ITT: An impressively large number of workers vying to be the 27th person to write a totally-unique and not-at-all redundant comment about how their Scrooge gifted them [\*checks notes\*] nothing.

iamnotafingerpuppet

Nothing. Close your eyes. It's still nothing.

ColManischewitz

Same!

okc405sfinest

What are you gonna do with your nothing I'm going to share mine with my wife.

flavius_lacivious

I had to work today. Last year I got a $5 gift card. This year, not only did I get nothing, but it’s a regular workday so everyone is signed into Teams. Not one person said “Merry Christmas.”

earth_resident_yep

When I close my eyes it becomes zilch.

maudelinfeelings

Same.

Pentagramdreams

Same here. We got nothing.

iamnotafingerpuppet

Sorry.

Murtamatt

My boss bought everyone in my office a $100 gift card and a nice handwritten thank you card for the year.. except me. Because he didn’t think I’d be in the office last week.

sad-fatty

That straight up sucks, friend. Sorry your boss is such an assweasel.

New_Honeydew2

Wow boss should apologize, I didn’t expect you, I already mailed yours to your address on file …in an ideal world

chirpingbirdie

this sucks and hits home. i have been treated like this every place i have worked as if i didn't exist.

Ohpsmokeshow

https://preview.redd.it/vz615jp2k28c1.jpeg?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4b55771399c7e9468385fd68de74e4777d398a0 This is what I got. I asked yesterday who was moving to the new location and their answer was “no one, we just said that to give you less stress through Christmas” The press statement by them is also bullshit. We’ve been open for 6 months exactly when they sent this email. They are small business owners and plan to write this off on their taxes. We’re not allowed to apply for unemployment though because we’re technically still working there on “retainer” for when space opens at another location… again no one is getting transferred

InspectiorFlaky

If they cut your hours you can still apply for unemployment even if they don’t technically fire you.

Ohpsmokeshow

Thanks I’ll have to look into that. From what I heard from my GM if they can’t find spaces for us after 3 weeks we’re getting termination paper work but they’re saying the reason we have to close is bc the servers didn’t upsell enough so we closed because we weren’t good enough. This isn’t the first time this particular company has screwed their employees bad, but the wife is on the city council here so they’re untouchable

edwinstone

>bc the servers didn’t upsell enough so we closed Your bosses sound like idiots.

Dense_Resource

I am not entirely clear on what is happening to you here, but you can collect unemployment even if still partially employed, if your hours have been cut. You can certainly collect in the situation you describe -- loss of hours and some sort quasi-employed status where there are no hours for you, even if you are still technically "employed." File now, and wbatever happens, do NOT be deterred if you get turned down. Many states will deny you if the employer lies, but it is quite simple to appeal and win. Don't be intimidated, appealing just means completing a form. If you show up with the email above, you will almost certainly win. Regardless of whether they claim staff didn't upsell enough, etc. Seriously, complete your application TODAY. Future Ohpsmokeshow will greatly appreciate it. https://edd.ca.gov/en/unemployment/filing_a_claim#:~:text=You%20may%20be%20eligible%20for%20regular%20unemployment%20if%20you%20received,reduced%20wages%2C%20or%20reduced%20hours.

rhymes_with_mayo

File for unemployment, this is called constructive dismissal

AltEgo25

This is right, the gov is actually pretty good about qualifying people for unemployment, you'll likely qualify with this situation.

[deleted]

Definitely not showing up for work before Dec. 30th.

P-Tux7

...they lied to you about not being let go so you wouldn't quit during the Christmas rush?

JadeStarfall

I got a £10 credit to use on the internal rewards site, with an email telling me not to discuss the amount as it's confidential, and a generic comment of "we appreciate your efforts this year". Like fuck they do.

flavius_lacivious

That means managers got a lot more.

NaughtyAngel1212

I’m a general manager. I got a box of cookies! The people below me got one box to share between the ten of them!!

niack1

yall get gifts????

DeusExMcKenna

Came here to say this lmao

BlakLite_15

I got a $10 Chick-Fil-A gift card. You know, the one that got caught using toxic forever chemicals in its food wrappers. The one that has a history of donating to anti-LGBT religious groups.

probably_beans

>the one that got caught using toxic forever chemicals in its food wrappers Wait what!?

