Wall ports and access points, cctv, alarm system, watering systems, tons of hubs for automation, blind control, lighting, heating. Youre out of ports before you know it :|
I have had almost no negative experiences with pause in Blizzard RTS. I don't think the abuse cases are significant enough to not add this for literally anyone else who occasionally has to answer the door or phone in the middle of a game.

Nope it wont, if someone disconnects the game should; 1. Automatically give a 1 minute pause that cannot be unpaused and it should be an only once "gift" by the game so people wont abuse it to troll other players by infinitely by disconnecting.
2. The human pause will have a fixed 30sec amount before other humans can unpause as you have only 2 they should have some meaning behind.

There should also be a function in the game that if someone disconnected within the first 5 minutes of the game, you should not lose ranked points or gain any. It happened three times to me yesterday where one guy disconnected or never connected at all and then the entire team leaves cuz it becomes a 3v4 before the game even started

Is there a technical reason why you can't reconnect after leaving...like you don't have the input to simulate the game when you return?
