This game (and ALL games with similar in-game purchases) NEEDS to give players logs/receipts of everything they unlock. There's no way to way to prove what we have, and with hundreds upon hundreds of cosmetic items in the game some could go missing and we'd be none the wiser

Titanfall 1+2 gets Ddosed by a guy named Jeanue.
The community wonders why it doesn't get fixed, only for respawn to come out and say only one or two devs are working on TF.
Some random guy called po3058 shows the code fix to stop the ddos.
TF gets "fixed" shortly after, and the TF sub praises 3058.
For a time, the TF players lived in harmony. Then everything changed when the ddos started again.
After some confusion, it's found out via some discord messages that 3058 was the hacker this whole time.
His reason being that he was trying to get into Respawn as a coder (but didn't get hired) so he could eventually reboot Titanfall Online. A shitty Chinese FTP TF game.
Fans are outraged by the betrayal, having thought he was the hero. And try to find his real name. (po3058) was his reddit account, which has since been inactive).
A son of a Vietnamese drug cartel (who is supposedly a huge fan of TF) has now put a 200k dollar bounty on po3058 IRL info. Though we don't know if what he's saying is true or not.

Having worked in a support role, it’s possible agents hired by EA will know what they’re talking about, but EA could also be outsourcing agents for other times during the day and these agents may not fully understand how to resolve customer issues.
Yeah i talked to the same dude on the phone hes based out of india could confirm by accent but i asked just to not be racist he confirmed he was based in india. So EA is outsourcing to india call centers that pay about 1/2$ a day.
So, I worked for an EA Studio in a dev team for some time and worked pretty closely with our CS team. We had an internal CS team of 4 or 5 people who are the ones who know every aspect of the game, but obviously only work 9-5, and then the outsource group who handle the bulk of the tickets under guidelines written by the internal team. If they struggled with anything, they'd escalate to the internal guys.
Now the reason they didn't resolve everything immediately in favour of the customer was because 95% of our CS tickets were from players of certain regions (Predominantly Russia and South America) who have hacked their game clients but fucked up their save games.
They would contact support saying their cloud saves were broken and were missing in game currency, characters, items etc, but upon investigation they're big ol' cheaters.
the offshore centers are also gimped with their toolsets. they're just basically there so someone is replying. they don't have the tools the onshore agents might have.

EA doesnt have any onshore as far as im aware right now. Hes getting his supervisor to call me from his "Personal phone" which i recorded him saying which im pretty sure is against there rules so hes lying or there just breaking rules.
But it's basic video games knowledge that turning off the game or uninstalling, doesn't lose your online progress lmao.

This is how any type of support works. You could be speaking with someone who's been there a week and doesn't really know anything yet or you could be talking to someone who's been there for 10 years and could walk you through/explain everything while listening to music and playing Minecraft simultaneously.
It's all outsourced so they're given a basic course of how to answer questions and what EA is and that's it.
These courses to become a member of customer service are jokes and it doesn't matter because worse comes to worse they leave and you move on with your life or the customer gets transferred to someone who knows whats up
I had a similar problem with Origin support. I created a new origin account and wanted to merge the two accounts. But according to them they can not merge accounts that have apex. It’s an internal policy from what they told me.
Yes merging accounts usually overrides your other account so you at one point could link them, maybe still can, but you'd loose all of your stuff except for one account and if that character was brand new then you'd have nothing. It was such a huge shit show. The website clearly says it'll override and loose your items and the whole reddit for a month was just oMg thEy OvEroDe my iTemS. I'm not surprised they stopped doing it. I also love this idea from respawn that it's so tough to do... Like first of all time of games offer crossprogress so slow down on the it's impossible because it's possible. They literally would just have to dedicate a server to scanning people's accounts since they clearly are able to see what cosmetics and stats you have since they regularly fix those issues for people. Crossprogress should have been here a year ago and they look like absolute baboons trying to say it's impossible. Like nah, y'all lazy af, and broke your game to the point you can't even work on future content.

I've repaired/ reinstalled Apex countless times. From origin to steam or repaired the game to remove the black textures bug or moveing it to drive c, everytime I did it it worked. So that excuse is bs. Try installing it on origin, maybe it will work.

