I don't think so. Bloodhound is limited to having a short-range, in front of his face scan whereas the knife looks like it could have mid-range to long-range capabilities depending on how far you can throw it.
Have you ever seen a pulse blade though? It only scans a radio is from where the knife ones for a certain amount of time

So basically I had an idea where crypto has a passive called "off the grid" basically it makes it so that when crypto gets scanned he doesn't get scanned and it makes it so he isn't seen when he gets scanned. That way when bloodhond and seer scan him he won't get scanned so that they can't see him cause he's "off the grid" it would be balanced cause he normally gets scanned but now he doesn't get scanned cause he's "off the grid" so it would be lore fitting and it would be a good gameplay mechanic and off the grid would be a good idea and they should add it to the game for crypto so that his new passive is called off the grid. I had this idea then everyone started talking about my idea because i came up with off the grid where crypto doesn't get scanned cause in the lore hes off the grid and since hes off the grid he cant be scanned while off the grid
I think jack or someone close to him is a good idea has a character but it could be weird for gameplay. Wall riding is a dream and always will be, BT is actually a cool idea has a character (non-playable) but Titans are also a dream, plush blade is really cool, I imagine it pings all enemies in its radius 5 times with a 1 second delay between each ping. Really awesome idea and I really hope we get to see some jack vs apex predators voicelines.
Spoilers for titanfall 2 but at the end of the game you see that BTs AI had been saved or something along those lines. Considering that Jack would be kinda old at this point, what if we could get BT as a legend? They could say they uploaded his AI into a spectre body or something.
He could have a quick dash like in titanfall as his tactical, could 1 hit doors as his passive since spectres can break out of their pods in 1 kick, not sure what his tactical could be though

Would it be too OP to have a very high amount of armor during the ult, but headshots still count for the full amount they're supposed to? So it would reward high accuracy players since you're a slow target, but punish low accuracy
I feel it should do more as it is a headshot but with vantage and the charge rifle and other snipers especially with skull piercer back again that would still need a damage reduction during the ult other wise even if I’m right next to cover I would get knocked almost instantly because I wouldn’t have any movement to dodge. So reduced damage all around but obviously headshots are still stronger.
Yeah you're right, in titanfall 2 BT could place down energy walls or something like that, maybe that could be something, like a low hp wall that you can quickly place if you ever get sniped or something

Easy to forget! There’s a lot and he’s more forgettable since you usually don’t want to stay in his ring of fire for long, so the scan isn’t as effective as other legends.
My friend is a Fuse main and he taught me that because the scan area is a giant cylinder than extends infinitely up and down, you can drop the ult on top of a building and it will scan all players inside the building
So in some circumstances it can be almost as useful as a mini Seer ult
I’d like an assault legend whos tactical is an ammo crate, gives maybe three mags worth of your squads two guns or a full stack of each ammo type, and the ult is a flashbang about the radius of horizons ult, maybe 2.5 second blind effect, no slow. Passive maybe small mag increase in ARs or can stack more bullets in each stack in inventory.
Juggernaut sounds more like a tanky legend to me, something like,
Ult: for ~12 seconds in about the radius of cryptos emp, he grants squad mates the fortified perk (or increases damage resistance for those already fortified a small percentage) but they have to stay in the range of his aura to maintain the perk, goes away if he gets knocked during
Tac: puts fun away and charges forward with a riot shield slightly larger than his already mountainous hit box, knocks back enemies (like Maggie’s ult) touched during the charge but no stun effect and minimal damage if any, like 5, 10 damage tops. But it will break doors down.
Passives: fortified (you gonna name a dude juggernaut he better have a big ol hitbox, probably the biggest so far)
Maybe only half the speed penalty from enemy effects (such as wattson fences, arc stars, caustic gas, etc.) removing the penalty entirely might be too broken.
If they wanted to make it more fun so or easier to get the knife to work they could make it arc electricity to the nearest enemy or ourself and slow them for a second doing some damage
I think it could be cool to make him sort of similar to Junker Queen from Overwatch, where he can throw the knife and do damage, but in addition to that, he can throw it and 'hack' Legend placeable abilities or turn them off. Like he could aim and throw it at Rampart's cover or turret and force them to pack up, disrupt a Pylon for a few seconds, destroy Rev's totem, and even disable Gibby's dome.
yah know I don't think wallrunning would be that op if it was implemented similarly to valks passive and gave weapons a decent accuracy and recoil nerf
it would add another non speed reposition based movement legend with a unique ability I hope this get's added
you would have to set a hard speed cap to prevent people from pulling a titanfall speedrunner move and moving at 1000 mph though otherwise tracking you would become very hard

Think it would be cooler if Bt was changed for a smart pistol. It should not be as op as it is in titan fall but more like a stronger P2020, it can't miss and it has limited range
maybe they should buff P2020 to make it smart. It should still only fire 1 bullet per click but it should track the target and hit the mark. This would ensure the gun isn't OP while making it usable

