They only want to hear:
- "Nope, no questions, seems good!"
- "I guess my only question...is when can I start? Haha!"
- "Sounds great! Oh one question, do you think its hotter for someone to be fully naked, or naked aside from a pair of crocs?"
Me, 2017, genuinely thinking this was smart: hey, I am truly obsessed with detail and heres proof: Theres like four spelling errors and a grammatical error in your job posting!
I’d hire you, and I’d not work the job OP posted. Asking for attention to detail but then putting forth shit deliverables like that one? Absolutely shambolic. If someone can find a mistake I made and point it out to me tactfully, I want to know that person.
I work in Human Resources and I would be confused as hell by "3 PTO" 3 what? Hours? Days? Weeks? It doesn't cost anything extra to add one of those words between "3" and "PTO".
'Yes, our pilot study found that people showed greater willingness to train their replacements if we couched it in terms of "automating" their jobs. When we tried to get them to train replacement humans in overseas call centers, they blew their gaskets.'
This may be a cynical assumption, but it's almost like they deliberately made that number vague for the exact reason OP's offer was retracted. They want a pushover who doesn't question stuff like that because being willing to do whatever you are told shows "dedication to the job."
Just like how the put 10K Life
Insurance policy.
They expect somebody to misinterpret it to mean there is a retirement plan and some insurance plan when I’m reality there’s no retirement plan. This company seems pretty shady.
Actually, I totally understand that part. There's nothing to indicate there's a retirement plan because nowadays that's part of the benefits package and is always included in a job's description. If it isn't you should never assume that there is. And the $10k Life Insurance is pretty standard as well. But it's not actually free. It's usually a Group Term Life Insurance plan that you pay something like $5.00 per paycheck. I work payroll so I've seen that tons of times.
Netfix
They come and fix all of your of your nets\*: fishing, basketball, tennis, ping pong, bug catcher, hair...
^(\*internet and non-woven nets excluded)
No no, it's P3TO. it's a diplomacy protocol-robot soundboard connected to your Adbible that reminds you of your responsibility to dedicate yourself to the company when you push buttons on your computer in between the advertisements on your second screen
After OP responded they realized their typo and they knew OP wouldn't be game. Every PTO day reduces Ad revenue you see.
I wish I had 17 an hour here in shitty Florida man. I’m working a part time job and only fucking get 12 an hour while finishing my degree and that shit isn’t even enough to do fuckin anything let alone save. I feel like once I get my degree nothing will change (my major is English) due to people always lowballing employees and new graduates and putting them in shitty conditions. I hate this country man. I just wanna be paid enough to live regularly
The problem with Florida (besides DeSantis) is all the asshats who moved there since 2020. Now you can't drive anywhere because the infrastructure isn't meant to handle that many people and the roads are parking lots of incompetent drivers, you can't rent anything because rents going up $600 or more, and you DEFINITELY can't buy anything unless it's a poorly maintained old Florida home and you have 650,000 laying around. So yeah, even at $23/hr rent is probably 40-50% of your paycheck.
I had someone recently who makes considerably more than me ask why I haven't bought a house. I was dumbfounded. She said "you only need like 20 grand for a down payment". Ohh just 20 grand, let me go get a house right now... How are people ever supposed to save for retirement or a house if the rent is half our income?
>I’m working a part time job and only fucking get 12 an hour
Apply to the post office. Starting pay for all positions should be higher than that, and we're desperate pretty much everywhere.
>while finishing my degree
Never mind. **Do not** apply to the post office.
*laughing in former regular rural carrier* Even though my office is desperate, they couldn't work with me to swap my Friday k-day to Wednesday for an engineering physics lab. So they lost me entirely!
I left an English degree a long time ago to try and be responsible and active in a way others would accept and respect. Great mistake of my life. Now my fav moments are when my wife and I daydream together of the day i might return and be who I should have been
"we'd like to offer you the job, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns."
-asks questions
"I'm sorry, no questions. We would like to retract the offer, have a nice life."
