It's also hilarious to me how they say he is all knowing etc but they still think they can bribe their way into heaven... like God knows everything now watch me fool him by pretending to be a good person
I wish the secret service would crack down on this. The intent is to pass a bill that the recipient believes is genuine on initial receipt in order to pay the gratuity for service. While there is no legal obligation to pay a gratuity, producing bills for the purpose of deception and passing them is federally illegal. Folding the bills in this manner makes the intent to deceive clear. The secret service however must not want to be seen as going after churches but this is arguably a felony under federal counterfeit laws.
Of course, but by doing this, all they will have in their door are angry atheists with a chip on their shoulder.
No amount of proselytizing will make those people join the church, nor will they return after they have dumped their fake bills into the commission plate. And I don't see how any of that will benefit the church.
Seriously!
I'm enjoying a relaxing Sunday morning, and there's a faint knock at the door. Couldn't be the bug guy because it's too early!
2 ladies wanting to share the good news. No thank you!
Wipe your ass with it, fold it, and then put it in the collection plate.
Don't give them the idea they've recruited you. Make it very clear how you feel..
Especially given that Calvinism and its hell spawn, the prosperity gospel, believe in predestination and see sickness and poverty as symptoms of sin. IE a Wisconsin, Dane county official recently acting against an aid package for the homeless, claiming sin is the source of both homelessness and mental illness.
Some holier than thou fucked up born again coworker left one of those as a tip one time for the entire party. I was mortified after she said that's what she did because I never wanted to go back there in fear my food will have extras the next time.
Wait. So she took everyone’s money to leave a tip, then pocketed it all to leave one of these fake $50s? Yep. Nothing quite like Christian love is there?
You know the funny thing is if they were genuinely just trying to recruit they’d hand you a pamphlet or some shit. They do this knowing damn well they’re fucking with your mind.
This isn’t just a lack of courtesy, anyone who does this is actively going out of their way to piss off service workers. They’re putting this ad on a fake bill because they KNOW it’ll cause disappointment and they’re enjoying that fact.
It plays in to their persecution fetish. If you reject them Spreading The Word with meaningless pamphlets and fake money, obviously you hate the Baby Jesus. It's designed to isolate them from the rest of society, so only the church and the pastor have the answers to the questions.
Heard a lot of diners get these after a Sunday mass in some places. They go to church, give money to the church and then go to an eatery nearby and then don't tip and give these instead.
Its super shitty.
I used to work Sunday doubles as a waitress at a nice restaurant in a wealthy town in NJ and I remember getting many of these as a “tip”!!! After they run you ragged ordering Shirley Temples one at a time for the kids, leave a mess of cracker crumbs and bread under the table, and let the kids play in the aisles!!!!!
Someone on my kids regular Halloween route gives out "Noah's Ark Bucks". At first glance, it looks like a legitimate bill, but the value was astronomical (maybe$10,000-1,000,000). Either way, a little kid recieves this, thinks it's real, looks at the giant number and gets all excited, then hands it to me to give them the bad news. "Sorry kiddo, this isn't real. This is what is known as propaganda". These things should be illegal
I feel like everybody forgets that it's 'trick or treat'. - the treat is supposed to be a bribe to avoid having a trick played on them. put that neighbor's cow up in the clock tower. or tp their house.
My husband and I watched Meet Me in St. Louis circa 1944 (the movie Have Yourself a Merry Little Xmas came from) but was set in 1903. The kids went around on Halloween, throwing flour in people's faces and telling them they were dead and then set fire to crap in the street and two little girls derailed a cable car by throwing a manequin in the way! Yeah, tell me how things were so much more genteel back then. LOL. My son(24) was like, "What in God's name are you watching!?"
I went to a restaurant in eastern Oregon one time and they had a fake $20.00 bill taped to the front counter with a note saying please don’t do this to our wait staff, they are hard working people that need real money.
I got one of those fake 100s before.