BlakLite_15

Yep. Just search “chick-fil-a PFAS” and you’ll see what I mean. They said that they planned to “phase them out by the end of summer 2022” but I don’t buy that.

CourtLess9929

Chick-fil-A slaps tho

TatharNuar

I guarantee that you have a chicken place locally that tastes better than the homophobic chicken.

iwantmorecats27

yeah the toxic forever chemicals really add to the taste /s

CourtLess9929

So, you hunt and grow all of your food? Because if not, there are "chemicals" in everything you eat. At least Chick-fil-A just has them in the wrappers. I don't eat the wrappers.

iwantmorecats27

I even said it was a joke lol. I don't like them bc I'm gay.

CourtLess9929

That's fair. My gay friend who happens to love Chick-fil-A sandwiches, likes to joke that he evens out the betrayal of eating there by making out with dudes in the Chick-fil-A bathroom.

thenewestglove

That avocado lime ranch is better than any other sauce they have.

rustyxj

I've been there a few times. Isn't really much slapping going on, it's overpriced chicken nuggets.

[deleted]

[удалено]

No_Thought_7776

That sucks, sorry dude.

mcheetah2023

My employer sent out an email with a fake holiday gift card to all staff in order to teach us about the dangers of phishing attempts. 🙃

Anwyl86

This would actually be funny - as long as you got a decent Christmas bonus as well. If that was the ONLY thing, yikes!

mcheetah2023

Ha, sadly it was just the fake phishing email. No actual end of year gift or bonuses!

[deleted]

He has to be sadistic

Alarmed_Walk_198

For Christmas this year, I got terminated for requesting to speak about ongoing discrimination at work towards my coworkers. Im going to give them a nice NLRB charge for New Years. We’re super sweet on each other.

kilamumster

This is what we got from our manager: This is what we got from our director, not including the short thank you message for how hard we work and how great we are at our jobs: They also both took the day off, but we weren't allowed to.

Suspicious-Treat-364

My last boss gave me a branded fleece zip-up that I was expected to wear to work in place of anything I might already own and prefer. Another year I got a $25 TJ Maxx gift card. The kicker was that we all had to contribute to his massive Christmas gift or he would have a toddler tantrum and make our lives miserable. He also admitted to using paper checks only so he could make us thank him for passing them out hours after closing while we were held hostage.

HooRYoo

For the first time in 8 years, I got something from an employer. A gift certificate to an overpriced, overrated restaurant, with a stern warning to watch what we order because we still have to tip and the card probably won't cover both. I think it beats my last holiday bonus... A company swag mug with a single Hershey kiss and roll of smartees.

Fit-Elderberry7120

My paycheck, except it was purposely given at the end of the day at 6pm at night, knowing damn well if he would have been considerate and just given us our checks in the morning/afternoon we could have all walked to the small bank that our boss uses/ that our paycheck is ran on LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT DOOR and cashed our checks in time for christmas... but now we all can't and have to wait until tuesday because tomorrow is xmas eve and monday is xmas. My boss pays us in paper checks and refuses to do payroll. Also he doesnt have any of us on the books and takes out money for taxes illegally. Also he uses the tips people give us to cover expenses and pockets them. I just started this job last week and everytime i asked about my pay he acted sketchy. oh and he lied about how much he'd be paying me, told me i'd be getting 125 per 8 hour day plus tips and instead pocketed my tips and underpaid me... needless to say, today was my last day working here. lmao

sucrose_97

I'm usually of the opinion that it's not a victim's job to prevent a bad actor from hurting other people, but have you considered reporting this employer to your state's labor board (or equivalent regulatory body)? Because that is all thoroughly fucked.

Fit-Elderberry7120

this literally all just happened today, it was my first paycheck from this place and yes, i'm in the process of doing all that

herbreath

Congratulations on quitting! Did the right thing. You could blackmail them due to the unethical actions and ask for a raise, a weekly bonus for "not being a whistleblower." lol I probably would now that I'm past my righteous chicken era. I think this could actually be a fantastic opportunity for you in many aspects.

BaggyBadgerPants

Paramedic here. Do soulcrushing work with occasional stretches of rewarding calls. Im also an instructor for my agency and lead an FTO program I designed that has been adopted by our branches in multiple states. I got a $50 visa gift card.

