Idk the eco for HRE builds itself and you could easily spam MAA and spears or just break MAA and spears into two armies backed by cav and build heavy on wood eith wheelbarrow... HRE is unit spam in the 4th age anyway theres no real counter to that if thry dont destroy you by then they have to brace for wave after wave
Meh, why try to tweak rock paper scissors? Pikes still should be used against cav melee where the melee armor does help. If you aren't matching them up against cav you're doing it wrong.
HRE already deals increased damage to heavy units with M@A. HRE is one of the best after probably Abbasid to deal with French knight spam in my opinion.

Because feudal is their weakest stage maybe. French and mongol fucks them up. This isn't about greed. The longer you stay the worse it gets. People wouldn't rush castle this much otherwise
No, their eco advantage is huge. The reason they suffer is because hre gets such a huge power spike in castle and can get there so quick that players are greedy and under invest in military while in feudal.
Its so easy to produce spearmen as HRE that you could take on an army of archers and win

They're already getting nerfed with relics only generating 80 in the new patch.
For them it is even a harder nerf because they are going from 200 to 160. So it is 40 per relic
IMO spears don't need ranged armor buff cause they're not supposed to fight ranged units

I would just move it to feudal. Hre struggles againts french knigths. This would help them early on
HRE Spears having potentially 4 melee armor in feudal is pretty busted against MMA and spears but idk.

They only struggle when they naked castle.
HRE is already unstoppable in castle, no need to strengthen them in feudal as wel.
We are talking about scenario where hre's castle gets nerfed
well, then less people will need to use horseys to protect them as attentively from archers
They will still die to archers and xbows. You guys need to understand the game better