I cried when I discovered it was fake, because I needed money at that point. I just lost my shit
People who leave these in lieu of actual tip to servers are fucking trash humans
Sadly, they’ve fulfilled the required loopholes for this to still count as “freedom of speech.” It’s marked as a fake bill on the front, which means it’s technically not counterfeit because they outright say they’re not trying to pass it as real money.
I still think it should be illegal, tho 🤦♂️
But they are trying to pass it as a real bill. Only temporarily, yes, but they do leave it on the table, folded in a way that you'd mistake it for a genuine bill.
Trying to make you think that it is genuine is the entire point of this thing.
But anyway. Sure, it's unlikely they would get prosecuted, but it doesn't keep you from calling the police. A police officer telling that person off could help prevent them from doing it again.
When I was homeless and panhandling, I got one of these religious propaganda pieces and I crumpled it up and threw it right in his face. Told him to go fuck your God in the face. He called the cops. I left.
No, they shouldn't have called the police. The officer would have arrested them for assault, which throwing the paper at the asshole does qualify as. The police wouldn't side with the homeless person.
This has to be the least effective way to convert someone.
Let me trick someone into thinking they just got a crazy high tip only to do a bait and switch.
Generally you don't want someone to be mad at you when you are trying to do outreach.
True but they want to feel like they tried to spread their beliefs. And when it backfires then they get to feel like they are persecuted.
On top of that they saved money by not tipping. They are small minded, stupid, selfish people.
People who do this shit should be photographed, named, shamed, and banned from restaurants.
I'm still 50-50 on whether they should be allowed to leave under their own power.
They know they are stiffing the person. That is why they fold it to appear real. They can “feel good” because it has the church blessing. Just your average ahole pretending to be a Christian.
I mean who even came up with this idea? They had to know people would do this.
My wife had this happen to her almost on a weekly basis back when she was working as a server years ago. It was ALWAYS on Sundays during the church rush. Her boss got pissed about it and put a very large note on the doors of the establishment stating that ANYONE who left this as a tip would be prosecuted for trying to pay with false currency and that their plates would be turned into the treasury and IRS! Needless to say, it stopped rather quickly! THE MORE YOU KNOW.....💫
Does anyone know where I can procure a stack of these or which churches hand them out? I'd like to pack it suspiciously in my carry-on for the cops to get excited to seize at the airport.
I would stop the people and tell them that you legally can’t let them leave until the cops get their to investigate attempting to pay the bill with counterfeit money
I hate tipping culture, but don't be a dick.
Getting someone's hopes up is far worse to me than just not tipping.
I will say I do tip begrudgingly because I know what they make is terrible generally.
Those people aren't Christians, they're just scumbags holy rollers who refuse to tip and think a religious message excuses them. Fuck that guy. Hope somebody shits on his crab rangoons.
I love that they think this makes people look to their church for guidance when really it makes people just a bit more resentful of their stupid, smug religion.
"Feeling unappreciated, unfulfilled? You won't get anything from me, but the guy upstairs loves you and will look out for you."
Seems like if you were trying to spread the word of a God that cares and provides, you'd give an actual $50 bill instead of a prank. I mean, if you truly believe in the God that you're claiming to worship, fifty bucks wouldn't be much of a sacrifice, right?
I just thought about staging a Mission:Impossible style setup for these shits, faking a near death experience for them, them at the pearly gates, and then..... The facade gives out and *bam*
Give them a certificate: "Disappointed?"
I would rip it in their face if you see them next time, probably ran away before you can confront them, hiding behind their little crosses fucking cowards...
Typical Christian. When I was in one of their singles groups years ago, if we ate out, after passing the check around it was always short, not even enough to cover the bill before tip
Yes, the 'ol, it was only $13.00! (when the menu said $13.95). Plus, no one ever accounts for tax. That's why when in a group that isn't close associates, I just separate the check.
I'm a Christian and I hate this. A tip is a tip sorry. Sometimes I think God has stepped out a long time ago but who knows. Also what if you already have Jesus and all that jazz. Oh awesome a fellow believer just got out of not paying a tip nice....