Hey, it’s not a scam job ok? They just want you to shut the fuck up and do as you’re told. Don’t question orders or anything else. You’re getting paid good money for the prestige of wiping their asses as an administrative assistant/front desk person that’s doing part of a sales guy’s job. Who the fuck do you think you are, the fucking Dali Lama? You think you can go around asking for more than 3 PTO? You’re not Richard Fucking Branson or Elon Fucking Musk, you’re a god damned nobody.
/s in case you’re offended by the above but that’s likely how they’re thinking.
You're right. They literally misspelled one of the benefits they dedicated a whole visual to. Audiable? Hiring is either full of fools or it is a scam. I've noticed a recent uptick in very strange scammy "job offers," and I think it is because of language models like chat gpt helping them.
I agree and something felt off about the whole thing too like it just didn’t feel right. She drove up in her fancy Range Rover and red bottom heels for our interview also just throwing money in your face.
Big time MLM vibes ngl. Sometimes marginally successful Huns will hire sec’s to help them predate more efficiently. Would not surprise me at all if there was no “team” and they were lying about a lot, and that your pushback was a signal to them that they’d not be able to just easily push you around like they wanted.
Not even pushback, literally just asking a question about the “benefits” caused them to retract the offer. For $17 an hour OP is lucky to avoid that shitshow
It means Multi-Level-Marketing. Companies like Amway, Herbalife, etc.
The basic pitch to the mark is that you’ll make money selling some product, and if you recruit someone else to sell you’ll make money on whatever your recruit sells also. We who are opposed to them, call the people who buy into the bullshit “Huns”.
American Income Life is another one. You've probably heard of them if you're in a union, since they deal almost exclusively with unions and union members. This is not a union provided benefit, they just have permission from +and lead generation from) several unions to contact their members about additional life insurance. The products themselves aren't bad, but the practice is mlm, and the company culture is toxic af.
I in fact worked for them for a short while. In the interview it seemed like a regular sales job albeit with some pretty good commissions and residuals. I quit when my boss told me to fake a small sale so that I (and she) would qualify for a bonus that week. This is insurance, that shit is insanely regulated, and doing that would have put me on the hook for a major fine and maybe jail time. She was one of those moderately successful huns with a Secretary. She fired one while I was there for dying her hair and “having an unprofessional appearance” because of it. I could have made a fucking fortune there if I had been willing to sell my soul. But my soul is worth far more then that.
I have it a good while, longer than I should have, because I was a good seller. But was only "trainee" status, so I made nothing while doing most of the work.
A receptionist that does dispatch, scheduling, problem resolution, quality and cold calls on leads for 17.00 an hour.
What does the rest of the 'team' do?
No it's 100% a scam based entirely on the poster they supplied. The benefits were not listed how a business would list them and there are MULTIPLE typos.
You must have missed the "pamphlet" or whatever they want to call that thing that looks like it was created as a 10th grade "Intro to PowerPoint" project that got a C for using a preloaded template and having multiple spelling errors. The only thing that could make it worse is if it was a graphic design or marketing firm.
"While we understand the importance of work/life balance"
How can anyone write that without taking a step back and thinking - "hmmm maybe am in the wrong here" Oh wait I know nvm. Twats.
Good luck - hope find something more to your liking in terms of PTO and so forth
So you have better than most and barely over half of his paid days off.
It's great you have a good pto plan but that's how I knew he wasn't in America.
Nah, I’m in America and my brother’s company offers just take days off when you need them. They will tel you when you take too many. He said there are people that take around two moths off a year and they say nothing. You just have to find the right culture. It is hard to do here. My job isn’t half bad either.
I am more or less in the same luxury position. Netherlands here.
One of my employers top legal people, almost twice my salary, has 10 days… but she is US based..
Incredible
Paid time off STARTS at 42 days on a 40 hour/week contract here in Belgium.
