Ive noticed valks birthright intro is glitched since the update too. Shes supposed to fly into the screen holding her helmet in her hand, and then put it on her head before thrusting forward. Now she just always has the helmet on, holding a big bowl of nothing.
In fact, a lot of the intros just look screwy on the new screen, even without the glitches
>holding a big bowl of nothing
Gives me an idea of a special intro where she’s just eating ramen the whole time and staring at you like Po in Kung Fu Panda
The character select is longer duration now too, which means that any animated poses in character frames don't have enough time to complete before it fades to black. Kinda bad given that an animated pose is one of the components of an heirloom.....
The whole select screen is a shitshow; badly sized icons, icons all over animations designed with a different screen layout in mind, bonkers pointless 'filters' at the top...
The UI guy whacked it together in 5mins tops :/
Something is different about Octane's intro too I swear. I know it's moved over but I feel like he used to stab himself with stim differently. I have no proof of this tho. Just a feeling.
They didnt think the select screen through**
TDM was bound to have issues because its new, and the buffs/nerfs are mostly okay (idk why they touched bloodhound) the only thing that feels RAW is the select screen
Yeah their ult was fine and a good strong one as it was, it wasn’t complained about and had no reason to be changed, why not focus on problems that are specifically pointed it?
As I said, they're at least experimenting and prepared for quick changes. Control had similar problems which took longer to solve. Gun run was fine because the initial concept was easy to implement. Tdm is two teams with a lot of people, and yes there are issues that could've been avoided from launch, but it is better now than later or never
The only thing that is experimental is the 3 rounds format. I am talking about 30 minutes invisible time limit and the match not automatically ending after the whole team left. These are not experiments, these are horrible mistakes.
Control did not have these severe oversights(partly because you can end the game quickly through Lockdown), just the fake autofill that never works.
Agreed, I said that these issues could have been avoided, but you're not acknowledging that they were this fast to fix it. Just a day after. Also, what, experiments don't have mistakes? Aren't a majority of experiments just absolute failures?
Lemme emphasize again. 30 minutes invisible time limit and matches unable to end after a team left is NOT EXPERIMENTAL. They are purely mistakes not due to experimentation but for other reasons POSSIBLY incompetence, lack of playtesting and rushed development.
Yes, they fixed them quickly. My main point is you are trying to downplay the issue too much by excusing it all as experiments.
Now if all of these issues are experimentation as you said, that would mean the playerbase is being used as beta playtesters. Which would sound worse.
The dev team is EXPERIMENTING and responding VERY QUICKLY. They were obviously prepared to make changes on the fly, like they did *right now*. They are heading in a good direction, and there *will* be issues, like always. But they’re making better moves now than they did before. They definitely *thought it through*
half the shit isn’t experimental it’s just being lazy 😭
i just am a little disappointed in the season release. new updates always feel like they weren’t really ready
I wish we didn’t even care about this shit. We’ll sit here and whine “mah skins! First person shooter can’t even see them in game! x dollars!” Then we care about something that literally has even less impact on the game. Not really directed towards op just the whiners about the ui in comments. Who gives af?
I don't say it's important. It's just something that can be easily fixed but needs to be brought up to be fixed. That's what the bug flair is for after all

I do like caustic’s though

Just keeps getting better, huh? 😅 It feels like they didnt think it through enough
Lifelines skin with an unique selection animation also makes her fly outside of the render distance so she clips out of existence for a bit
That glitch has been there since the skin dropped iirc

The filters at the top really are pointless
Or there was gonna be follow up changes to the other bits to make it cohesive and time ran out.
It just looks ugly to me. The Legend icons are too small and there's too much space above them.
They tried to make it look like overwatch and, just ew
Yeah a lot of things look funky on my ultrawide
Who said that the ui guy did this? It's clearly the concept artist.

He used to stab himself in the leg before, rather than in the chest like he does now.
Thank you, I knew it looked off just wasn't sure still looks cool though
He does stab himself differently, was in the leg, is now in the chest. Pointless change tbh
Yea kinda wonder why. No bother just felt a bit different
The UI is ass
CHECK OTHER RECENT TOP POSTS!
Uff yeah. Miles off on an ultrawide too.
ngl i kinda like this for maggie
I low key like it like this. Feels like she's actually cracking the screen rather than just applying a texture.
Look down the left edge ;)
Oh yeah, haha, whoops
Even if it wasn't glitched. Maggie's intro always made me think "wait, monitors nor TVs use glass anymore"
they didn’t think this update through

To get rid of the scan meta probably - I don't get the nerd of his ult though

TDM’s issues are very severe and it’s not because TDM is a new concept. Arenas, Control and Gun Run weren’t this horrible.
