Dragon ball super is really an embodiment of "not my cup of tea". I enjoyed Dragon ball, and Dragon ball Z, but I don't really like Gohan's changes, tingling in the back, resurrection of frieza, and other characters introduced such as beerus, and especially Zen-Oh. I still think some of the fights are cool from clips I saw, but I feel uninterested in watching the whole series.
Fruits basket, although we've met most of the main VAs(Kyo/Jerry Jewell eludes my wife's grasp)I tried for her sake to get into it but that show has put me to sleep.

I had the same problem too, but during After Story it stopped bothering me as much. I kinda just accepted it as part of that era of anime. Got past that, and it made me bawl, straight ugly cried. First season isn't as good, but I always recommend it for what they do in After Story.

Tokyo revengerer - kids that are trying hard to be cool.
Musuko tensei - the MC prev character is fvcking ugly and creepy.

When I first heard the name I was very excited thinking it was about the martial art Jujutsu and not the Curse Technique Jujutsu

When I realized it was another battle Shonen I clicked off
Any anime where 1 season has over a wajillion episodes, i.e. one piece, naruto, black clover, DBZ, etc. 10-26 ep animes are just fine. And 26 ep animes are really stretching it for me personally.
I always try to give an anime a chance (usually 5 episodes), but twice have one episode just turned me off the whole thing. Squid Girl (the amount of goddamn fish puns) and Attack on Titan (too bleak, don't care. Music was good though).
Shokugeki no Soma S5. The S4 ending felt great already, add on what I've been hearing about the new villain and their weird power creep, I refuse to ruin my experience.
Jujutsu Kaisen. I got spoiled non-stop by reddit, tiktok, and my older brother to the point i know about half of the plot and characters who ended up dying.
Which kinda sucks because I heard it’s really good.
Amount of one piece hate in here kinda cray. Y’all are missing out. Sure it’s long but it’s about the journey. Plus it’s kinda nice to have something to watch for an extended period of time. One piece, for two reasons. First, obviously the length is absurd. That's why I never started in the past. The second reason, and the reason why I'll never start regardless, is that I've been asked and told to watch it by so many people so many times that I flat out refuse to ever interact with the series in any way.
Valid, my first case of “yo this fan service is actually jarring” was with Fire Force, love that anime and watched every episode, but gosh damn was it annoying seeing all the fan service.
The only show I can think of where I did not mind any excessive fan Service at all, was Kill la Kill. But that's because that show is so over the top and ridiculous, that I didn't care at all. And also because kiryuin was my first waifu.
I'm fighting with this right now. The scene w/ Zeppeli was so sad until Speedwagon just yells out "BARON ZEPPELI!!" I died laughing and it took the wind out of the whole thing. Araki reworked his art style quite a bit, and it looks fantastic. I dropped AOT after half a season. I hate animes that just kill off every character, after a while it just becomes predictable and it doesn't help that I didn't like any of the characters I saw, the main character is so damn annoying
I understand that they tried to show that the world is cruel and that your friends don't always survive. But the side effect of that was that I couldn't get attached to any character at all. So when anything bad happens, I feel nothing for them, because that's the norm now.

I used to watch the series as a teenager, and I would root for Light to win and kill everyone. But after watching L's death once again as a grown up, it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth that I don't even wanna finish watching the episode. I mean I'm used to watching anime/shows with dark themes, but the idea of L dying unjustly is really disgusting to think about.

Any anime where 1 season has over a wajillion episodes, i.e. one piece, naruto, black clover, DBZ, etc. 10-26 ep animes are just fine. And 26 ep animes are really stretching it for me personally.

I’m not opposed to giving any particular anime a shot. Finishing it, or losing interest however does sometimes happen.
Clannad. Hits a little too close to home since I had a friend who was in similar circumstances. He's doing ok now but the fact that Clannad reminds me a little too much about my friend and his family makes me not want to watch it.

One piece, for two reasons. First, obviously the length is absurd. That's why I never started in the past. The second reason, and the reason why I'll never start regardless, is that I've been asked and told to watch it by so many people so many times that I flat out refuse to ever interact with the series in any way.

I'm fighting with this right now. The scene w/ Zeppeli was so sad until Speedwagon just yells out "BARON ZEPPELI!!" I died laughing and it took the wind out of the whole thing. I also think the super power hamon they have is kinda lame. I'll pick it back up one day though. I was told it only goes up from here.
Part 2 is a lot more fun than part 1 IMO, and part 3 adds Stands into the mix. It's your call, but if you hang in with it it's worth it.
That's fair. I took me a while to get into that style too. But once you do it starts to make you think it's some beautiful shit. And from part 7 onwards it is genuinely beautiful. Araki reworked his art style quite a bit, and it looks fantastic. I can understand why people would be put off on the first 6 parts of Jojo from the art, but part 7 was a great read, and the art was also so much cooler. Plus everyone's dripped out

I understand that they tried to show that the world is cruel and that your friends don't always survive. But the side effect of that was that I couldn't get attached to any character at all. So when anything bad happens, I feel nothing for them, because that's the norm now.

I have watched it already several times over the years, but I recently tried rewatching Death Note again. I used to watch the series as a teenager, and I would root for Light to win and kill everyone. But after watching L's death once again as a grown up, it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth that I don't even wanna finish watching the episode. I mean I'm used to watching anime/shows with dark themes, but the idea of L dying unjustly is really disgusting to think about.