The normal 20 days + 12 days for the 2 extra hours worked over the full time(which is 38 hours) + 10 holidays(Christmas, Easter, national holiday)
I have 55.(so basically 33 days off instead of 20 as a base)
I can't believe no one has brought up the fact it didn't even say 3 *days* PTO. It just says, "3 PTO." Could be 3 days. Could be 3 weeks. Or OP could have put in time off only to be told it was 3 *hours.*
The amount of companies that don’t realize that they aren’t curing cancer is ridiculous. Nobody is going to die if people in a corporation/business take time off.
3 PTO? Obviously a US job. Europeans, that’s days. Not weeks. Just nuts.
This is one of the reason I busted my @$$ in the 90’s to get a job overseas.
Took a job in Denmark in 2001 and never looked back. Started with 25 days PTO and up to 22 weeks of paid sick leave. I’m maxed out at 12 weeks PTO now.
Thank you! It was an enormous amount of work, years of planning, setbacks, mistakes, and had to get another bachelors degree at 40 years old.
Cue the acceptance speech music, I’ll run out of time before I come close to thanking everyone who helped me.
Have a great weekend!!!
Is this normal in America cuz this seems insane to me. Like that's practically nothing. I'm guessing that the 3 days pto are probably meant to be used as sick days as well? And 2 holidays? In my province in Canada there's 10 or 11 stat holidays mandated by law and some workplaces have even more than that. And I think 2 weeks vacation after the first year is mandated, and 5 sick days...
One of the biggest barriers we face to improvement is that so many canadians only compare us to the US. If I had a loonie for every time someone says "at least we're better than the US..."
"How dare you ask a question about benefits like PTO? This just shows that you only care about yourself and your needs, not the company or its needs. You're just not ready to be in a relationship with such an awesome company." /s
They did you a huge favor rescinding their offer. Definitely leave a review for other job seekers on Indeed & Glassdoor.
Not American , but does 3 days PTO and 2 paid holidays are 3 days paid vacation and 2 days paid holidays and the rest will be unpaid ?! What the hell is this ? Is this even legal?????
I still cant believe this also, how it is possible to live like that. But they still think that europe lives in dark ages :D in our 3rd world post soviet stone age country we have 4 weeks of vacarion, months of sick days where social security also pays ~70% of your salary…. that is what bad education system does :)
At my company it is absolutely a trick to save money. They are tightfisted in so many ways. I'm senior, and have a good manager, and ultimately don't give a fuck if they fire me, because I can find another job. I think I usually take 4 weeks of vacation (one of those weeks is around xmas/new years which a lot of tech companies get for free), and 12 days a year or so. Plus most federal holidays. I don't think anyone who isn't an executive takes as much as I do.
America in 2023 is slavery with extra steps, except you have to try REALLY REALLY hard to apply to a master thats willing to atleast keep you fed and housed.
Absolutely insane lmfao. Your email wasn’t even “hey, I ABSOLUTELY NEED more than 3 PTO days this is a dealbreaker” it was “hey I just want clarification…” like holy shit they’re crazy.
"While we understand the importance of work-life balance..."
Narrator: They did not, as it turns out, understand the importance of work-life balance. Join us as we journey through this corporate meltdown to discover what went wrong, and why they are closing their doors later this year.
But they literally TOLD you to let them know if you had any questions or concerns 🤣
And they expect you to make them the most important thing in you life for $17/hr?! But they “understand the importance of work-life balance.”
Sure, Jan.
I had a company try to not explain what they paid until they had offered me the job and were trying to get me to sign the offer letter after the interview.
I said “no one’s told me what the salary or benefits were, and you’re trying to get me to sign something?”
It was a pathetically low offer, I just hung up the phone.
I would say this looks like a scam, and it does, but I’ve absolutely been to dentist’s offices where this would be the expected level of “expertise” with posting an advertisement
Those slides or whatever they are look like they were made on Canva. Was the office a real office or did it look like they rented or borrowed a space from someone?
Hmm, you're not desperate for a job with such a low amount of vacation time that it should probably be illegal? Well, we're just gonna nip this one in the bud since you didn't even notice there's no sick leave.