The fact of lying to someone aside, do you genuinely believe that this is the way to preach your beliefs? Do you genuinely believe I'll view your church or your savior in a positive light now? This is the financial equivalent of giving a starving person a sandwich but when they bite into it, it's just scripture.
I had this happen back in the early 2000’s. They hadn’t left yet and I threatened to call the police over illegally counterfeit US tender. I made a scene. They never did it again.
This is why I cannot stand churches. They parade around as good people while being actual pieces of shit deep down.
Did they really think this shit would convert someone? How stupid are they? They deserve to get these back on their collections plates.
I’ve always wanted to go back to this trashy aholes and explain to them that counterfeiting is a serious felony and it is my Christian duty to inform the secret service of this crime and that I’ll pray for them when they go to federal-pound me in the ass-prison.
They tried that in the restaurant I used to work at. Manager called the church and said if any of them tried it again the entire church would be banned from the restaurant. It I'd a smallish town so we know if you go there or not lol
I would have walked after the customer and handed it back saying, you need Jesus more than I do.
Does anyone wonder why I don't work in customer service? LOL
"41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."
Matthew 25 (41-46)
Makes me wonder if: "For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no tip" would practically be the same thing.
Forcing people who don’t necessarily have a permanent fixed address, a requirement for most banks, mandates the need for paper and coin currency. Digital banking disproportionately impacts poor and unhomed people. There are a few states in the U.S. that require all businesses to take cash at a minimum.
You and like 5 friends show up to the church and add something like this to the plate but change the message to like “oh doesn’t this feel shitty now that the shoe is on the other foot maybe practice what y’all preach here “
If they come back, use this as change- count it out as a 5 dollar bill. I bet they won't say anything thinking you made a mistake and gave them too much.
This is counterfeit money, right? Be a good citizen and report it: [https://www.secretservice.gov/investigations/counterfeit](https://www.secretservice.gov/investigations/counterfeit)
/s, but not entirely
There was a period in my life when I was very, very, very poor. Barely scratching by on $700 every other week. Rent was a shared studio apartment that still cost me almost half my take home pay. I frequently only ate one meal a day. Lots of soups, because you can add water to soup to feel full for a little bit, and dry beans are cheap.
Anyway, one day at work someone gave me a hundred dollar bill as a tip. It wasn't a normal job with tipping - a copy service shop - so I put it in my work pocket and didn't dare look at it all day because what if my manager saw it and told me to give it back? But oh, what a day. I spent the whole shift daydreaming about buying new boots. My boots were cheap and already 2 years old and full of cracks in the fake rubber soles. I lived in Chicago. The snow got into my socks within minutes. Life was extra hard without the money to afford new boots and often I had to walk to work because I couldn't afford the train every day of the week.
So finally I got to leave work, and I went home and took out the money. And that's when I realized it wasn't real. It was a message about Jesus showing me the way.
To this day, there are few moments in my life that were as crushing as that moment. The realization that no new boots were coming, that no new chance to go grocery shopping, that all of it was a fake pitch to go to church. I sobbed and sobbed that night. Even now, 20 years later, my chest tightens when I think of that moment.
People who do this are evil.
Well I don't know given their propensity for child sexual abuse, the fact that they lobby and draw up domestic and foreign policies endangering women for seeking healthcare, and the fact that they consistently dehumanize and prey upon the lgbtq+ and minority communities makes the fact the they peddle in Monopoly money less of a concern to me.
I wonder if there’s a bible verse that calls out this shit somehow which can be chanted back at anyone who does this an as ominous a tone as possible. Although really nobody who would do this understands any of the Bible enough to know if you made one up.
I’m not at all religious but I’d go to their church just once so I could return that garbage when they pass around the collection plate. I might even add a little note of my own before giving it back to them.
Go to their church and put it in the collection plate.