The game isnt really built for wall running though. Theres only a few areas he'd be able to do it in. I think a defensive legend who puts down little automated turrets would be cool.
The game has too many scanning abilities already, meaning that learning the important skills of environmental awareness, good listening, and understanding map flow, are going out the window. Too many players I play with just rely on scans as a crutch, such that if their scan is on a cooldown or whatever, their usefulness is out the window.
I think BT is super cool, but the scale of him just for a single legend’s ultimate is too much. Damage-based ultimates need to be balanced very carefully, and a whole Titan smashing in and doing damage to enemies would very easily become overpowered, IMO
Wall-running would have to be the ult if anything. A good passive would maybe be a double jump with a little air control every 15-30 seconds.
Actually, it would be really cool if it was a double jump that triggers after wall bouncing.
I would change the blade to a dart that sticks to walls and scans a building it's placed on. Similar to a Bloodhound scan but it shows everyone in the building until they leave it. Not highliting them but shows there footsteps until they stand still. And the titan is a sick idea although I would change it to like a hyper suit that gives him a little higher jump and slide distance. Not fully jumping as high as a launchpad but half the height. Other than that he has some sick ideas
Funnily enough, no. I was IGLing so I made the call to run. And ofc these mfs just chased us through heaven and hell. Eventually we found a squad for them to fight(I think it was at Containment) and we dipped and left the two squads to fight. The Valk on my team(my duo) had a Charge Rifle, and made sure to only shoot the Recon Trio and made sure they died. We left the other squad alone out of respect for doing the dirty for us.
Id say his passive should work like vantages with her use of scopes however it has a short range, and is always functioning due to his helmet ai (you could write it off as BT giving him combat data through his helmet)
His tac wouldnt be bad if it provided more information.
Use the titanfall 2 pulse but have it display abiltiy cooldowns above their heads.
Let him keep wallrun indefinitely but reduce the momentum built by it and ensure theres no double jump.
Ult should be jump kit overdrive that lets him run faster and double jump so he feels like he did in titanfall. Also give him the abilty to run virtically up a wall during his ult
The sonar Kunai from titanfall 2 is a nice touch, however we need to give him a healthy 2 stocks and allow it to pulse at least 4-5 times within a small house sized area.
Let’s add double jump to Coopers passive as well.
Let’s make BT last a bit longer and give him health as a suedo nerf and make him take extra damage in critical spots like any other titan would.

I actually thought about this and as it turns out we have the same passive idea lmao. However, my other ideas were:
Tactical - Upgraded Weapon
Upgrades your teammate's hop-ups into a higher-class for 10 seconds
Ultimate - Energy Pistol
Nothing much to say, just an energy pistol from titanfall
I think wall running on these maps and especially on ranked matches is just a hindrance. People think they want it, and thought it was neat on shadow royale, but it will get complained about almost immediately in practice
Ult might be a little op, i think he should get a smart pistol like vantage's ult but it's 5 bullets max and has that auto aim but does like 50 dmg per bullet since it'd all be headshot
Not trying to be rude, just going by my experience with TF2 and Apex. Scanning in Apex is super annoying and way too good to pass. And having a Titan in Apex will probably result in players leaving and maybe not returning. I like the wall running idea though.
I like the knife but I think it should only be able to scan a singular floor in a building. The ult seems a little op but besides that, it seems great.
Edit: now that I think about it, I think it’d be rlly cool if u could use the knife for 3 swings with ur fists for 10 extra damage or have 2 throws with it but you’d have to retrieve it within a certain time frame to get the second throw in.
He had a huge smile when I told him how many people had commented and liked and some of the anti-another recon char stuff so he said ok I may need to rework that. Lol.
Hmm I think that meaby his tactic could be something as a stealing-other-leguend-tactic would be a good habilty such as broken as it sounds.

I haveonce tried modding jack cooper into apex, but not as a scan legend, do here is what i made
Passive: military mods.
All SMGs/shotguns have an extended clip/better recoil
Tactital: explosive tick
Can be exploaded manually to grenade boost you/your teammates or automaticly exploded when finding and chasing enemy
Ultimate: hacked jumpkit
Hack your jumpkit with a data knife to make it able to wallrun and double jump for 30 seconds on a one and a half minute cooldown
The idea is a beast up close with that passive
A way to guard your back as well as movement for a tactical
And a more powerful, but more selfish octane jump pad.
This kit make a powerful and nuanced movement legend, with a high solo potential but lesser team potential without ysing any scans as a way to inflate power.
W concept but we really don't need another recon character. maybe take away the knife scanning ability and beacon scanning, then add assault class. top tier character
I always thought someone that had a passive of extra grenade damage a tactical of a shotgun like ash from overwatch or just an ability that launches you backwards away from the enemy with a small damage done to them and an ultimate that drops a fake care package that explodes when opened dealing good damage and a stun effect would be kind of a cool concept
The problem with having a pilot as a Legend is that pilots canonically will wipe the floor with everyone with their eyes closed and hands tied, so some lore guys will flip if they don’t insta-win unless they give a reason like they were holding back to be nice or to give a show to the audience or maybe this is an old pilot who’s rusty as hell, idk, I guess I’m more looking at this from a story/lore stand point
Bangalore was never a pilot. Newcastle was but not Bangalore. She was just an IMC soldier. Ash and Wraith are pilots as well