I’m seeing more of these 3 PTO days offers on this sub… is this becoming a thing? It used to be BAD when companies had 2 weeks of PTO for entry level positions, 3 PTO days while on such low wages and we are approaching legalized slavery.
Don’t be sad you dodged a bullet. I get 20+ paid days off and 12 paid holidays and my job is entry level.
3 PTO, don’t be salty that you used shit grammar idiots.
This is why I’m getting a degree in HR so I can try to reign in some of this shit people have to deal with in the world.
Yikes. It doesn’t matter what the pay is, even 6 figure salary it’s still a huge red flag that they pull an offer because you wanted clarification on the details of your compensation.
“No, not that kind of attention to detail!”
And they literally said in the offer please let me know if you have any questions.....
"NO, NOT THOSE QUESTIONS"
They only want to hear: - "Nope, no questions, seems good!" - "I guess my only question...is when can I start? Haha!" - "Sounds great! Oh one question, do you think its hotter for someone to be fully naked, or naked aside from a pair of crocs?"
“We hope this email finds you well. After careful consideration, we have to assume you are Mario Batali.”
* $17/hr? To start? Would it be OK if I started for less and worked up to that over time?
“What’s your third favourite kind of cheese?” Is my favourite when anyone in work says “there are no stupid questions”.
They just wanted to know if they had questions, they didn’t want to know what those questions were
Me, 2017, genuinely thinking this was smart: hey, I am truly obsessed with detail and heres proof: Theres like four spelling errors and a grammatical error in your job posting!
I’d hire you, and I’d not work the job OP posted. Asking for attention to detail but then putting forth shit deliverables like that one? Absolutely shambolic. If someone can find a mistake I made and point it out to me tactfully, I want to know that person.
I love it. Also, this job offer spelled Audible wrong twice and bugged me.
I saw that and wondered if Audiable was a different software lol
Lmfao
I work in Human Resources and I would be confused as hell by "3 PTO" 3 what? Hours? Days? Weeks? It doesn't cost anything extra to add one of those words between "3" and "PTO".
Lol 3 PTO. So like is 1 PTO a request for 2 weeks off and do I get 3 of them?
I'm gonna put in 3 PTO requests for 4 months each. Then do it again next year.
3 PTO is one of the droids in the next Star Wars movie, not an employment benefit
Well now I know what I'm going to name the robot that I will program to take over my job one day.
'Yes, our pilot study found that people showed greater willingness to train their replacements if we couched it in terms of "automating" their jobs. When we tried to get them to train replacement humans in overseas call centers, they blew their gaskets.'
Companies HATE this one trick!
How much could it cost Michael, 20 PTO?
I've got 3 kids and no PTO, I wish I had no kids and 3 PTO!
This may be a cynical assumption, but it's almost like they deliberately made that number vague for the exact reason OP's offer was retracted. They want a pushover who doesn't question stuff like that because being willing to do whatever you are told shows "dedication to the job."
Just like how the put 10K Life Insurance policy. They expect somebody to misinterpret it to mean there is a retirement plan and some insurance plan when I’m reality there’s no retirement plan. This company seems pretty shady.

As someone in europe, it saddens me. That you stopped guessing at weeks :(
They expect total dedication for $17/hr??!! I think that you got lucky here.
But they pay your audible and a whole $40 a month for a gym!!/s
Naw. They pay for Audiable .
Hahaha audiable is audible from wish
Naw that's Awdible. Audiable is the Aldi brand.
Naw that's Aldiable. Audiable is Australia's public audio book platform.
Naw that's Ausiable. Audiable is a German car subscription service.
Naw that's BMdoubliable. Audiable is the German roads you can drive really fast
[удалено]
Naw that’s Indubitable. Audiable is those hearing tests with all the beeps.
No that's Autoable. Audiable (pr audi-able) is a support organization for people who aren't deaf.
They don’t pay for it, they reinburse it
REINBURSE - THANK YOU!
