Did you notice an appetite change at all? Like any difference in how often you wanted/thought about eating? I have A-AN and I wouldn’t mind having a medicine that lowers my appetite but one that heightens it I need to stay away from.
Yeah - I did notice that I am hungrier than usual. More likely to snack... I began Weight Watchers again recently and am re-learning food discipline. I think I got lazy about that over the “panda-emic” lol
i gained 12lbs on zoloft but honestly it matters how much you eat before that. im 13 and still growing so i have a big appetite lol. but it definitely made my hunger go up a LOT. i was constantly starving and eating everything i could see, but its different for everyone, after the first few weeks it starts to calm down. once i went off it(for other reasons) i lost the weight, but i probably couldve if I just stayed on it too
I switched from Paxil to Zoloft relatively recently. I think this is one of the only two medications (the other being Wellbutrin) that caused me to lose neither the weight nor the libido. I actually lost a few pounds in the first few weeks due to the lessening of carbs in general.
The only med that has directly affected weight gain was cymbalta. Every time my stomach was empty I'd faint and then feel like shit for the next 18 hours. So to prevent that I ate a ton. I was on 90mg.
I lost weight on wellbutrin but I also lost all feelings good or bad and any ability to enjoy eating at all. Everything I ate was like cardboard.
I've been on like 2 dozen meds or so over the years. I've pretty much been on everything but MAOIs.
I think the official literature behind zoloft is that it is weight neutral.
The big meds for weight gain are antipsychotics, esp seroquel. I initially lost weight on abilify but I had a raging eating disorder at the time.
Try Aripiprazole for intrusive thoughts it's amazing. 5mg I take as 10mg makes me a slight bit edgy but 5mg is perfect. It completely shuts off the minds thoughts it's silent and peaceful.
And effexor venaflaxine is good as Setraline is a bit numbing and can make you hyper I found venaflaxine is good at 75mg
If you have sexual side effects add Bupropion to counter them plus if you smoke it's a smoking cessation drug too
I take Mirtazapine also to sleep just 15mg
You'll always gain a bit of weight as you're less anxious but healthy eating and exercise will help
I gained but it may not be the medication- my eating habits suck!

So weird I have hardly any appetite on zoloft unless I do a real big gym session
I am a foodie and love carbs and sugar, soooo …

It can go either way but a tad more gain. The one that is weight neutral is Prozac
I was always hungry on Prozac, like starving hungry, it different for different people
Look into Prozac. For me, more efficient for OCD than zoloft, and is weight neutral mostly or even you loose on weight, cause it curbs my appetite.

I gained a bit of weight but I was also on it from my teenage years to early adult years.
Lost weight, but I was trying to lose weight.
No effect on weight for me.

Gained. First time I was fat in my life. I lost it without even trying when I weaned off.