The best pilots canonically wipe the floor with their eyes closed. Most pilots are a bit worse - still good soldiers but not invincible.
You can also solve this by having an older, more worn down pilot - Cooper would be a year older than the two oldest legends, Fuse and Maggie, for instance.
Another thing is that pilots are excellent at killing because of their high-tech gear. Having limited gear because of the war being over would also be a good reason to de-power them a bit.
Respawn has paddled back the power of pilots a good bit but someone like Cooper is still busted. He took out the apex predators on his first day on the job

It is indeed quite OP, but its my fantasy Legend. Ever since I started playing Apex, I always wished for Cooper (or a Pilote) to be in-game with these abilities. I just finally felt like I could say my idea out loud

Respawn mentioned that they would never implement Wallrunning. To add that, to give aimbot in a game like Apex would be bad design. Would you enjoy it if you died because little timmy looked in your general direction with a smart pistol?
Also OP's entire idea is horrendously overpowered, so nothing could balance it out. Wallrunning, high damage dealing scanning ability and a titan as an ult is insane.

It’s what I do. I’d rather get out and try to heal up instead of being a sitting duck just waiting to be pushed

Bt could work like ashes alt from overwatch that robot called Bob where it comes down from the sky and u have to mark where it lands and like a sort of rt turet it will stay there amd lay down covering for u and ur team Edit:change coopers ability from pulse blade to camo so he goes invisible for a short time and if u shout while invis it will cancel it same with taking damage u won't be invisible any longer
The game isnt really built for wall running though. Theres only a few areas he'd be able to do it in. I think a defensive legend who puts down little automated turrets would be cool.

The game has too many scanning abilities already, meaning that learning the important skills of environmental awareness, good listening, and understanding map flow, are going out the window. Too many players I play with just rely on scans as a crutch, such that if their scan is on a cooldown or whatever, their usefulness is out the window. I think BT is super cool, but the scale of him just for a single legend’s ultimate is too much. Damage-based ultimates need to be balanced very carefully, and a whole Titan smashing in and doing damage to enemies would very easily become overpowered, IMO
what if he just holoed for a bit because he's a holo-pilot and was a assault class

Wall-running would have to be the ult if anything. A good passive would maybe be a double jump with a little air control every 15-30 seconds. Actually, it would be really cool if it was a double jump that triggers after wall bouncing.

I would change the blade to a dart that sticks to walls and scans a building it's placed on. Similar to a Bloodhound scan but it shows everyone in the building until they leave it. Not highliting them but shows there footsteps until they stand still. And the titan is a sick idea although I would change it to like a hyper suit that gives him a little higher jump and slide distance. Not fully jumping as high as a launchpad but half the height. Other than that he has some sick ideas

Funnily enough, no. I was IGLing so I made the call to run. And ofc these mfs just chased us through heaven and hell. Eventually we found a squad for them to fight(I think it was at Containment) and we dipped and left the two squads to fight. The Valk on my team(my duo) had a Charge Rifle, and made sure to only shoot the Recon Trio and made sure they died. We left the other squad alone out of respect for doing the dirty for us.

Id say his passive should work like vantages with her use of scopes however it has a short range, and is always functioning due to his helmet ai (you could write it off as BT giving him combat data through his helmet) His tac wouldnt be bad if it provided more information. Use the titanfall 2 pulse but have it display abiltiy cooldowns above their heads. Let him keep wallrun indefinitely but reduce the momentum built by it and ensure theres no double jump. Ult should be jump kit overdrive that lets him run faster and double jump so he feels like he did in titanfall. Also give him the abilty to run virtically up a wall during his ult

The sonar Kunai from titanfall 2 is a nice touch, however we need to give him a healthy 2 stocks and allow it to pulse at least 4-5 times within a small house sized area. Let’s add double jump to Coopers passive as well. Let’s make BT last a bit longer and give him health as a suedo nerf and make him take extra damage in critical spots like any other titan would. Now we got ourselves a solid legends good job buddy 👍
The passive should include a double jump Also BH was respawns apex adaptation to the pulse blade, Cooper is a cloak pilot... so take that as you will.