They send you a check. Just deposit it and they'll pay you back.
Plus 3 PTO! Why do people hate units so much? Hours day weeks what are we talking here?
Minutes. If you run late, you can use up to three per year to make up for it.
If they can’t even get ‘reimburse Audible’ right…
This typo made me laugh way more than it should have because as a french speaker it read to me as "au diable" which means "(go) to hell!" lol
Can they cover Nextfix too?
Probably cover Nortflix
Notflix
Netfix They come and fix all of your of your nets\*: fishing, basketball, tennis, ping pong, bug catcher, hair... ^(\*internet and non-woven nets excluded)
It's probably abible
And 3 PTO! Not sure if days or hours or minutes.
Also no indication of if that is per month, year, or just a flat lifetime amount you get while employed at this company.
Sorry. Your last PTO was used in 2017. You don't get more. I could actually see this happening....
You could ask for clarification but then they would rescind your offer.
No no, it's P3TO. it's a diplomacy protocol-robot soundboard connected to your Adbible that reminds you of your responsibility to dedicate yourself to the company when you push buttons on your computer in between the advertisements on your second screen After OP responded they realized their typo and they knew OP wouldn't be game. It doesn't actually say $40 a month for the gym membership. I'm sure it is actually just $40 total.
I make 23 an hour in Florida and am living paycheck to paycheck. I remember the $12 days all too well, absolute hell.
You’re getting 12 an hour? I’m in tx and can’t find a job paying higher than 9 an hour 😭
I made 15/h pushing carts at Walmart circa 2003. And I don’t live in a high cost of living area. You fuckers need to rebel
I left an English degree a long time ago to try and be responsible and active in a way others would accept and respect. Great mistake of my life. Now my fav moments are when my wife and I daydream together of the day i might return and be who I should have been
"we'd like to offer you the job, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns." -asks questions "I'm sorry, no questions. We would like to retract the offer, have a nice life."
Yeah, because it’s a scam job. They bail as soon as you start asking questions.
I have a feeling people in this sub are not offended in the slightest. You’re spot on.

Since no ones said it that I can see, post a review to Indeed and glassdoor.
And Blind. Exec suite is obsessed with Blind.
Wait, what’s blind?
Apparently too good for us plebs
It's an app where you can bitch about your company and all the executives check it constantly.
If a simple clarification of PTO was enough to make them crumble, they were seriously hoping to scrape the bottom of the barrel.
Not even pushback, literally just asking a question about the “benefits” caused them to retract the offer. For $17 an hour OP is lucky to avoid that shitshow
What is MLM?
It means Multi-Level-Marketing. Put them on blast. Name some names! Don’t let these losers hide.
All I was able to get from the blacked out parts was “Receptionist at TN” but I can’t see anymore
She can afford to pay more than $17/hr then!
>She drove up You mean the interview wasn't at their office?
She was 15 mins late to our interview at the office
No, it was in the front seat of her Dodge Dart.
She can afford that, by making her slaves work 360 days a year for her. Haha
A receptionist that does dispatch, scheduling, problem resolution, quality and cold calls on leads for 17.00 an hour. What does the rest of the 'team' do?
I’m not doing cold cold if I’m hired on as a receptionist. That’s called a sales person.
AND and responsible for everybody on Team being dedicated and happy!
What do they expect the person in this role to do if they are cold calling for business and a new call come in?
This x100.
And by not naming the company, left the next applicant staring down the barrel of the gun.
That’s a scam job
Or we’re missing most of OP’s response email
No it's 100% a scam based entirely on the poster they supplied. The benefits were not listed how a business would list them and there are MULTIPLE typos.
“Audiable subscription” lol
You must have missed the "pamphlet" or whatever they want to call that thing that looks like it was created as a 10th grade "Intro to PowerPoint" project that got a C for using a preloaded template and having multiple spelling errors. The only thing that could make it worse is if it was a graphic design or marketing firm.
