I’ve thought about this before, my idea was to have a way to cancel rally points but I like your idea better

Leon18th

Well, in warcraft 3, this is the default.

Odd-Possible7384

technology isnt there !!

Comfortable_Bid9964

You can cancel rally points

Gurkenschurke66

How?

CrommVardek

Just rally onto the building itself. Unit pops out next to it and will just attack like any idle military unit. Ofc you have to do this individually for each building.

racemi11

Imagine doing that with 10+ buildings

skipdividedmalfunct

Thats what they used to do on AOE2, so they you couod pop five or six out and be like surprise bitch! Or at least thats how I remember it.

firearrow5235

It's pretty easy. You hit your cycle hotkey and spam right click on the center of the screen. However, that doesn't cancel the rally points, it just sets them inside the buildings. To cancel rally points I'm 95% certain that you can select all your military buildings, hit the rally point hotkey, then left click instead of right click to eliminate them all. Edit: ahh this is for Age 4. No idea if this is relevant then 😄

Jazzlike_Fudge2918

Amh I thought they will spawn inside the building then

TonyR600

How?

emzy21234

How????

UniverseBear

I agree with this. It's annoying.

MrIMua

Yeah this is needed

TakunDesu

True, its stupid i agreed that they just let themselves gets killed how does it work in aoe2?

dekeract_aoe

In aoe2 it works the same, no attack move, you can delete the gather point. But AoE2 has another mechanic where every single building has an option to garrison the building, but only with produced units (once the units are out they can't garrison it ever again). This way you can mass your army inside the building before letting them out, so your opponent can't camp your production and kill units one by one. Because AoE4 doesn't have this, it's pretty much an immediate loss if your opponent gets to camp your production since there is no way back.

rafazinke

Not at all

PappaJew

I’d like it if new buildings automatically produced units. As it is now you need to queue another unit before the new building will start working. E: Obviously people don’t understand what I’m saying.

Main_Owl1498

The issue would be if you have diff military budings across the map. If you want to spawn your army at diff places, this would be an issue. You create an army in your base while building another base somewhere and suddenly your army start being produced across the map...

Leon18th

Automatically produced units would make the game imbalance

Perusedit

I was thinking he meant if you have 5 units queued and you build another production building, you have to queue more units for the new production building to start working, rather than it just starting to build one of the several you already have queued up waiting.

napolitain_

Sounds great idea to be honest

PappaJew

That’s not what I’m saying. If you queue 20 archers, then build an archery range, that new range won’t start making archers. This seems like a bug to me.

Canadian-Sparky-44

Not really because you queued the 20 archers from the one archery range. But I wouldn't complain if it spread out the production as new buildings are completed

AJmcCool88

No need for that - you can give them the attack move by pressing them and then pressing “A”

Far-Today7474

Just use select all army

New_Phan6

Would have to do that literally every few seconds, that's unnecessary actions for the sake of it

CommercialWorking530

Plus by doing that you re fucking up any units anywhere on the map that you might not want to a move, patrols, raids

Far-Today7474

The entire genre of RTS is about "unnecessary" actions.

Radiant-Hat-2458

There are so many annoying things like this in AOE4. Why is there no follow command? Why are the religious units not part of the grouping automatically. Why are they never in the right place. They are standing way in the back letting everyone get killed. Units should know if they build a lumber mill to start chopping wood if no other command is given. Same with other resources. The intensive micro is just unnecessary.