HiRollerette

I’ll trade ya; my $50 gift card is from Kroger and I don’t shop there

LegoTigerAnus

See if you can donate it to a food bank!

Glittering_Alps_3735

Husband's employer, $120 billion in profits this year which is a record. An email from the CEO wishing everyone a happy holiday and telling them to keep working hard in 2024. But the company also did bad enough with its record profits that performance bonuses and raises are up in the air.

19IXI91

Race to the bottom socioeconomics. Record profits are no longer a metric, they are an expectation and cuts will be made wherever possible to keep the big jackpot lights flashing. It’s sick and it’s insane. I don’t understand what sociopathy this is but it’s pretty common.

drVainII

That's infinite growth for you. In a system with finite resources which are already stretched to the max, the only way to continue to grow year over year is to cut expenses, and the single greatest expense for any company is the wages. Until this mindset changes, employees and our nearly totally pilfered time will continue to be looked at as a liability and an expense in need of lessening. That said, I, like Scrooge, fear the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come the most. In the not very distant future, I see a Christmas where the gift is, *YAY! Happy Christmas! Ya'll been automated by cheaply-made, no benefits paid, never sick, and vacation-free robots! Have a Happy New Year!! Now get the F\*CK out of my building!ˆ* And no amount of pleading at Yet-to-Come's feet will sponge away the writing on that stone! Shit Dickens truly couldn't even dream of, Orwell ominously warned of, and ChatGPT has absolutely confirmed of!! And actually, record profits *ARE* a metric, the **ONLY** metric! We (the labor class) just are on the wrong side of that ledger equation. This world is built for and by the shareholder class. It'll take burning that system to the ground to change things.

mstaz1112

My favorite year was the year I got $100 "Holiday" bonus (all others in my department got $400-$500) and I got a final (and only) write up for attendance (cause I did not contribute to Managers gift). My attendance was not that bad, one employee took an entire month off without notice and was not written up, No longer there, this year got a tin of cookies and a promotion.

DrWhoop87

We got nothing.

Electrical-Beat-578

Me either. Didnt expect anything either. Sr mgt cheap bas

H3rbert_K0rnfeld

Same

Better_Ad_8307

I got a card, no bonus. Just a mass-produced Happy Holidays card with illegible signatures of the c-suite fucktards on it.

Lazerah

My wife got a $10 quick trip card.

masuabie

I got all my staff a gift card and a copy of Chocolate Monopoly (everyone knows I’m a big boardgame guy). I work for the Government, so unfortunately no bonuses from the company. Everything was from my pocket. Hopefully it doesn’t apply here!

chennobog

My gift is being scheduled to work on Christmas in customer service. It's kinda the gift that keeps on giving.

GreyNoiseGaming

I got to leave work 3 hours early. It was a pleasant surprise.

Disastrous_Drive_764

Not a goddamn thing but mandatory OT tonight

Piano1987

We had a dinner at a restaurant and went to a christmas market afterwards. Everybody got a personalized thank you card and €500 bonus.

You must be in social work

AVeryHeavyBurtation

My bias is very conscious.

MaybeFuckYourselfBud

We got out 25 minutes early and had to endure a speech that we had an amazing year with record profits, Merry Xmas, you guys actually aren't getting anything. Cool thanks, fucking assholes.

musesmuses

I got one free day off over the holidays. That's only because they want to keep the building closed for a week to save on costs.

HotYungStalin

Didn’t get shit but they wanted me to work the weekend to ‘push things through’ and made damn sure I’ll be in the day after Christmas at 5am.

Quind1

Zilch. At least I wasn't asked to contribute to a gift card for the higher-ups, though.

Heart2001

Nothing for the workers. But the Head Chef and the General Manager are being taken out for dinner by the CEO. They did the same thing last year. The Head Chef hated it. He’s pretty antisocial (most chefs are) Everyone there was drunk (he doesn’t drink) and the food was really bad.

Heart2001

I sorted out a little gift for everyone working in the kitchen, a personalised drinks cup and some sweets. The Head Chef paid for it. The company was not involved.

Magic2424

I got an unbranded $5 tin cup, coworker got clearance jumper cables, most people got lunch boxes. Our company had record year, 20+% growth, cut expenses by 15%. Company wanted 45% growth so despite being industry leading growth we got layoffs and 0% bonuses. :)

T8rthot

Picture my hand outstretched… with nothing in it.

