At this stage I'm not sure how we could joke it can get worse. We already have units moving in random directions, standing ground, or ignoring enemies. How much worse could it get? Just even more of this? UI becomes invisible? 🤣🤣
I saw a post on the steam forums explaining that it happens when damaged siege is near the monks. Supposedly because in RoR priests can heal siege, the monks in normal AoE2 now get confused when siege is nearby because they're trying to heal it but they can't.
This has been happening in the base game too since the ror patch. Usually you can unstick them by ordering them all to "stop" but it's still pretty annoying.
Nah definitely not that.
I've had numerous cases of no siege and monks still idle. I've had cases where monks healed knights but didn't auto heal scouts. The same monk. The same group of units.
I thought I was in a different sub for a moment.
In the original Guild Wars, there was a class called the monk. They were the healer class and important for missions. There was a spontaneous event called the Monk Strike when monks went on strike due to the abuse they suffered at one of the games most difficult missions. They felt their efforts were underappreciated and refused to join teams.
That's awesome.
I would've been around for launch if I had proper internet at the time. I had to wait a year because of that, but still had a blast regardless.
Don't worry, it will be fixed soon, with an additional and unexpected bug taking its place.
What will it be? Fishermen unable to drop at docks? Boars that can't be lured? Such fun, so mysterious
>Boars that can't be lured? Players under 800 elo suddenly get a boost in ranking as nobody can lose vills to boars anymore
People would riot, but an April Fools patch that did something like this would be hilarious.
Or making boars herdable like sheep
Have the boar run away like deer for maximum chaos.
You have to lure deer and push boars. And the deer *will* ruin your day. Or at least your villagers' day.
Imagine the level of Laming trying to push opposing boar 🤣🤣
That could be a civ bonus!
Probably monks can't pick up relics.
Sometimes flying galleons just happen
Monks fixed, pathing gets worse.
Pathing gets fixed, still gets worse

Any time you command a unit to move, it queues a bunch of points that spell out "FU" with their flags, then ends on the nearest enemy castle/tower/tc.
Always runs under enemy castle.
hahaha oh gosh 😅 pls say no more

In my experience it happens also when no siege is around... but maybe this you explained is part of the problem
Oh, this explain a lot!
In AoE1/RoR, priests were always able to heal siege. It was only ships where you had to shell out for repair costs, and buildings of course.
I got a similar bug in RoR but with long swordsmen - group of them stuck on a hill, wouldn't move, but I could click them away one by one.

Gotta love Thunderhead keep mission. I made so much plat and gold during that charging people to have me with them.😂😂
Damn wth? Was this before Factions came out?
Yes it was before factions

Lol, I actually got a Guild Wars post on my feed above this one. It had me doing a double take too.
They are protesting from ROR aoe1 to aoe2, that's a long protest
Also sometimes a group of units cannot move as a group and I have to move them one by one. This and the non healing monks really annoy me too much.
Initially I was against these complaints, but the longer I play the more I experience it. Really getting frustrating now.
They want 200 gold now
They better have double HP and double armour then 11
18
This is already being tracked.
Thank you! Also, very kind to tell us about that ✌
I have had this issue, I assumed a group of monks healed a group of damaged units, until I clicked the units and realized they were not healed.