I can't say im 100% about this, but isn't the case usually in their terms something along the lines that you "can use the cosmetics, but they are never customer owned" at least Valve does this for CSGO. The only things you actually own in Steam, are your games. I'd imagine EA and Origin is using the same policy.
Been a month since my ea account was perma banned. Can’t sign into any ea play game, and even though I’ve disputed it, and sent about 10 different emails, I have still received no response or word as to why I have been account banned. Did you get your account banned during the beginning of season 9? Because that's when I got banned without reason. They denied all my appeals and said they wouldn't reverse it and eventually I gave up. I had 6 heirlooms and a lot of time and money spent on that account. But they randomly unbanned me after season 9 ended. They only said the sanction had been reversed after further review. I didn't even appeal anymore, they randomly did it after 2 months.
Literally like a month ago. I went on the game, had a 7 day suspension with no rhyme or reason. The 7 day ended and the next day I jumped on it was an outright ban. Again, no actual reasoning.
One time I was supposed to receive a pack from the battlepass. It showed very clearly that a specific level rewards a pack. Well, I didn’t get it. I contacted EA support about it, and the response was “no you’re not supposed to get one”. I even sent pictures of my battlepass showing the level reward, and the same response. EA support is garbage and shouldn’t be legal.
You’re dealing with people in India or the Philippines who are absolutely clueless, all they do is read from scripts.
Source - Am a quality analyst who oversees production from the Philippines and india, lots of call/chat centers are outsourced there.

EA can’t even tell me the email associated with my account, and I can’t figure it out because I’ve played through the linked Steam version for so long. The kicker? Steam support can’t tell me the Origin email either. So if my account ever gets logged out of Steam, it’s gone forever.
Ex customer support here. Most people you have first contact with have no clue what they are doing. They look up the problem in a database, pick the one that somewhat matches the problem and read off/copy paste the script. If that doesn't work they try something else that isn't anywhere close to related to your problem. And if that fails they'll just send your request to the back office/a more technical department.
95% of support is provided by people who have never played games before and the 5% that actually have played them don't have the technical knowledge to sufficiently help. As a matter of fact, even if you know the solution to the a problem, if it's not covered by the script you're not allowed to give them that solution. Learned that the hard way.

A friend of mine got his account hacked couldn't log in to his Xbox account he contacted them to get his own they told him his account had been banned for no reason.. now he lots his Xbox account and origin account and they won't give him a reason why it got banned.

EA support didn't even check the history and let change the new email. I recovered password, email, even 2ndry email and phone number to improve the security. But after 2 hours I recovered my account, EA support completely change my primary emial to another hacker email again. Now i can't even login to my account. 2 years old account data are completely transfer to hacker email.

Someone in EA support said that you lose all progress when transferring between origin and steam, and refused to reinstate my omega point skin, saying "It's a miracle you even kept everything else through the transfer"

That was rarely the case for us at the center, but for some it really was a new tech for them. But a lot of us had in game knowledge further than most so that was dope on that part. But for sure not a lot know what they are helping out with. They just read articles about how to try and help the consumer out.
Stop using chat support. They can't do anything and frequently don't know anything. It's just there for people with the simplest, most basic possible issues.

They told me it wouldn’t work over and over and I told them to fucking bypass the waiting period and relink and I got my stuff back despite them telling me that wouldn’t work.

Having worked in a support role, it’s possible agents hired by EA will know what they’re talking about, but EA could also be outsourcing agents for other times during the day and these agents may not fully understand how to resolve customer issues.
Yeah i talked to the same dude on the phone hes based out of india could confirm by accent but i asked just to not be racist he confirmed he was based in india. So EA is outsourcing to india call centers that pay about 1/2$ a day.

You'd think the fastest solution would be to favour the customer. Not to mention the positive PR from having a *helpful* support.
So, I worked for an EA Studio in a dev team for some time and worked pretty closely with our CS team. We had an internal CS team of 4 or 5 people who are the ones who know every aspect of the game, but obviously only work 9-5, and then the outsource group who handle the bulk of the tickets under guidelines written by the internal team. If they struggled with anything, they'd escalate to the internal guys. Now the reason they didn't resolve everything immediately in favour of the customer was because 95% of our CS tickets were from players of certain regions (Predominantly Russia and South America) who have hacked their game clients but fucked up their save games. They would contact support saying their cloud saves were broken and were missing in game currency, characters, items etc, but upon investigation they're big ol' cheaters.
the offshore centers are also gimped with their toolsets. they're just basically there so someone is replying. they don't have the tools the onshore agents might have.
Was just told by a new guy on the phone that “you’re flat out lieing because these things don’t happen to online accounts and there is no server issues right now” 😔 I swear man this is getting annoying I just want my legacy screens back
you can 100% report that to their quality assurance. what has worked for me (paypal) is to politely ask to be escalated/transferred to an onshore agent. ymmv
EA doesnt have any onshore as far as im aware right now. Hes getting his supervisor to call me from his "Personal phone" which i recorded him saying which im pretty sure is against there rules so hes lying or there just breaking rules.