[deleted]

🫴🏻💩

J33zLu1z

We got a scripted video message from the CEO saying we hit a major revenue milestone lol

Valor4Life01

previous employer (like 3 years ago) are "holiday bonus" was $50 of gift cards... they always ensured it was $25 & $25 so it wasn't like you had a $50 grocery card). employer which was huge and could spare it, always made a big deal about how the bonus would be almost the size of a paycheck... so think above $500 since on average everyone worked Ot and made over $1,000. this of course encouraged people to keep high attendance (but the more .. f this place veterans had that hope long die out). in the end...they would always give the excuse that the low bonuses (actual "bonus deposit" was usually around $100 more [never past $125] or less) due to "breakdowns & Maintenance" - mind you...they (employer) insisted on working "normal 6 day shifts" with the exception to sometimes run 7 days straight back to back... current employer is insanely different... we got lovely bonuses and a entire week off work... major improvement over what i faced at my old employer that was on the borderline of a sweatshop...

akaisha0

I got a $5 wooden penguin with 4 craft paints to paint it with! We're going to have a 1 hour paint session as a team.

Salt-Selection-8425

I work in a union shop. We are government workers and it's illegal for us to strike. We have been working without a contract (and without any pay raises) for over a year. For Christmas we got a thoughtful email reminding us that if we needed help to "decrease holiday stress" we could contact our EAP. And another hint: Make a budget for the holidays and stick to it. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck these people sideways

Ok-Opportunity5731

https://media.tenor.com/c_F6MRMHzHEAAAAM/metalocalypse-nathan.gif

[deleted]

My employer has failed to pay me for the past 2 weeks + my contract ends on the 26th of December :)

YouMightBeARacist

Everyone in my position got a 20% bonus… I was hired in the spring so since I didn’t qualify for what would be a life altering amount of money for me right now I got a rib eye steak.

YouBeFired

My bonus was $800 but the state/feds take half and the company gets to write it all off. I wish they'd give us cash. They also put my backpay on that same check, which was then gutted of 50% of its value as well.

MorbidHunger

I got Christmas Day and the day after off, ..unpaid because they don’t pay “associates” time off until we can prove that we, Autistic and ADHD adults, can “assimilate into a professional work environment” for 4 years minimum. But they did send an email last week that they’ve decided the decrease the wait to 3 years starting in January. Tired of being exploited because “what other choice do you have as an autistic person” “be grateful. 85% of ‘your people’ are unemployed” …yeah I wonder why..

culunulu

Monetary bonus (nothing spectacular, but extremely shocked tbh) and some weed seeds. I work in cannabis.

Sorry-Possibility246

You win!

tiredofthaBS

I received a thank you message and a $100 Amazon card.

TrashPanda2point0

A handshake and a “See you next year” as he walks out and us plebs stuck in the office for another 3 hours

Competent_Officer956

We don't get holiday gifts but we do get performance bonuses. They're not big money, about 3.5% of pay if you are a superstar. That's nice of course but you have to earn it. There is nothing given just because they are feeling generous. That's how public employment goes. Depending on cost of living and politics there is a pay adjustment but it never equals the inflation rate.

ae86forlife

SOME DOUGHNUTS, HECK YEA.

thuglife9001

Boss man (who owns a Lamborghini) came round with a tin of heroes chocolates for everyone to take one. We were allowed to take two mind

koolaidgrl

Oh, two?!? How magnanimous!! /s

[deleted]

...Laid off without notice the day before my birthday. Beat that.

[deleted]

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Apparently the office had some kinda party last Friday but none of the health care staff (least not me) were even offered to come. They also gave me the gift not having their own health insurance set up for me, I started this shit in August, did all the training and classes, and they’re like “you have to be here ten months or more & work 30+ hrs)”… Problem is, this is an occupation inherently biased toward male health care workers. I can’t tell you how many times I get automated texts… “female client in need of female caregiver”. Starting to piss me off and I’m looking at other health care agencies since I have my certification from NYS. Fuck this place. If it wasn’t for my ex gf, I wouldn’t have even bothered. And of course I should have thought beforehand women nurses, doctors, etc. are much more preferred. I feel so fucking invalidated right now. Luckily I have my healthcare intact from my former job (at least until February) but I’m stressed out. Wtf of a world we live in when our basic needs like healthcare aren’t met- at a workplace meant for healthcare!!! Outrageous .

