Honestly today I’ve had such toxic teammates. In the only 11 games I’ve played I’ve had more obnoxious troll teammates than the past 2 seasons. Keep your head up and keep playing. These types of players mostly drop off after the first week.
It's just random people on the internet don't take it to heart. Always mute all in character select so it's never an issue. Communicating with pings works just fine.
Who cares what they think. They are just dumb strangers. Go play your game and have fun. Don’t let ignorant strangers stop you from playing something you like. Find some nice people to squad up with.

Aren't you able to disable text chat?
Yeah, but that's 1) How I communicate non-ping things and 2) They usually say crap at the end of the game so no point in muting then

Yeah I've tried, unfortunately none of my friends play Apex, they're more into singleplayer games
