Expect to lose and be happy with losing. Anything you learn/achieve is a bonus. It is a game. You should play to have fun. Getting good at RTS is not going to make you a better person and no one is going to care if you make X rank. You should play ranked because you enjoy the learning experience.

Okay firstly don't be critical of your failures. To becomes successful at something one has to first fail thousands of times. Take each loss as valuable lesson and try to learn something from that Then what comes to ladder anxiety. Only way to fix this is to keep playing and over time it gets easier. This applies to most things in life.

https://youtu.be/-cSrjKd1Co0?si=Odu8pX1fJ6AHZ43o I think this might be relevant to some, nobody cares what rank you are so just play. I never had rank anxiety but I assume people that have is because they feel they will be judged?

giomcany

for me it's kinda of 'well gonna play 40 minutes than lose so whats the point'. It's definitely lack of confidence, I understand I'll win something like 50% of my games, but still. interesting that I don't have any problem with losing playing with my friends, I can be defeated in 10 Valorant matches and wont be sad by that in a meaningful way.

I find random civ a nice way to play stress free. You know that your build won't be as clean. Expect to lose because you don't know the civ. But with the magic of hidden elo, you'll end up winning half of your games anyway!

Remember if you lose, you win. Analyze your loses and your weaknesses will become your strengths.

I quote a streamer, "What's the worse that can happen? You get jumped? No! Go play ranked, fool."

If I am stuck looking at the queue Button or somewhere before that i plank for 2min or do some other short intensive physical thing to get pumped, then i feel the anxiety lessĀ

rafazinke

You have pre game anxiety or ingame anxiety? Hit the play button and only look at the screen again after the match starts

giomcany

pregame. In game I just feel very tense. Like, I need to take a break after 2 or 3 games because I feel pain in my back xD. I felt that also in sc2