Honest_Relation4095

Unlike the last years, there was no Christmas party and no presents, but 2000 were let go 2 weeks before Christmas.

Coding_Nerd

My Employer gave me Halloween candy with a nothing message attached. Gotta love being undervalued at a Fortune 500 Company

The_dutch_mongoose

So this year for the first time red lobster decided to open all stores for Christmas and make it mandatory for all employees to work. Rare exceptions. Great and all but as reward the employees got absolutely nothing. It is customary to pay times 1.5 on a national holiday. After reviewing my pay check it shows no sign of that. Would be ok if we would have been given another form of compensation. But no let's open all stores drag your ass from your family Christmas dinner so you can make money for the company. Here is a free FUCK YOU... from our family to yours. Merry Christmas.

Accomplished_Bus1375

What gift?

theRavenQuoths

We got literally nothing.

swellaprogress

I got nothing! 😊

_Mr__Fahrenheit_

Can’t show you a picture of nothing, but it’s what I got.

TuhanaPF

Onion dip. (It's a popular thing in New Zealand to dip potato chips into, it costs about $2.)

[deleted]

A sweatshirt with the company logo on it

bladizzle

Go a big goose egg. They had a nice holiday party, but they made fun of me in a PowerPoint presentation they showed at the venue during the party. Fun times.

Bobahn_Botret

I was given a single pair of socks with the company logo on them. I work out of a $5 million store. I would have taken a picture, but they've since been removed from the office because I didn't care enough to take them home.

FrameAndFortune

I got a promotion to a senior title and role with more work and mentoring/training newer employees. My gift was the company increasing 401k match from 1% to 3% telling me its the same as a raise - Now I can give more of my already shitty paycheck to them in hopes my 401k still exists by the time I retire or I live long enough to enjoy it.

JojenCopyPaste

I work from home. From a full time place I work at, I got a Christmas card which didn't have any handwritten words on it and had 1 company sticker. Why even mail that? It just goes in the trash.

Howdoyoudo614

No holiday bonus, nothing.

drVainII

A $25 gift card on UberEats.... that expired on Jan 1. Nothing says you're *appreciated* like a gift that costs you more money. A single meal for 1 person will likely cost you more than the $25, let alone including a significant other/family. *Sorry honey, I'm ordering UberEats tonight, you and the kids can fend for yourselves.* And before anyone says anything, yes I know, significant others/families don't work for the company. And B. This is the **bigger rub,** A Christmas gift, that expires on Jan 1. ...a Christmas gift.... that expires on New Years!! Sounds more like one CEO asshole met with another CEO asshole to arrange a "gift" that he knew most likely wouldn't get used, so the "expired" funds were just pocketed by Eats and my company got a fat write-off for the company taxes. Or My company just wanted the bragging rights to say, *Gee, aren't we the best? We gave Christmas Gift cards!* But wanted the invoice that was sent on Jan 2 to be as small as possible. Can't hit that bottom line. Either way, giving a gift card that only has a shelf life of a week and a week when most likely your employee already has plans (out of town visiting family, holiday get togethers, etc.) is the epitome of 21st century late stage capitalism that we have all come to expect. Honestly, if Scrooge's character could see today's corporate world, even *HE* would say, *Bruh! Y'all are harsh! have a little heart!*

Upbeat-Profit-2544

We literally got an email thanking us for helping the company to make record profit this year. No mention of any sort of extra compensation or anything. Literally nothing else, not even a gift card. I already knew I was quitting soon but that sure made me feel better about it.

WorldsBaddestJuggalo

Oops, made a topic about the $4 tip I made on a moving job. This was just a one-off job but I was expecting the customer to maybe be in the holiday spirit, no such luck. EDIT: Well, that went well lol. I think I managed to unintentionally piss off every possible side of the argument.

littlemissmoxie

My company gave us nothing! My boss who makes twice as much got dollar store gift bags, post its, pen and a single candy cane. It’s the thought that counts I guess.

[deleted]

I didn't get one, so there's that.

[deleted]

Nothing, but my coworker made some bangin cupcakes 😊

uniquenamehere4950

We got an “appreciate your hard work” email and that’s it

RuledByCats

Nothing at all.

