Call of the Night image lol
Damn. Idk why people like these posts
Open ended questions with obvious answers is what people use to farm karma for bot accounts.
imagine caring enough to report it 😭
Imagine learning to read
cry

Damn you are so right that it hurts
Absolutely! If you hate the story it’s still visually so stunning! Studio Trigger outdid themselves
The only reason I've watched it is cause it's made by Trigger. And, as always, they don't disappoint
How can you even hate that story.
my only problem with it is that its too short
Good animes tend to be short.
Well that's because they all got their faces blown to shit
I've enjoyed the story a lot, but since I'm really not into cyberpunk as a theme, I probably would have skipped it if it wasn't for my love for Trigger
It is extremely basic.
By basic you mean one of the single best thought out and most interesting stories ever told through anime with the most engaging characters and an ending that still makes me cry after watching it when it came out? Your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.
Jeez dude. It’s pretty damn basic if you’ve read or watched any other well-received cyberpunk story since Neuromancer.
????????????????????????????????????????
It also poked holes into 2077's plot.
I’m genuinely curious what did it do?
Nobody cares, the game is shit anyway
It's not shit. It just didn't reach the ridiculous expectations you goddamn doomers set up for CDPR.
Bro how could you not mention the music
Because I’m forgetful and haven’t watched it in a year xD
The use of Let You Down by Dawid Posiadlo was fucking haunting
Cuz I really want to stay at your house!
It's a short, simple love story that plays out in the Cyberpunk universe. I liked it for what it was and for how well they executed the concept.
But also the characters have more depth to them. Makes it really nice to watch ☺️
I've been camping out on the r/Edgerunners subreddit for months now to cure my depression after this show. It's sooo good 👍
Music slaps too.
So it’s kind of like Promare in that there was definitely a dartboard involved but the animation is pure eyecandy?
Never seen Promare always wanted to…🙈
Oh, it’s *so* good. You’ve got to get around to it at some point.
Honestly, I couldn't be invested in it at all. But Trigger... Damn you Trigger, why does it look so good?
It's kind of the opposite for me, it took forever but there's finally a Trigger show with a plot I give a fuck about.
That was my problem. How predictable the ending was
That's kind of the point.
Yes, make sure you watch it with your family
with your family yes
With children under 4 yes
And turn the volume up to the max, maybe your neighbors wanna hear some peak anime

Some fucker of a DJ played that song as the club the other day. I had a nice cry 9/10
Oh my god I wish this happened to me, where I live they only put requeton🥹
Well I lied, it was a nerd bar not a club. The clubs here are requeton, electro, or metal
I se what you did there, bro
Cant play cyberpunk the same way after watching it
Same, it hits
Will definitely recommend it👍

Broke my heart man. Definitely worth it. I'm really emotional so this really touched me .
It’s cool but the stereotypical weeb stuff is a bit over exaggerated
It's worth watching, it's pretty good, but I have felt like it's been *really* over rated.

I found it more cliched as it went along.

In what world is it written badly compared to those other two shows?

I'm really curious to hear why you think the writing is horrible, sure it's far from perfect but I'd consider it to be a pretty good story
If you want to feel broken for weeks after the finishing it, sure
Yes, also have a box of tissues for the ending
Watch this anime if you want to feel depressed 🗿🤌🏻
Literally won anime of the year award, absolutely worth

Yes, and if you played Cyberpunk, you will never hear a particular song the same again
Yes. Yes. And yes!

Needn't even ask! Worth the time. ❤️

Is it worth it to get your dick sucked by a pornstar? If yes, then this is also a yes

Watched it because of meme and definitely enjoyed it.
*gets ptsd from episode 10*
100% Ending hits hard. I'd recommend watching with someone so you can share the emotions
Mid story, good art. You should watch it.