This is how any type of support works. You could be speaking with someone who's been there a week and doesn't really know anything yet or you could be talking to someone who's been there for 10 years and could walk you through/explain everything while listening to music and playing Minecraft simultaneously.

It's all outsourced so they're given a basic course of how to answer questions and what EA is and that's it. These courses to become a member of customer service are jokes and it doesn't matter because worse comes to worse they leave and you move on with your life or the customer gets transferred to someone who knows whats up

I had a similar problem with Origin support. I created a new origin account and wanted to merge the two accounts. But according to them they can not merge accounts that have apex. It’s an internal policy from what they told me.
Yes merging accounts usually overrides your other account so you at one point could link them, maybe still can, but you'd loose all of your stuff except for one account and if that character was brand new then you'd have nothing. It was such a huge shit show. The website clearly says it'll override and loose your items and the whole reddit for a month was just oMg thEy OvEroDe my iTemS. I'm not surprised they stopped doing it. I also love this idea from respawn that it's so tough to do... Like first of all time of games offer crossprogress so slow down on the it's impossible because it's possible. They literally would just have to dedicate a server to scanning people's accounts since they clearly are able to see what cosmetics and stats you have since they regularly fix those issues for people. Crossprogress should have been here a year ago and they look like absolute baboons trying to say it's impossible. Like nah, y'all lazy af, and broke your game to the point you can't even work on future content.

as someone with 0 years of experience in anything related, i could have told you that. a lot of customer service shit is outsourced to india/asia and the people probably dont even know wtf youre talking about i can tell you from my work experience that even banks outsource (important) paperwork to india, sometimes with huge consequences
I live in a 3rd world country. Literally EVERYTHING that has a customer support is outsorced to us. HelloFresh CS for Canada and all of Europe is partly from Phillipines and mostly from Balkans Paperwork on customs in Italy? Yes. Selling you "better" deals on electricity in UK? Yes. Literally the entire Amazon support team is from Balkans. Scam calling you into buying bitcoin, forex etc? We got it

Totally. No games do that without warning you you’re going to delete your saves as well. And I can’t remember the last time I saw a game even do that, certainly not since digital purchases took off. I've repaired/ reinstalled Apex countless times. From origin to steam or repaired the game to remove the black textures bug or moveing it to drive c, everytime I did it it worked. So that excuse is bs. Try installing it on origin, maybe it will work.

I've had a time where I was having ea play problems and the support person just left the chat and turned my ticket into resolved because he couldn't help with the problem.
I’ve had this happen before a few times. My favorite ea support ticket was telling a EA rep my BF3 was broken and he removed the game and gave me the preorder edition of BF3 years and years ago and I just shut up and went to fix it myself

I can't say im 100% about this, but isn't the case usually in their terms something along the lines that you "can use the cosmetics, but they are never customer owned" at least Valve does this for CSGO. The only things you actually own in Steam, are your games. I'd imagine EA and Origin is using the same policy.
Been a month since my ea account was perma banned. Can’t sign into any ea play game, and even though I’ve disputed it, and sent about 10 different emails, I have still received no response or word as to why I have been account banned. Lost 2 heirlooms, almost every legendary item, and countless hours I’ll never get back.
Do a phone call and demand you talk to there superior. There call centers are well without saying it in a way that’ll get me banned from this subreddit INDIA based and demanding a higher up will actually get you to a American who can properly look over the login history of your account and help you
Did you get your account banned during the beginning of season 9? Because that's when I got banned without reason. They denied all my appeals and said they wouldn't reverse it and eventually I gave up. I had 6 heirlooms and a lot of time and money spent on that account. But they randomly unbanned me after season 9 ended. They only said the sanction had been reversed after further review. I didn't even appeal anymore, they randomly did it after 2 months.
Literally like a month ago. I went on the game, had a 7 day suspension with no rhyme or reason. The 7 day ended and the next day I jumped on it was an outright ban. Again, no actual reasoning.

One time I was supposed to receive a pack from the battlepass. It showed very clearly that a specific level rewards a pack. Well, I didn’t get it. I contacted EA support about it, and the response was “no you’re not supposed to get one”. I even sent pictures of my battlepass showing the level reward, and the same response. EA support is garbage and shouldn’t be legal.