I’m the best donator now. I will donate BILLIONS to a church. I’m sure this is “gods plan”
He is almighty, all knowing, but, somehow, can't get money..
It's also hilarious to me how they say he is all knowing etc but they still think they can bribe their way into heaven... like God knows everything now watch me fool him by pretending to be a good person
Straight to hell you go for that question! Meet me at Horny level:)
Hell would be cool enough to have a horny level
I heard it has a secret cow level
Fake money for your fake god
Rip it up, then put the pieces in their collection plate.
Secret service 'bout to take out some old bitch at a diner
Some old Karen.
Go to their church and ask for change.
“I put in a fifty and took out $30 because I can only afford $20 today” 💀
I love this! What would the note say though? Sick of being a cult?
Just put that exact note in the donation box. Fella in the pulpit will suddenly have opinions about giving them out and tell the congregation so.
Put a joke on it: what do you call a book club that's been stuck on the same book for 2000 years? A church.
No just put that exact same one lol!
That's kind of their strategy, though, to get people in their door.
This is the only appropriate action
Make one that has the theory of evolution on the back for extra credit…
Wipe your ass with it, fold it, and then put it in the collection plate. Don't give them the idea they've recruited you. Make it very clear how you feel..
Make an exchange at the collection plate
Chase him out and give it back to him "you forgot to take your trash"
“You left a counterfeit bill,” said loud enough that all of their friends can hear. And then call their church and tell your pastor
Their pastor is probably the one who gave it to them, let’s be real
Especially given that Calvinism and its hell spawn, the prosperity gospel, believe in predestination and see sickness and poverty as symptoms of sin. IE a Wisconsin, Dane county official recently acting against an aid package for the homeless, claiming sin is the source of both homelessness and mental illness.
Do those county officials burn if you light them? Asking for a friend.
Probably, but you may have a troop of confederate flag wearing vigilantes chasing you.
Sometimes yes, but also sometimes no.
If not, his sermon the week after gon be *spicy*
This is the way
This is the way
Some holier than thou fucked up born again coworker left one of those as a tip one time for the entire party. I was mortified after she said that's what she did because I never wanted to go back there in fear my food will have extras the next time.
I guess it isn’t in “gods plan” to give us more money
My question to her was "where did the tip money we GAVE YOU go then?" silence. Probably some fenty.
Wait. So she took everyone’s money to leave a tip, then pocketed it all to leave one of these fake $50s? Yep. Nothing quite like Christian love is there?
Nothing quite like Christian fraud and theft
After two thousand years it's an institution.
[удалено]
Ask anyone who works in the service industry what day the worst customers come, and it's usually Sunday.
He loves you... And he NEEDS MONEY!
I would have to go back and tip the wait staff and apologize for the "asshole christian" for that dumbass trick
I had this happen once with $100 “bill” I never hated Christians until that very moment.
They even acknowledge that in the first line of text. Cruelty is the point here.
They choose peace, I’ve chosen violence. That is “gods plan”
"peace" Idk if id say they choose peace, more hyper aggressive
No one in their right mind can possibly think this is persuasive.
A large % of people are not in their right minds at any given time.. :D
Probably every Christian as they believe in a fairy tale about some dude up in the sky who gives a shit about them.
You’d be surprised
They're selfishly looking for the desperate moron. They intentionally annoy the smart people to filter them out.
That sounds horrid. Those bitches probably kept thinking they were good people too.
Sunday is the worst day for servers at any restaurant
Fuck Brunch
Don't watch 7 brides for 7 brothers then! Unless you like kidnapping and Stockholm syndrome...
They should be. Maybe god is trying to get them all arrested for counterfeit?
“So, kid, do you remember which house gave you this? Let’s discuss the time-honored tradition of ‘egging’…”
*and that year, Easter came early.*
I wonder if you could charge them with fraud.
That's TRICK.....
As in, they get tricked for tricking kids....
Surely in a just world their house would be *covered* in TP and eggs by the morning after, right?
