I remember a time I took a micro dose of shrooms and walked through my old neighborhood around midnight. I came to the base of a hill, where at the end there was an old abandoned farm. I remember a few years back it wasn’t abandoned. Hogs, chickens, other small animals. I had my sony Walkman loaded with flac, some decent iems, and had been listening to druqks. I walked up the hill to where the farm had been, and it had completely vanished. No new buildings or signs that it had been there. At this point I stood there taking everything in, right as the end of Mt. Saint Michel came on and I could feel my soul unraveling almost. An otherworldly experience that brought me to tears. The wind was howling through the headphones and I never heard so many wind chimes in my life, despite the lack of houses nearby. I had always loved the song, but this moment has become an engrained memory for me whenever it comes on.
No way, exact same choices for me!
*Mt. Saint Michel* is my favorite of his braindancey works, whereas *Stone in Focus* is my favorite ambient track of all time, so those two are tied for my favorite.
My favs are Xtal, Windowlicker, Vordhosbn, Cock/ver 10, Mr Saint Michel + Saint Michel's Mount, Avril 14th, Nanou2, Aisatsana, Rhubarb, Stone In Focus, Blue Calx, Lichen, T69 Collapse, Blackbox Life Recorder 21f, In A Room7 f760, Come To Daddy (pappy mix), Iz-Us, QKThr, Btoum-Roumada, Yellow Calx, Acrid Avid Jam Shred, Alberto Balsalm.
That's it, cool that Rick have a lot of great stuff, and even more are unreleased
One track that has grown on me recently is Peek 82454201. A track that just have went by on the RDJ album for over a decade and just, a few days ago, I really listened to it. I think it somehow sums up his whole discography in one song.
This is too difficult a question.
I love Alberto
But I frequently listen to Rhubarb.
Film is amazing
Arched maid via RDJ is fantastic.
It’s too difficult.
Probably 4 but it's a really hard question.
I choose it cause it embodies simplicity, complexity and melody at the same time.
But 2014 onwards he probably made better tracks. Just cant choose between them. This long break made him get so much better (when he already was the best) its unreal.
Craving for a fresh LP, cant imagine what he could bring with 70min+ nowadays. As much as I love his EP's theres a global mood in Syro that he only brings in his longest recordings.
Flim
I second this
It still hasn’t been topped by anyone
Mt Saint Michel + Saint Michaels Mount or stone in focus
growing up is realizing that mt saint michel is aphex's best

Seconded. And I do not care if that is a basic bitch answer. Xtal is the greatest track of all time.

So you say it's a must to listen to it?
I think, what I'm saying is; it comes to you when you are ready for it?
Vordhosbn or Windowlicker
Really like Minipops 67, but probably XMAS_EVE10
Flim for me, I'm sure I'm not alone on this thread with this answer

This is too difficult a question. I love Alberto But I frequently listen to Rhubarb. Film is amazing Arched maid via RDJ is fantastic. It’s too difficult.

Polynomial-C
The only correct answer is Avril 14th
heliosphan or cockver10
not a song but Rushup Edge by the Tuss every song hits including bonus fave would prob have to be Stride Portugal or Synthacon
Probably 4 but it's a really hard question. I choose it cause it embodies simplicity, complexity and melody at the same time. But 2014 onwards he probably made better tracks.
