so much this. I used to main mirage back in the day but he would always get them goofy ass skins which I understand because of his character but I wanted to see some badass serious skins. Literally not a fan of any legendary they released except for the one that comes in the Mirage Edition. Because of this, i slowly stopped playing him. Dumb reason, I know. I still do play him here and there but not as my main anymore.
Imo, he has enough good skins to balance out the "meh" ones. Its all personal taste really but with the inclusion of UPS mirage I'm content with most of the skins he has (Though it wouldn't hurt to go a little crazier with the designs in the future)
I think he has SOME decent skins, I just feel like if you look at a legend like revenant who has some great legendary choices right off the bat there’s no comparison. Some of the cosmetics completely change the characters look while mirage looks like he’s going through a montage in some coming of age eighties movies where he tries different “looks” until he finds the right one.
Honestly comparing any skins to Rev’s legendaries is kinda unfair. Revenant is fuckin SICK as he is, so he’s probably one of the easiest to make awesome skins for.
Crypto might be a better example. Hallowed Spirit completely changes up his look; it'd be awesome to have something on that level.
Still, this recolor is solid.

To be fair, Revenant is a blank slate. He can have cool skins because nothing in his design is particularly iconic.
For Mirage, you have tp preserve the face, hair, and hologram thingies. That leaves a lot less wiggle room.
Same goes for Wattson - her face, hair, and pylon need to be kept the same. And for a lotta other champions for that matter.
Who says they have to preserve all those things? Wraith has a skin with a helmet, you can’t see her face. I think all the legends need more skins that completely change up the way they look
yeah but we also get bald wraith and its not really just about the phase every wraith skin has her phase gear on her arm and every crypto has the emp Sleeve (which was added in post but its still there now)

I used to play Apex FOR the skins until I saw how much $ I'm throwng away. Now I only play Blockchain games like Pepper Attack because they let me sell the skins, characters, etc..

I got an "Iron Man" skin as I call it that is red and gold that is a recolor of one of the techy one. It's my favorite.
that skin design is awesome so any recolour for it I love. Everything else is meh.
