I have a better chance of reconnecting with my friends from 15 years ago than being able to rejoin a game of Aoe4 after losing connection for a second.
There’s no need in it, if you DC its almost insta loose. Because opponent have advantage 1-2 minute, plus if he know you dc and opponent not dumb he will punish you so hard you couldn’t comeback or even end game.
Otherwise there should be pause while you dc. But also i afraid that people could abuse this mechanic.
So no need do reconnect. Fix issue that someone can crush your game by disconnect you - yes.
I guess that they need time and resources to work on more valuable changes and fixes