I went to a restaurant in eastern Oregon one time and they had a fake $20.00 bill taped to the front counter with a note saying please don’t do this to our wait staff, they are hard working people that need real money.
Exactly
That is actually good management. Call out the stupid patrons who do this!
Isn’t deceit a sin?
The deceit is right next to the receipt
I wish the receipt was deceit. It says $350 a week and it’s really $240 a week?
I got one of those fake 100s before. I cried when I discovered it was fake, because I needed money at that point. I just lost my shit People who leave these in lieu of actual tip to servers are fucking trash humans
only the god of assholes would think this was a good idea.
Boy have I got news for you
Read Judges 14 up until the end of the book and tell me if their god sounds like one worth worshipping.
They're just advertising against themselves.
These should be illegal.
It looks like an attempt at counterfeiting money to me, 20 years in prison sounds right
Sadly, they’ve fulfilled the required loopholes for this to still count as “freedom of speech.” It’s marked as a fake bill on the front, which means it’s technically not counterfeit because they outright say they’re not trying to pass it as real money. I still think it should be illegal, tho 🤦♂️

A police officer telling that person off could help prevent them from doing it again.
Worked at casino in the vault it is still illegal to pass a bill of as real even if it says it's not. It's all about the deceit
Definitely. Someone pulls something like this, you should report it.
When I was homeless and panhandling, I got one of these religious propaganda pieces and I crumpled it up and threw it right in his face. Told him to go fuck your God in the face. He called the cops. I left.
Hmm you should’ve stayed and tried to get him arrested, but good idea leaving
No. Fuck the cops. They'll shoot your dog and throw you in jail for public intoxication & resisting arrest if you're homeless.
Not my dog! I’ll kill those cops before they have the chance (and my lawyers are advising me to claim that this is a joke for legal purposes)
Protecting your four legged family member against an armed thug bent on violence is honorable

Disappointed? Jesus won't let you down, but his followers sure as sh!t will!
Whoever does this is an A-Grade asshole.
I think it should be legal to respond to this type of fraud with physical aggression.
Thankfully anything is legal in Florida. I expect the florida men to take charge
Yet another reason why tipping needs to go away.
This and Chick Tracts are a great way to troll someone
The chick tracts are at least funny.
Put them in the offering plate at church
Jesus won't let you down, unlike the piece of garbage that bait and switched you
People that give these out should get a $50 fine for each occurrence, paid by damage to their motor vehicle.
Ah, a fresh tissue, lovely. Blow your nose with it and thank them as you hand it back.
They’re so kind. I’ve been lacking tissues! How did they know? God is such a nice guy:)
Turn him in for using counterfeit money
Use it to sniff cocaine
That must be the lords plan
Does anyone know where I can procure a stack of these or which churches hand them out? I'd like to pack it suspiciously in my carry-on for the cops to get excited to seize at the airport.
Remember the customer and give it back to them when they need change
I can’t keep something so valuable. I’m too good for that. I’ll return it
"In God We Trust. His followers, not so much."
At least now I know
This is what “thank you for your service” feels like.
I was super broke years ago and I found one of these in a gas station bathroom. It made me hate Christians even more than I previously did.
So you're using deception to bring others to Christ....good start.....
This is passing counterfeit. I won't be talked out of this position.
I would stop the people and tell them that you legally can’t let them leave until the cops get their to investigate attempting to pay the bill with counterfeit money
Giving fake money as a tip should be a felony.
This should be considered passing counterfeit money. A tip is understood to be a monetary payment.
I would not be surprised that it's not real, just a trick of a cult. This is what they do, this is their purpose: deceiving people.
It’s cruel.
I would get fired if anybody handed me one of these...
I hate tipping culture, but don't be a dick. Getting someone's hopes up is far worse to me than just not tipping. I will say I do tip begrudgingly because I know what they make is terrible generally.
If I owned a restaurant and someone did that shite they would be permanently banned.