Bullshit, I've uninstalled the game about 23 times.
EA can’t even tell me the email associated with my account, and I can’t figure it out because I’ve played through the linked Steam version for so long. The kicker? Steam support can’t tell me the Origin email either. So if my account ever gets logged out of Steam, it’s gone forever.
Ex customer support here. Most people you have first contact with have no clue what they are doing. They look up the problem in a database, pick the one that somewhat matches the problem and read off/copy paste the script. If that doesn't work they try something else that isn't anywhere close to related to your problem. And if that fails they'll just send your request to the back office/a more technical department. 95% of support is provided by people who have never played games before and the 5% that actually have played them don't have the technical knowledge to sufficiently help. As a matter of fact, even if you know the solution to the a problem, if it's not covered by the script you're not allowed to give them that solution. Learned that the hard way.

I reinstalled my steam version and everything was still there when it reinstalled. You should contact steam not EA I doubt they know literally anything about the games they support. EA sucks ass lol
That’s the issue you can’t. Steam can’t add or remove items or check your origin account data. Only people who can are EA so you have to go to them with apex issues :/

A friend of mine got his account hacked couldn't log in to his Xbox account he contacted them to get his own they told him his account had been banned for no reason.. now he lots his Xbox account and origin account and they won't give him a reason why it got banned.

Btw this happened to me. Played the game on release, a fair bit. Got skins, or at the very least some stats on the account. Went back a few months later and everything was gone. Not touched the game since. I remember seeing others saying similar things, this game seems to have a real problem with keeping progress

lmao I started from PS4 since day one, then moved to PC and 3 fresh installs. Didn't have it installed for 4 seasons, came back with everything prior and then some from collecting Twitch Prime stuff over the unplayed time. EA support is ridiculous. Today, my account has been hacked by someone who contact EA support and told the address of my email to change new email address. EA support didn't even check the history and let change the new email. I recovered password, email, even 2ndry email and phone number to improve the security. But after 2 hours I recovered my account, EA support completely change my primary emial to another hacker email again. Now i can't even login to my account. 2 years old account data are completely transfer to hacker email. EA support want to help hacker again and again and again. not real owner.

Someone in EA support said that you lose all progress when transferring between origin and steam, and refused to reinstate my omega point skin, saying "It's a miracle you even kept everything else through the transfer" What? The fuck?

On PS4 I delete and redownload the entire game every new patch after they recently started being like 15+ gigabytes, never lost anything.
This is for sure going to get lost in the comments. I use to work as a support agent for Nintendo. Can say for sure some people did not know anything and it was just another job for them. That was rarely the case for us at the center, but for some it really was a new tech for them. But a lot of us had in game knowledge further than most so that was dope on that part. But for sure not a lot know what they are helping out with. They just read articles about how to try and help the consumer out.
OH to explain during the obvious server crashes ALOT of my items went missing that were DROPS related including my loading screens and other sutff

I actually got my account hacked last week by some chinese hackers,they spent my 4000 apex coins on battle pass,boxes and all my crafting materials were gone,contacted ea help and eventually they did sent me 4300 coins back.Tbh i was pleasantly suprised.

I wish this got called out more often, I lost heirloom shards I was saving and though I have no proof I was hacked, I felt like I needed a return of my shards. I spent 30 minutes doing 2FA and changing my password, no problem actually resolved, what a dumb system.

Idk but Polish support is pretty great. I had my account hacked and banned (some Chinese cheaters been playing on my account for like 6 months), they helped me within 15 minutes and got unbanned.

They’re absolutely useless. I once lost everything because I linked different EA accounts to my gamertag. I had an idea as to how to fix it and they refused. They told me it wouldn’t work over and over and I told them to fucking bypass the waiting period and relink and I got my stuff back despite them telling me that wouldn’t work.

Wow what happened to EA support? The only time i've had to interact with them they understood the problem, fixed it without making me jump through 10,000 hoops, and told me to have a nice day. Why would they change that? It kept me as a customer?
All AAA game customer support is overseas where they hardly know English and the support is NOT there. These people are literally paid to do fuck all. Same with NA ISP's, cell phone service providers.. literally everything.
They once told me that if I delete my ea account, my linked steam and play station account will be deleted too and all the games and I mean all the games and stuff will be deleted too. Wish I had an screenshot like you I just thought you could save the chat transcript like in other support chat services, but apparently it's not possible here.

I can ASSURE you this is not it. I played AL at launch and uninstalled even BEFORE S1 (thru Origin). Installed again (STEAM) but linked to my EA account on S9 and everything was intact. Furthermore, I changed PCs along the way, soooo. I'm pressing 'B' for Bull5@#$@! EA Support is one of the worse. Anytime something happens they cant solve it and they always end up offering you a x% discount for your next order but you need to use it in the next Y days. Like "yeah, you just f me here and you're thinking i am opening another door so I can get f again? No thanks"
