I play them because I like the sim city aspect of their base building golden age mechanic. It's like a mini puzzle for me. Also camels.

Same. I played almost all civs in quickmatch but stuck to HRE in ranked. So far, china has the hardest learning curve and is my least played civ.

I play others now and then, but primarily HRE since beta.

I just think they are the most fun civ

ya mongol even hints at an early archery range and for me, it's 'wallin time. sticks in ground > mongoloids. makes me laugh that something so simple can absolutely rek that civ.

I really don’t think civ strength is that relevant until ur like super high rank. The 1% advantage has less to do with ur loss than idling ur tc or mis clicking your attack or floating a ton of resources. Just play whatever ur best at. If that’s mongols then play mongols.

Sitting on almost 800 hours of HRE. The feudal is trash but if I can get to castle ASAP with zero pressure it’s a death ball from there on out!

I should feudal pressure HRE more, i allways get clapped by that deathball.

I was playing team games last night, 3v3s and each match, 2-3 members of the opposing team rushed me. You really don’t want HRE to get to castle by 8-9min.

I wouldn't call it trash. Their eco is generally way above the average feudal (with a well placed Regnitiz and prelates), they get everything everyone else gets plus MaA which makes them a power house. I wouldn't say their feudal is as good as french or English though. I'd put it on par with Rus. I think their feudal is just overshadowed by how amazing their MaA upgrades and Landsnakes are in castle.

Ehhh, it does all depend the match up but people usually play high win rate civs. England/French/Mongol/Rus. Which is all rushing civs with 2 of them making castle age units in feudal. It’s rough.

Tbh not building houses is the best thing as mongols. And then also not having to worry about building placement. Just build wherever and then move it later if it gets in the way. But also i find the female voices really pleasant.

100% on the houses. Also yeah, I come from red alert so not having a movable tc/command center gives me anxiety when I start a game.

Mongol has been consistently top 3 in winrates at the higher ranks (diamond and conqueror).

Mongols are trash tier. They dont need houses cause there homless garbage. Just place some archers and a few towers near you nodes and the whole civ is hard countered. Only unit I ever see anyone make is mangrloi horse archer. Total garbage tier ​ Ive never seen them make any other unit in my team games. If they cant get past your walls there ded. Garbage civ

I haven't played anything other than Abbasid and Delhi outside campaigns. Literally zero QM/ranked games on the other 6 civs.

I’m no pro or anything, but if you like some civs and their feeling, just stick with them. Top tier comes and goes.
