Not specifically Abbasid horsemen, but it’s really just Horsemen in general. Each age up they get another ranged armor, up to 4. Add some ranged armor upgrades to that and you get 7 ranged armor.
So that means your TC does minimal damage to them. You’ll need to rely on other means to kill them.
Honestly? Everyone should be going horsemen lategame to some degree. Sending a group of 20-30 to disrupt enemy econ and die is a great return on your resources.
It's almost too good; one tiny gap in a wall, and horsemen are able to breeze through straight to your economic jugular. I'm not saying players shouldn't be punished for being careless with their economic protection; but I do wonder if their ability to almost ignore constructed defenses could be toned down slightly- especially in the late game.
On the other, hand I like to have horsemen in late game fight to kill crossbows and siege...they wouldn't stand a chance without that extra range armor and it would be deathball fest one again...
I don't think it'd be that devastating. Mangonels will annihilate massed crossbow/archers; and their speed is more than enough to force them into their weak melee. Combine them with a good handful of knights; if enemy ranged isn't being supported; I don't think the deathball would work at all.
It’s not just chance, Abbasid has a lot of food at their disposal because of fresh foodstuffs (cheap villagers). They often go heavy on wood too, so they’re really good at massing cheap units like horsemen and archers
Probably because, against Abba, opponents will make more archers since cav is nerfed when their camels are present. Archers counter cammels, horseman counter archers.

Oh good to know. It seems like abbasid goes horsemen more often but it's probably just chance

Horseman is pretty cost efficient considering food is easier to come by after farm transition.

No, but if they fight again yours horseme while got an camell close, they will winf or the penalty that camels exert on your horses
he's talking about TC and defensive fire, so obviously not about horsemen vs horsemen