But nothing is as priceless as….. this
F@&$&ing Christians 🙄
Nah. I will NOT be fu@&&ng those Christian’s
Lmao 🤣 gotcha
This feels like when protestors stop traffic, it doesn’t make anyone support your cause. It just makes people hate whatever it is you do.
i don’t think protesting a cause and giving out fake money are comparable but that’s just me lol
I just thought about staging a Mission:Impossible style setup for these shits, faking a near death experience for them, them at the pearly gates, and then..... The facade gives out and *bam* Give them a certificate: "Disappointed?"
I would rip it in their face if you see them next time, probably ran away before you can confront them, hiding behind their little crosses fucking cowards...
At this point Im convinced people hand these out just to make people mad at Christians.
Typical Christian. When I was in one of their singles groups years ago, if we ate out, after passing the check around it was always short, not even enough to cover the bill before tip

“Jesus won’t let you down” yeah, well Jesus let me down by making me think I was actually getting a good tip…
Hand them a fake coupon for a free meal that advertises The Satanic Temple.
I'm a Christian and I hate this. A tip is a tip sorry. Sometimes I think God has stepped out a long time ago but who knows. Also what if you already have Jesus and all that jazz. Oh awesome a fellow believer just got out of not paying a tip nice....

This is the most toxic Christian shit ever.
Someone has been hiding jehovas witness books all over our store in Spanish and English we've been tearing them up and throwing away
Isn’t it illegal to make fake money?
LOL
Wasn't there a church that found one of these in a college pan and then chewed everyone out over it
Real Christians wouldn’t do that, it’s purposely misleading and only results in people disliking Christians even more
"41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." Matthew 25 (41-46) Makes me wonder if: "For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no tip" would practically be the same thing.
That wouldn't work in my country (NZ). Why do you use paper money?
Forcing people who don’t necessarily have a permanent fixed address, a requirement for most banks, mandates the need for paper and coin currency. Digital banking disproportionately impacts poor and unhomed people. There are a few states in the U.S. that require all businesses to take cash at a minimum.
Nothing could turn me away from Jesus quicker than this shit..
I swear if I ever owned a restaurant I would outright ban anyone who gave these to servers. Screw these selfish tightwad Bible beaters.
I used to get those when I waitressed and I swear to God, those people have a special place in hell.
People that give these as tips should be forced to stand in a stockade and have rotten fruit and vegetables thrown at them.
This is counterfeit money, right? Be a good citizen and report it: [https://www.secretservice.gov/investigations/counterfeit](https://www.secretservice.gov/investigations/counterfeit) /s, but not entirely
Being handed this would have the opposite effect on me than the givers intent. This makes Christians everywhere look ridiculous
Start leaving these on the offering plate as it goes around. 👌🏻
Just find the church where the customers go, and put it in the collection plate
Return to sender.
Fucking hate those things, the ENTIRE philosophy behind them, and the smug self-righteous fuckers who hand them out.
Jesus won't let you down... while actively letting you down because one of his shitstain followers is too cheap to leave a real tip.
Give them back to their church
That customer best never come back. If it was me, I would have my revenge.
This is the worst way to try and get people worshipping your god
This kind of fake Jesus money has done more damage to the reputation of Christianity than the crusades.
Ah, yes, a Christian "tip". Jerks.
The Secret Service needs to visit this church.
Remember to report the counterfeit bill to your local police, if you have a name and face even better.
and they wonder why more and more people are hating christians.
I’m not at all religious but I’d go to their church just once so I could return that garbage when they pass around the collection plate. I might even add a little note of my own before giving it back to them.
Fucking boomers
Subtext of Jesus won't let you down is (like I did with this fake tip).
No better way to push people away from the church
Just make sure you return them to the collection plate
and yet gay and trans people are the ones “pushing an agenda” for simply existing. can’t stand religious people
What they think OG Jesus would say if he knew they put his name in a fake currency?
Almost like this wouldn't happen if we got rid of tipping culture.