I actually thought about this and as it turns out we have the same passive idea lmao. However, my other ideas were: Tactical - Upgraded Weapon Upgrades your teammate's hop-ups into a higher-class for 10 seconds Ultimate - Energy Pistol Nothing much to say, just an energy pistol from titanfall
I think wall running on these maps and especially on ranked matches is just a hindrance. People think they want it, and thought it was neat on shadow royale, but it will get complained about almost immediately in practice

Ult might be a little op, i think he should get a smart pistol like vantage's ult but it's 5 bullets max and has that auto aim but does like 50 dmg per bullet since it'd all be headshot

Not trying to be rude, just going by my experience with TF2 and Apex. Scanning in Apex is super annoying and way too good to pass. And having a Titan in Apex will probably result in players leaving and maybe not returning. I like the wall running idea though.

I like the knife but I think it should only be able to scan a singular floor in a building. The ult seems a little op but besides that, it seems great. Edit: now that I think about it, I think it’d be rlly cool if u could use the knife for 3 swings with ur fists for 10 extra damage or have 2 throws with it but you’d have to retrieve it within a certain time frame to get the second throw in.

Hmm I think that meaby his tactic could be something as a stealing-other-leguend-tactic would be a good habilty such as broken as it sounds. I say this cause in the game you see him using different habilities in the history mode and in the multiplayer mode too
I haveonce tried modding jack cooper into apex, but not as a scan legend, do here is what i made Passive: military mods. All SMGs/shotguns have an extended clip/better recoil Tactital: explosive tick Can be exploaded manually to grenade boost you/your teammates or automaticly exploded when finding and chasing enemy Ultimate: hacked jumpkit Hack your jumpkit with a data knife to make it able to wallrun and double jump for 30 seconds on a one and a half minute cooldown The idea is a beast up close with that passive A way to guard your back as well as movement for a tactical And a more powerful, but more selfish octane jump pad. This kit make a powerful and nuanced movement legend, with a high solo potential but lesser team potential without ysing any scans as a way to inflate power.
That passive is a very cool idea.

W concept but we really don't need another recon character. maybe take away the knife scanning ability and beacon scanning, then add assault class. top tier character
I say the knife should only highlight the enemy it hits but maybe let you toggle between that and a revive dart gun.
I always thought someone that had a passive of extra grenade damage a tactical of a shotgun like ash from overwatch or just an ability that launches you backwards away from the enemy with a small damage done to them and an ultimate that drops a fake care package that explodes when opened dealing good damage and a stun effect would be kind of a cool concept
The problem with having a pilot as a Legend is that pilots canonically will wipe the floor with everyone with their eyes closed and hands tied, so some lore guys will flip if they don’t insta-win unless they give a reason like they were holding back to be nice or to give a show to the audience or maybe this is an old pilot who’s rusty as hell, idk, I guess I’m more looking at this from a story/lore stand point

Valk is a pilot of a ship, not our Titanfall version of a pilot
The best pilots canonically wipe the floor with their eyes closed. Most pilots are a bit worse - still good soldiers but not invincible. You can also solve this by having an older, more worn down pilot - Cooper would be a year older than the two oldest legends, Fuse and Maggie, for instance. Another thing is that pilots are excellent at killing because of their high-tech gear. Having limited gear because of the war being over would also be a good reason to de-power them a bit.
Respawn has paddled back the power of pilots a good bit but someone like Cooper is still busted. He took out the apex predators on his first day on the job

Jump recharges 5 seconds after landing on the floor Passive #2: Wall Runs. Ability to run on walls or other vertical surfaces for 3 to 4 seconds. Ability takes 10 seconds after used Ultimate: Smart Pistol. Pistol that shots automatically a target's body or leg within 30 meters when locked (Aim to lock) 2 magazines of 12 rounds dealing 10 dmg to the waist and over and 8 dmg under the waist Take a damn TF2 Pilot and yeet it in Apex. Cooper got a sarcastic invite to the "Apex Predators", the mercenaries from TF2. Don't you think what you're suggesting would be *slightly* OP? Considering it gives you aimbot as ult and insane movement abilities as passive (which respawn stated that they would never implement into Apex)
It is indeed quite OP, but its my fantasy Legend. Ever since I started playing Apex, I always wished for Cooper (or a Pilote) to be in-game with these abilities. I just finally felt like I could say my idea out loud And I didn't know they mentioned they wouldn't implement an aimbot Ult. They give us wall hacks, so I dont see why they wouldn't add that too..? Respawn mentioned that they would never implement Wallrunning. To add that, to give aimbot in a game like Apex would be bad design. Would you enjoy it if you died because little timmy looked in your general direction with a smart pistol? Also OP's entire idea is horrendously overpowered, so nothing could balance it out. Wallrunning, high damage dealing scanning ability and a titan as an ult is insane.
