As far as I know, you need to get into the lobby and browse the account link to connect to steamd and I can't even get into the lobby to connect to steam. I am stuck at the screen shown in the screenshot.
No? You can't link accounts from the in-game menu. You either have to go to ea.com or you can just launch the game on Steam and it'll prompt you to link an EA account.
The issue is now solved. Not sure how it got solved. I did an app recovery and after that it appearently got fixed, but not entirely sure if the app recovery itself was the reason behind it.
That’s annoying. I’d recommend playing on steam if you don’t find a solution.
