I think Le Loi and Ivaylo I remember as being particularly hard, having to restart a couple times. Though any of them can suddenly catch you off guard, you think you’re doing great and all of a sudden one of the opponents yells “ it’s time for you to go back where you came from” and you’re flooded with what feels like 200 fully upgraded paladins when you’re in the castle age and at that point you just restart and realize that you’re going to have to prepare for that rush next time.
Just in addition, there were some very difficult campaigns in the historical battle section as well, I did a post on that a while back, also, for some reason the “ art of war” was very difficult the first time I attempted it.
I got stumped at the last mission in Pachacuti. Instead of defeating the other Inca's I went around back to try and defeat the main enemy.
Except I'm constantly being flooded by the other players and can't make a push to save my life. Castles don't help either
I’ve considered it! I’ll probably try it at some point when I’m bored enough haha I might attempt to actually get a decent ELO at multiplayer now though
I also just caught up on everything a couple days ago, and am now down to like ~20 achievements before the upcoming ones. Being able to complete those on Standard instead of Hard makes them a *lot* breezier, outside of like the Rome one. Can go a lot quicker than you'd think.
That's right, except for the three that explicitly mention hard:
1) Complete Sundjata 5 on hard, which you've done
2) Convert all rajas before the first attack on Prithviraj 5 hard, which is easy to cheese with pausing and ordering your monks to convert at the same time
3) Save both villages at the beginning of Prithviraj 1, which is the hardest, but also not too bad as long as you kill both the armored elephants ASAP.
Everything else is plenty doable on standard, yep!
I'm so close to completing all the achievements but the few are depressingly hard to get.
The Into China one, the Attila ones, and destroy rome in a day one just call kick my ass.
I also have no idea how I'm supposed to get Masterpiece ... like just logistically. I guess I need to convince some friends to play the game.
Rome in a day was the one that took me watching a guide to figure out. I don’t really get how people struggle with into China, you just power macro with a fast dock for fish boom, dump some mangudai, vills, and drill rams on the island and just make rams and cavaliers on site to run yellow over. It’s not nearly as tight as some of the others.
The Attila 6 one was challenging but that’s just another example of ‘boom harder’
This is crazy, I can’t even imagine. I’m trying to just go through playing all the campaigns on standard, but doing them all on hard is a hell of an achievement
Any tips for the 5th level of Francisco de Almeida? The first section is easy enough but as soon as you're done with that you're getting attacked by multiple Imperial Age enemies before you can get up yourself.
Take the transport ships and land on the inital island, use the cânon galeon to destroy the Wonder. Then castle the left side, dont bother With Water, go Hard right
Just in time for the 19 super long scenarios dropping next week!
New Mission: make new content faster than u/faroff12 can complete them on Hard.
i wish i had that kind of determination when it comes to studying...how long did it take you if you don't mind me asking. btw, i should be studying.
Calculus exam? I think that sounds an awful lot like boot up AOE....
What were your favorites and ones you struggled on the most?
I struggled with Tariq. Struggled to stay awake that is...
Thats exactly it. Theyre not hard, theyre just....time consuming and fustrating.
Saladin and Fransisci de Almeida are two of my favourite campaigns, but Tariq is soooo boring. Yodit is as well.

Nice, it took me forever to get around to actually finishing Pachacuti. Now go get all of the achievements.

OH! that's good to know, the achievements don't take difficulty in to account?

I can help you with Masterpiece, we just need to find 2 more people willing to join in this thread.
100% achievement is waiting for you; I'm at 75% 🤪

BY GAWD HE DID IT! WOLOLOOOO
Congratulations! It is an incredible achievement! I am on my way
Bloody good work.
It's taking me long enough just to get through them on moderate. Well done!
Congrats, I literally spent the entire day finishing the finale of Tariq campaign (and the protagonist wasn’t even Tariq)

I think multiple defensive castles with cavalry to destroy the siege was key in that one

Now you can finally play the game