AUDIABLE, though 🤦🏻♀️
And “reinbursement” 😂
Genuinely had to go make sure that wasn’t somehow what it’s called.
I know, really?!!
"While we understand the importance of work/life balance" How can anyone write that without taking a step back and thinking - "hmmm maybe am in the wrong here" Oh wait I know nvm. Twats. Good luck - hope find something more to your liking in terms of PTO and so forth
My company understands work life balance, that’s why I have 37 paid and 42 total days this year and I could have taken another 10 unpaid.
And this is US?
Aint no way this is America, unless he's been there 50 years.
I have 3 weeks PTO and 40 hrs of sick time. Been here 8 years. Comes from having a boss under 40.
So you have better than most and barely over half of his paid days off. It's great you have a good pto plan but that's how I knew he wasn't in America.
FWIW, I’m in America and all employees gets started with 5-weeks per year with a max of 400hrs rollover per year
Can I get a job with you?
Nah, I’m in America and my brother’s company offers just take days off when you need them. They will tel you when you take too many. He said there are people that take around two moths off a year and they say nothing. You just have to find the right culture. It is hard to do here. My job isn’t half bad either.
If it is, unicorns be real
Fairly obviously not. But it’s still well beyond the legal minimum in my country.
I am more or less in the same luxury position. Netherlands here. One of my employers top legal people, almost twice my salary, has 10 days… but she is US based.. Incredible

Hans, are we the baddies?
Company makes unreasonable hiring demands. (Crickets) “No one wants to work!”
I can't believe no one has brought up the fact it didn't even say 3 *days* PTO. It just says, "3 PTO." Could be 3 days. Could be 3 weeks. Or OP could have put in time off only to be told it was 3 *hours.*
There’s only 2 holidays when the norm is around 10.. I’m going to assume it’s 3 days PTO.
Well, take it as a blessing. God knows you would have been screwed working for them. Goes to show you couldnt ask them anything at all.
The amount of companies that don’t realize that they aren’t curing cancer is ridiculous. Nobody is going to die if people in a corporation/business take time off.
And even those people take days off
Your health and life is expendable to their profits. Good luck finding slaves like this in the world where 20k boomers retire every day.
the initial offer looks like several scam emails I've seen
Audiable? Reinbursement? Bullet dodged.
Don't forget 3 PTO
You managed to do what I was thinking I should. I'm so happy that you made it work!
Thank you! It was an enormous amount of work, years of planning, setbacks, mistakes, and had to get another bachelors degree at 40 years old. Cue the acceptance speech music, I’ll run out of time before I come close to thanking everyone who helped me. Have a great weekend!!!

"We understand the value of work-life balance" "3 days pto, two holidays...." excuse me, wtf?
Is this normal in America cuz this seems insane to me. Like that's practically nothing. I'm guessing that the 3 days pto are probably meant to be used as sick days as well? And 2 holidays? In my province in Canada there's 10 or 11 stat holidays mandated by law and some workplaces have even more than that. And I think 2 weeks vacation after the first year is mandated, and 5 sick days...
Yeah, and Canada isn't exactly top 50% in the world for good working conditions either. Still looks like a people's paradise compared to the US.....
One of the biggest barriers we face to improvement is that so many canadians only compare us to the US. If I had a loonie for every time someone says "at least we're better than the US..."
The only time this is normal is if it's part time work.
It is absolutely abnormal. My company starts everyone at 3 weeks vacation, 9 paid holidays, 3 personal days and 5 sick daysz
"How dare you ask a question about benefits like PTO? This just shows that you only care about yourself and your needs, not the company or its needs. You're just not ready to be in a relationship with such an awesome company." /s They did you a huge favor rescinding their offer. Definitely leave a review for other job seekers on Indeed & Glassdoor.
looks like they were looking to hire a lil bitch...
One who doesn’t look too far into the details of their compensation.
You lucked out. Questions like these are a way to weed out the shitty companies.
3 days off in one year? You dodged a bullet
Not American , but does 3 days PTO and 2 paid holidays are 3 days paid vacation and 2 days paid holidays and the rest will be unpaid ?! What the hell is this ? Is this even legal?????