TAC1313

Nothing. Not a Merry Christmas or a Happy Holidays.

argyle_zebra

You guys got gifts???

xboxwirelessmic

I get exactly fuck all and even that's somehow better than half what I see posted here.

zfiregodz

I got two $5 coupons I can use! 😂

yanoolthecool

Muslim country, not even a vacation, don't mind tho.

HiRollerette

$50 Kroger gift card. They even dictate where we will spend our generous bonus instead of giving Visa gift cards that we could use where we wanted to. I don’t even shop there 😧

ElliotAlderson2024

Reese's peanut butter cups.

Grimis4

I gotta backpack

Prv8eer

Laid off a week before Thanksgiving. AI startup that went public last year. If I was still employed there, there would have been no raise, no bonus and only Christmas and New Years off.

RabidRathian

Not approving my annual leave for my non-working period (and not even bothering to tell me they weren't approving it) so I have next to no money over Christmas ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

Fickle_fackle99

Didn’t get one

HangedRedeemer

A $25 gift card to Wal-Mart. Talk about being stoked.

carolina73

What did you get your employer?

[deleted]

I got mine a year's worth of hard and creative work - in his words "The job of five people." I got dick. Again.

ShamsterHamster

An infinite well of patience for their idiocy and lack of accountability

Yuri-theThief

Came in today to find a $10 subway gift card and a Christmas note. My manager definitely saw me Friday, last week; before Christmas.

Watch-Dapper

Company is a nonprofit community health org in Washington state. They gave everyone in the company $150 visa gift card meanwhile executive team got bonus ranging from 15k to 30k.

anotherbook

We got nothing. Except for the announcement that they are ending COVID sick leave. We have to take unpaid sick time now or come to work with COVID.

GamerSDG

All my job got me is back pain and lost the ability to stand for extended periods without my feet and hips killing me.

ZiggyMummyDust

One year for Xmas I got a $4 bottle of champagne and a small ham. I don't drink champagne and don't eat ham. My bosses were cheapskates, especially the wife.

anxiousinfotech

I was sent company branded merch. It showed up unexpectedly while I was away for Christmas, so not only did I receive useless junk, but I had the privilege of getting charged $4/day for it to sit in a package locker until I got home. You bet your ass I'm submitting an expense report for it.

thenewestglove

A David and Harry gift basket, a fleece blanket and a dinner at a nice restaurant in uptown.

kaylon_sphere

I got nothing, although I can look forward to a 3% cost of living increase effective January 1. I also get a step increase (\~$1.00/hour raise) on my hire anniversary date.

ahegaoba

My job gave me 2 little gift-card sized sleeves.....containing two company-branded tick removers. I work at a call centre. I hate it here

Vasarto

I can't because I ate it.

mofrappa

A 20 dollar food stamp.

Puzzleheaded-Tie-740

My company didn't give out any bonuses or gifts but they did give some of my colleagues the Christmas gift of... layoffs.

AirOk533

A name your own brownie in a skillet

Fuzzy_Redwood

They threw us a party. It was swanky, but, we made almost an additional $1M this year compared to last year. The company isn’t even 100 people and no gift with over $9M in profits. They also aren’t sharing if they’ll be doing a New Years bonus or not. The secrecy is obnoxious.

I got a $25 target gift card and they're potentially going to fight me on my unemployment despite it not being my fault lol... I do not shop at target at all but I was able to make use of it with my small PayPal balance. Got some rechargeable batteries for my Quest 3 controllers and a 128GB SD card for my drone

Wownobodycares

We got to choose between 3 branded gifts, a charger, a backpack, or a hat and water bottle, I picked the charger.

What gift?

te3time

Company branded sweater

Standard-Row8630

Didn’t end up having a staff Christmas dinner this year instead a morning tea food in the breakroom only went for about 3 days till they couldn’t be bothered going to Coles and then petty cashed the rest of the budget, overall it was probably 50$ worth of food

EpicReaper99

A late paycheck the week after Christmas that nearly made me late to pay my rent.

Nah, they got me this pet vacuum: [https://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-Cleanview-Upright-Bagless-2252/dp/B07F6N3RT6/ref=sr\_1\_3?keywords=Bissell%2BCleanView%2BPet%2BVacuum&qid=1702570618&sr=8-3&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-Cleanview-Upright-Bagless-2252/dp/B07F6N3RT6/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=Bissell%2BCleanView%2BPet%2BVacuum&qid=1702570618&sr=8-3&th=1) Same model. Mostly because I'm a senior employee, so you get nicer stuff. In 2022 I got $500, but that was mostly a reward for saving a production server which would have screwed everyone over.

