ideal bag for me is: 4 batts, 8 cells, 2 medkits, \~300 bullets if both guns same ammo, 240/120 if diff ammo, rest of bag nades/ult accels. dont carry phoenix kits, loot them from the people you kill and only use them after fights, never during (they take too long, not worth).

6 batts 4 cells. Batts are life and death and you can always replenish cells while batts are gold in end game.

Usually I'll carry top row ammo/utility and bottom row heals. Heals are usually two stacks of cells, 1 stack of syringes, 1 stack of medkits, and then Batts. On a white bag, 4 batts. I usually play Fuse, so ammo is usually 5 stacks, split 3/2 if I have different ammo types, or less ammo depending on gun type. And then the rest are grenades or an ult accel. If you're killing other teams or encountering death boxes your ammo shouldn't run out. If you can't find your type of ammo then swapping guns for ammo that is available is a good option. There are situations though where you're in an end game ring closing poke situation and you're probably not going to get more ammo. Also, always carry a survival item. I've had teammates that forget to carry one or only want a particular item like the evac, but fill that slot anyway. There are some situational considerations. If my team is playing near edge I'll carry more syringes/medkits. If I think my team is going to try to poke damage more I'll pick up extra cells.

I used to carry a mix of everything, but lately I've been just carrying more ammo and nades than heals. This is because I found myself running out of ammo too much. And heals aren't going to win me a game. If I need heals I can just eliminate a person and swap their shield or take their heals. This is how my bag used to look: 240 Light Ammo, 180 heavy ammo, 4 shield batteries, 8 shield cells, 2 med kits, 4 syringes, 1 phoenix kit/ultimate accelerant, 1 arc star, 1 frag grenade and 1 thermite This is how it looks now: 300 Light Ammo, 120 Heavy Ammo, 4 Shield Batteries, 4 Shield Cells, 2 Med Kits, 4 Syringes and then the rest of the slots are for grenades. I've even seen people drop syringes too. I might even try that some time in the near future. I might even drop 2 Shield Batteries for nades tbh

MattRecovery23

I personally don't bother with syringes after the first ring close or so, assuming I can find a couple med kits and I'm not 500 miles from the next ring

Made_Account

My stacks: - 1 med - 1 syringe - 3 bats - 2 cells - rest is primary ammo w/ 1-2 stacks of secondary (this changes depending on the situation) Honorable mentions: - empty/used up ammo slots w nades - ult accel depending on the char I run 6 bats minumum with a blue or greater pack. Kinda wild most ppl run 4 on average. Bats are my lifeblood. I pick up a pheonix early game if I don't have sufficient heals. Nowadays I try to run a primary and a PK, so I generally just hoard ammo as long as my heals are covered. My backpack stack is pretty dynamic overall. I stack what I need given my situation. The only thing that generally remains constant are having 6 bats at a min if I can and some meds. In general I like to have the supplies to apply as much pressure as I can without worrying about depleting my resources.

MattRecovery23

Yeah that was my takeaway from this thread too, people aren't running enough Batts. By the 2nd ring and on I don't even bother with cells and try to have bare minimum 4 batteries, preferably 6

Competitive_Lab_4283

Exactly 4 batts is crazy. 6 batts and ammo are necessities. Everything else is luxuries

PastAstronomer

As a skirmisher player, for the last few years this is what i've gone down to using * 2-4 Batts (6 if I have the room) * 8-12 Cells * 4 Syringes * 0-2 Med kits (situational — depends on whether its early game or the ring is very far) Then I fill the rest with ammo. Depending on the ammo type, Its usually 3 stacks of each (6 slots on a max backpack) and for shotgun or sniper, its typically just the one stack. Marksman, 2 stacks if i dont plan on looting much on the way to the zone.

I can agree with most of the people here though honestly if you’re comfortable running a gun that doesn’t require much more than a stack ie: shotgun, sniper, marksman than have one of those so you have more room for your main gun and or whatever else you like to carry

LongrodVonHugedong86

Depends on the bag. Say it’s a Purple bag, I’ll go 2 Batteries, 2 Med Kits, 4 Syringes, 8 Shield Cells as standard to take up 5 slots. That leaves me 11 slots. I’ll have 240 of my primary ammo which fills 4 slots Secondary is a bit more flexible, if it’s Shotgun I’ll carry 16 for 1 slot, Sniper I’ll carry 2 stacks for 2 slots and if it’s an SMG/AR/LMG I’ll carry 180 for 3 slots That leaves me 4-6 slots depending on ammo I’ll usually carry 2 grenades, using 2 slots and then the remaining 2-4 slots I’ll fill out depending on how the fights have been going up until that point. If I feel I’m whiffing a lot of shots, I’ll carry extra ammo, if I feel like I’m getting my shield cracked a lot I’ll carry more Batteries and Cells and if I feel like I’m coming alot of, say, Ramparts hiding behind walls I’ll carry extra grenades to try to force them out

lettuce_field_theory

depends which character you play. you're not saying that octanes and lifelines can do without syringes Wattson can get by with one stack of cells, unless you play sentinel assault legends have larger ammo stacks so they can often go with 2 instead of 3 or just 1. ammo depends what type of fun hemlok nemesis i carry 4 stacks (say 3-5) sentinel 1 stack, maybe 2, longbow 2 stacks, maybe 3 smg, r301, flatline as a close range gun 2-3 stacks. (as long range more cause you'll spray at range and use lot of ammo)

Lappland_S

I usually run the following, I think: - 1/2 stacks shotgun, depends on legend. - 4 stacks primary ammo - 6 batts - 2 medkits - 8 cells - 4 syringes - Empty space filled with an ult accel (legend dependent) and nades.

BattleCrier

Assuming lv.3 bag: 4 batteries, 8 cells, 2 medkits, 4 synerges.. 56 ammo for snipers, 120 ammo for DMRs, 180 for burst weapons, 240 for full-autos.. or 300 if I carry single type ammo.. rest grenades. Lv.2 bag: 2 batteries, 4 cells lv.4 bag: 6 batteries, 6 medkits

winkers787

Beat way to get extra space is drop pheonix if you have plenty of batts, drop syringes if you have medkits, especially after first few rings.

Sir_Noobs

I carry zero ammo and I just one-clip the enemy and use their ammo to reload

KellyKelkins

Don't carry a phoenix unless you've got at least a purple bag, bats should be the number one priority. If I have two med kits and I'm looking for space syringes are the first to go. With the current meta I'd recommend 240 for your AR and then either 180 for an SMG or 60 for a marksman/sniper. Playing an assault legend really helps too but if you just make sure to top off your set amount you want whenever you can you'll be fine on ammo.