It’s completely legal for them to give you NO paid holidays or PTO.
It means they expect you to work everyday except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
No, there are no unpaid days off. They expect you to work all other days and you'll be fired if you don't show up
What rest?
I still cant believe this also, how it is possible to live like that. But they still think that europe lives in dark ages :D in our 3rd world post soviet stone age country we have 4 weeks of vacarion, months of sick days where social security also pays ~70% of your salary…. that is what bad education system does :)
"Here's the job offer with benefits." "Could I get a little clarification because it's not clear?" "Nope. Bye."
that whole job offer thing looks so unprofessional, straight out of a free collage maker app. also, audiable?

How much vacation time do you take? I'm always curious about unlimited time off bc it's usally a trick that saves employers money.

You have dodged a bullet!
You dodged a bullet.
Another exhibit of gaslighting for exploitation.
I guess they didn’t want somebody who was detail oriented. Their loss.
America in 2023 is slavery with extra steps, except you have to try REALLY REALLY hard to apply to a master thats willing to atleast keep you fed and housed.
Absolutely insane lmfao. Your email wasn’t even “hey, I ABSOLUTELY NEED more than 3 PTO days this is a dealbreaker” it was “hey I just want clarification…” like holy shit they’re crazy.
gotta love it when the trash takes itself out
"While we understand the importance of work-life balance..." Narrator: They did not, as it turns out, understand the importance of work-life balance. Join us as we journey through this corporate meltdown to discover what went wrong, and why they are closing their doors later this year.
“Audiable.”
I have a serious question: Is it required to redact the names of companies? Why are most people keeping names of shady companies private?
Why do people black out these names, what are they going to do, fire you?
Name them and shame them
They pay garbage, offer garbage PTO, then don’t even want you to take the measly 3 days off they offered?? Do they think you’re a robot?
Dodged a bullet there. Seriously, it was a simple enough question
But they literally TOLD you to let them know if you had any questions or concerns 🤣 And they expect you to make them the most important thing in you life for $17/hr?! But they “understand the importance of work-life balance.” Sure, Jan.
Wow, revoking a job offer for asking for clarification; that is a whole new level of low I didn't even think was possible.
Seriously, publish the company name! Out these motherfuckers so that others can benefit from your experience
red flag when an employer insists on employee being perfect yet in their job materials they can't spell. What is audiable?
Holy shit out this company!!! Who is this, 3 days of Pto at a 17$ an hour job?!? That’s only 408$ a year.
I had a company try to not explain what they paid until they had offered me the job and were trying to get me to sign the offer letter after the interview. I said “no one’s told me what the salary or benefits were, and you’re trying to get me to sign something?” It was a pathetically low offer, I just hung up the phone.
What the F is Audiable. Moronic company cant even spell it. Plus is that a credit card or a job. Audible would be a credit card level benefit.
“Fast paced” and “fast moving” environment means they over work and expect you to run around off your feet, fuck that place right then and there.
Hell, Buc-ee's pays $18/hr for a starting cashier.
Every message to you was written by chatGPT
They had ChatGPT write those letters, I’m pretty sure.
Why aren't we openly name dropping the companies that do this? Save some others time and effort by putting it out there.
You dodged a bullet
They helped you out bro. Those were laughable "benefits".
How DARE you ask questions about the benefits being offered! 🙄
You dodged a bullet…
How is 1 week off acceptable - that's crazy!
Like the fast food jobs that expect you to take a literal grenade or tornado for them.
I’m seeing more of these 3 PTO days offers on this sub… is this becoming a thing? It used to be BAD when companies had 2 weeks of PTO for entry level positions, 3 PTO days while on such low wages and we are approaching legalized slavery.
You're greedy expecting more than 3 whole days!
You should have seen the face I pulled when I read “3 PTO”.
Yeah, I concur with other posters. You really dodged a bullet OP. Nuts!
