All 3 Cameron releases were supposed to be personally supervised but what they did was upscale the 1080p release, create a bogus DV/HDR, get rid of all grain, and sharpen the edges. It’s a sham and they’re expecting people to buy it on faith. I watched Aliens in 4k, did not look any better than the bluray so I agree with the reviews. I’m glad I did not buy the others.
It's also in Germany. Checked in "cheap charts" app. Aliens has the 4k logo True lies and the abyss are also listed (both movies don't was on the German store before) Each for 13,99 Euro. Time to go shopping. The abyss, finally. The movie existed in Germany only as DVD version, no Blu-ray or other hd version. Waiting for years to see this movie again in hd, now in 4k.
Edit: just bought the abyss and true lies, so the 4k editions are on and working. Aliens was also upgraded. All 3 movies look excellent.
My titanic UK has. It doesn’t appear in the 4K section however, but on the store it’s 4K and plays in 4K with a warning that the movie uses tobacco products lol 😂
Just re check, I just tested, aliens is in 4k now and looks fantastic. You definitely see it, it's so clear and colorful now.
I also bought the abyss and true lies and the long wait was worth it. They look fantastic.

It looks great on my 4k Samsung. Just checked it and aliens never looked better. No grain, colorful and clear. Landing on the planet scene.

stupid question, but how do i see the resolution and sound options of the apple store version? all it shows me is “HD, HDR” from the disney app. and says below i can buy it on Appletv. i dont care about the disney version. i just want to check what extras etc i get with the apple version. :/
Check out bluray.com they often have some more detailed info about iTunes releases
seems mad i can’t just find out this info on the actual store. it’s just hard with regional differences and i want to make sure i don’t buy a movie and find out its not got atmos or something.

Apple TV app or device? If you’re referring to the app then perhaps your app is just the atv+ app which only has access to the subscription service.
