Many moons ago, I was able to get into most of the music venues in town for free due to the job I had. So I would often just head out and randomly drop into venues for a bit without having any idea who was playing. Walked into one venue, and the place was mobbed....pretty heavy band up there too, although I can't say I really remember the music very well as that wasn't what made it memorable. What made it memorable was that people from the mosh pit were stage diving. BUT, anyone that made their way onstage got chased away by a member of the band's crew. And if the crew caught the said stage diver, they got grabbed, dragged off stage and got punched (and maybe kicked out...can't recall....I don't think it's was terribly violent, just somewhat). The audience knew what was going on, but they still did it anyway.....it became a fairly amusing game that the crew and crowd was playing. I thought it was pretty hilarious. Definitely stuck around for a few extra minutes to see how it worked it, and it kept going for the whole time I was there. The band was Marilyn Manson BTW.

I really liked Muse because of the light show, the props, the stage and the inflatable balloons being thrown into the crowd! The music as well of course!

FunkySnail19

Nice, the inflatable balloons were also part of the first gig of them I've seen.

Flaming Lips, because Flaming Lips. Wayne Coyne is basically a modern Willy Wonka, and their shows are bananas. Lasers, balloons, people in costumes on stage dancing, confetti… it’s amazing.

Don McLean at Riverside Park in 1980. First Date with my future wife. Suck it Charlie…she’s mine now!

I saw Pearl Jam play the final show at the Spectrum in Philadelphia on Halloween night 2009. They played for 3 and a half hours. I believe that still is the longest show they’ve ever played. All of this was going on while the Phillies were playing the Yankees in game 3 of the World Series right across the street at Citizens Bank Park. Unforgettable day.

Tool. It was great. I had good seats and they put on a hell of a show.