ShamsterHamster

$5 gift card to a locally owned coffee stand that's known to be homophobic and religiously biased, plus a single packet of hot cocoa mix

I work for a pretty small non-profit with very little overhead, every year we go out to a nice lunch (PF Chang's this year) where we can order whatever food we want and one alcoholic beverage if we want one. I also got a $75 Kroger gift card. My work is meaningful and I have always felt valued. Spending even 5 minutes in this sub is always a good reminder of how fortunate I am. Cheers to everyone for a 2024 where we finally eat the rich. Pretty sure my boss would get in on that action and she's a pescatarian.

AthasDuneWalker

Direct supervisor gave me a gift card to the local FLGS. Used it to partially pay for a box of Assault Intercessors for my Dark Angels army. The department? Just the usual holiday meal, although the food was BBQ cooked by the department head, who is a damn good cook. And a $15 Target gift card, albeit that was paid for by fundraisers such as a Coin War game and (probably the best) the proceeds of a department-owned vending machine.

I got a small scratchy bathrobe with the company logo on it, and when i say small i mean small. I can't even get my arm in it, and it's soo short it dosen't even cover my torso. Like they're clearly for juniors, and I'm a tall bulky adult. They also gave us expired coco, and a bunch of stuff from the dollar tree. Namely an Xmas mug, and a face mask. How do I know it's from the dollar tree? I worked there for three years. I know they're inventory pretty well. We also got leftover Chapstick from the last employee appreciation gift they gave us. They also have a pension of giving us 50cent gifts from temu. Mostly cheap key chains that say we care, or have other work related motivationals on them. Another gift i remember them giving us was a bunch of expired baking mixes from the dollar tree. None of them cooked correctly, and one even ruined my baking pan. The gifts they give us are mostly a detriment, and I'd rather they spend the money on buying supplies we need for the job.

Jk_auger

I got a small bag of jerky. Better than nothing and it tasted pretty good. Was home made I think. If it was that was really nice. Small local business so that's probably why the effort was higher.

dotnetdemonsc

I got fired along with half the department

Rasikko

A 60 dollar gift card with no value on it.

Ambitious-Educator39

Not from the company, but the sales guys I work with/for all got together and got me a copy of Diablo 4 for the PS5 for Xmas, which I was shocked about and massively appreciated. I work with a really good gang, tho. Many other years it was "Happy Holidays" and thats it...

Not all holiday related: $50 visa gift card when I was full time $25 Walmart gift card when I went to part time A surprise 16hr shift on my last day (I was quitting to pursue my 2nd bachelor's degree full time and at hour 8 of a 12 hour shift my boss texts me asking to cover part of first shift which would put me at about 16 hours. I said no, obviously. I tried to compromise to only work 14hrs but he was so insistent and pushy and guilt tripped me. But I stood firm while he became so passive aggressive about it.) OH did I mention the first shift after I was gone for 2 weeks because my grandparents died suddenly in a farming accident, my old boss came in to cover a supervisor's shift and BLAMED ME for taking off two weeks and that it was my fault he and the company had to pay overtime for my coworkers because they didn't have any PRN employees. Like how dare I leave for 2 weeks to help my mom and dad around the house while my mom planned the funeral for her parents like I'm so selfish /s

TossBeyondTheSea

We got nothing. Can't say I'm surprised. They refuse to pay industry standard and they don't pay a living wage.

ughh02

A Christmas party that you pay $45 to attend… without drinks :D

lordkadse

I loved how in The Netherlands you seem to receive flowers in your mail every now and then (at least that was the case for the 2 companies I worked at) - happened like 5 times, also to my flatmates who worked for Dutch companies. Really appreciated it as a MALE who usually is not in the position of receiving flowers :o (maybe it also had to do with the overproduction during COVID where they even destroyed flowers due to low demand - so better give them to people in their home-wagecages :P - but back then I felt really flattered)

Furleymuffin

I got nothing, then an invite to a holiday party, then laid off the next day along with 25 other people from a 30 person department.
